The Queen Conch property is a very well maintained property and provides the perfect setup for a small gathering of friends or family. The main common areas are large enough and comfortable for a small group to lounge around inside or out by the pool while you have the ability to pull of sit down meals... It's a great place for a large family or 4 couples to kick back and take in Key West while not missing the comforts of home.

Just returned from a wonderful stay at the Queen Conch. The house is situated on a beautiful tree lined street with all the perks of a quiet neighborhood, but only a short walk to the Duval crawl. We had four couples and one additional person in our party and the house was perfect. Each couple had the privacy and space they needed, but also we had a common area downstairs where we could have meals and gatherings. The gardens and pool outside were situated on a large lot (key west terms)and we had plenty of space to roam and enjoy the outside area. The house was clean, stocked well for cooking and with three refrigerators plenty of ice and storage. The only thing that would make this house better would be to add a outdoor bathroom and shower. Love the house and the neighborhood. We encountered a couple of problems. One was ants. We sprayed but didn't completely get rid of them. We also saw a small roach one time. The towels were numerous, but we kept running out of washcloths. Also we did a lot of cooking and there weren't any dishcloths so we bought some and left them.

Left on 05/15/2012 for a stay in May 2012
This is our (7 adults - ages 49 to 67) fifth trip to Key West and our fifth stay in this house. We just would not consider staying anywhere else. It is more than a house because downstairs offers two bedrooms with private baths, living room, dining area and kitchen and upstairs offers two separate apartments...each with one bedroom, bath, living room and full kitchen. The well landscaped backyard has a swimming pool. This house offers all the comforts of home and is well equipped, beautifully decorated, and clean. It is located in the historic district on Southard Street and is just 1 1/2 blocks from Duval Street. We walk everywhere we go. We love the Queen Conch and highly recommend it.

The Queen Conch was a wonderful and comfortable home that was maintained very well right up to the pool service. The location was great, so close to walking everywhere for great shopping, great food and awesome music, especially listening to Gerd Rube play. We loved the Fish Tacos at Hog's Breath, the Philly steak sandwiches & pizza at Mr. Z's for something quick to grab to eat. We honestly cannot say one thing that we disliked,as there was nothing!! We thank you for making our vacation stay a week to remember.

Everything was outstanding. From initial check in to check out, all went extremely well. The location is great for walking and visiting the Old Harbour and upper Duval Street. Quiet street, beautiful and clean house, great pool and outside lounging area. All accessories to include TV, kitchen appliances, and baths were outstanding, new and clean. Had a minor air conditioning problem in one of the upper apartments and it was taken care of immediately. We will definately stay again and cannot wait to return

We stayed at the Southard Street - Queen Conch as a large group. It was a gathering of old high school friends. We loved pool, and enjoyed it every single day. The house was warm and inviting. We would gather in the downstairs area, eat meals together, and plan our activities.
The house was conveniently located, we walked everywhere. One of the best things about the house was the pool and each couple having their own area to escape to at theend of the day. It is hard to find a least likething, aside from the rooster waking us up at 3:00 am! -

Left on 01/05/2012 for a stay in December 2011
We loved the house and the location because both were perfect for our needs. The washer wasn't working, but a call was made and a maintenance person arrived to fix the problem. Service was prompt and efficient. However, if the circuit continues to blow, I'd be wondering why this is happening. We had no complaints about the house. We did, however, have one observation. In the downstairs area there are lights under the cabinet. I wonder if you realize just how hot these lights get. Seriously, I don't think they are safe. We always made sure the boys turned them off as soon as they were finished in the kitchen area. The pool and surrounding area are very nice. The grounds are excellently maintained. Overall, we had a great time in Key West and our rental property contributed to our enjoyment.

The rental agency was great to work with...but most of all the owners of the home are meticulous about their property. The totally redone interior as well as the lush vegetation around the pool. The location was fabulous and we would definetly stay their again with 4 couples.

Note : the rating function is not working properly. We rate the property outstanding on all counts!
My husband and I had visited Key West with our children years ago. We wnted to return with them, their spouses and our grandson to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary.
Queen Conch accommodated us perfectly. Each couple had it's own space but we could comfortably getvtogether for social times and meals