At Home in Key West did a fine job of managing the rental and was responsive to any issues.
For our purposes, it was adequately sized for two people but we would have been uncomfortable if there were additional people with us.
Location was great, we would stay in Truman annex or close by this area in the future. The property had the amenities described.
The unit needs refurbishment. Looks like the owner may be refurbishing one room at a time, the kitchen was new and the bedrooms recently redone.
The bathroom and living room/entranceway needs to be refurbished. Musty odor from damp floors/carpet on initial entry. Wood floor in hallway buckled from moisture. We ran the aC more than we would and aprayed deodorizer to rectify the situation.
As there was a note on the key package we picked up advising of the water issue we ignored and made the best of it.
Back door allowed rainwater to enter when closed and contributed to wet carpet. Bedroom window was paint stuck. Had issue with the washing machine that was repaired by at Home promptly.
This could be a very nice but very small unit if and when the refurbishment is completed.

This was our first time staying at the Shipyard condos and we really enjoyed Key West Charming! It was very clean and the queen bed was quite comfortable. The space is small for 4 people but it works. The only suggestion would be to replace the bath fixtures. The shower head is awful, the faucet was pulling away from the wall and the bathtub doesn't drain very well but overall this is a wonderful property, close to everything. Eaton Bike rentals is just a block away, bikes are a great way to enjoy the island. We plan to stay at Key West Charming when we return to Key West. Read more

Our stay at the Key West was indeed charming, home was absolutely beautiful as seen on the pics, very comfy, clean and all the amenities were included, all we had to do was shop for food, lol. This was our first time in Key West and I must say my family and I would def go back and when we do we will def stay here. Home was close to everything, we did not need our car for anything, pool was very nice and clean, the surrounding area around was simply beautiful, loved it, Thank you so much for such beauty.

This was my 12th trip to Key West and loved it just as much as any before it. I was traveling with my Mom, Aunt and Uncle. I am in training for a Susan G Komen 60 mile 3 day walk so I walked everywhere I put on 61 miles last week on the Island. Condo we stayed was very comfortable only thing was the mixer did not work as Mom and my aunt wanted to make dinner at the room. I ate 3 times at Caroline's on Duval awesome. As I said had a great time will be calling again in 2 years for are semi annual trip. Thanks for a great week

We enjoyed our stay in Key West Charming. It had everything we needed for our stay. We had 3 adults and didn't feel crowded. It was a nice central location in Old Town so we were able to enjoy walking to many places.
The ladies at at Home were great to work with and I'll certainly call them for my next rental.

We were very pleased to be so close to all of the amenities and attractions that key west had to offer. The unit was somewhat small but very comfortable for 2 people and had everything that we needed provided for us throughout the week. The pool was very enjoyable. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit key west.

We loved the 2 bedroom condo. It was perfect for us and very convenient to all of our favorite places in Old Towne. We rented bikes just a block away and easily toured the island. The condo was clean and well supplied. I would suggest strips or a bathmat in the tub/shower as it was slippery. We were careful each time. Also, a dvd player may be a great addition as well as a stereo that worked. The cd player didn't like my cd. All in all, it was a perfect getaway!

Staying in truman annex was wonderful. We parked the car and did not get back in it until we were ready to go home. We rented bikes and used them to go wherever we needed..includeing the grocery store. Everything is accessible from Truman annex.

We have rented in Truman annex shipyard several times and love the location, thats what it is all about. If we visit Key West for less than a week we usually stay at the Pier House, for a week or longer Truman annex.
Small 2 bedroom one bath is good for couples, everything was clean and kitchen was equipped fine for our need. Two more people and it would be very tight.
Two things we would suggest, for quieter sleeping the Master bedroom should be in the back and there was no way to hook our Ipod to the antiquated stereo system there. We could have hooked it to the TV but did not bring the right adapter. Pretty minor stuff.
Nice outdoor space, whick is where we spent most of our time.

We had a great stay at Key West Charming. Finding the office and collecting our keys on arrival was like a treasure hunt! We found the condo easily and it was just as pictured. Location was great for walking to resturants etc. We were vacationing with our 2 year old daughter, and so spent most of our time at the beach, but hung out at the condo most evening. The BBQ was not working, but we just used the stove, and there was a lack of trash bags and some other essentials which was a little inconvinient, but overall the amenities within the condo were great. Key West Charming in Truman annex is an awesome condo. Nicely decoured and very clean. Very peaceful with no noise from neighbors. AtHomeKeyWest brokers were very helpful, friendly, and personable to communicate with. We would, without question, plan a return trip.
The location was great, but Key West Charming needs updates.

We have stayed in the Shipyard more than once, and we have rented through at Home in Key West each and every time. The location is awesome, and while the price is high, everything on the island is high. My problems have more to do with the quality of some of the rental units. Key West Charming, our latest stay, has rock-hard beds, and the outdated cupboards are falling apart. We even saw a cockroach or two in the kitchen. In general, the unit was not overly clean, and we had to wash every dish before we used it just to feel comfortable. I spent part of the first night cleaning before the rest of our guests arrived. We had to buy toilet paper, paper towels, and scouring pads because there was not enough for a week's stay. In general, the whole place needs major updating if it is going to ask for that kind of fee. At Home in Key West should do a better job of rating these properties because they all are not equal. Nice garden condo in Old Town (Truman Annex)

Although it wasn't the unit we reserved, due to a damage problem in the site of our original reservation we were moved to this unit. When we checked in on a Saturday night no one informed of us the change or the reason for it. The unit met our basic needs but was not at the level of the outstanding place we had looked forward to. A small refund was made to our credit card in the amount of one night's stay. The neighbors were often loud with much entertaining on the adjacent patio. However, the location was perfect for access to the water, restaurants and sunsets.

Everything was as it should be. The unit was comfortable and perfectly suited
for the two of us It is also close to the pool. Overall the location close to the
main drag is excellent. There were plenty of towels - not that we use a lot. I
could not get the radio to work and it might be checked.
Note - We were the last plane into BWI before it was closed for the blizzard
when we came home.
The Nearly Perfect Week in Key West

We arrived during non-business hours but had no trouble what-so-ever finding our key and getting to Truman Annex. I would say, had there not been a guard on duty at the gate leading to the Taylor Park, we would have had difficulty getting the code and entering our townhome, and there were times while we were on the island that the gate house was not manned. I am aware there may be something in place for these circumstances, but felt it was worth mentioning.
The townhouse itself was absolutely amazing. It was clean and well equiped with necessities. The complex was beautiful and the location was as near
perfect as I could have wanted. I was making these reservations having never been to or knowing anything about Key West, so I was an easy target for the accomodations to not be nearly as good as represented.
The only other suggestion I might make is maybe having information available in the townhome upon arriving with location of the trash dumpster and swimming pool. If this was in the information sent with confirmations, we missed it and I apologize.
I titled my review "nearly perfect" because the weather was not as cooperative as everything else, but I don't think the company can be held responsible for that.
I would like to thank you for a wonderful experience and, given the chance, we'll be back!

Key West Vacation

The condo location is in Old Town Key West, just 2 blocks from Duval Street and all the action but still quiet for the ability to retreat. We flew in to Ft.Lauderdale and drove down (I would fly in to Key West next time).
Scooter rentals are a good idea as there is limited parking on the island. We walked quite a bit right from the condo and sometimes took a cab.
The condo was clean and had everything you need. The mattress in the master bedroom (queen)was uncomfortable ( I woke up frequently during the night). The two twin beds in the second bedroom were okay by my 15 year old's standards.
The condo itself is on the smaller side so if you have more than 2 adults and 2 kids, it would be too small.
We would most likely stay there again as it is great being close to Duval Street.

My husband and I and our friends from Canada have stayed in Key West many times and after having rented homes outside Old Town decided to try the Truman Annex to enjoy the proximity to restaurants and shops. We rented this tidy, well-maintained property and three of us thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Ground-floor and back lane access with a cozy back yard, well-equiped kitchen and all amenities, including a very nice pool, rounded out an excellent stay. A more lounge-friendly living room armchair or love-seat would have been a welcome addition. And with one bathroom guests must be patient and accommodating, but overall the property was just fine.
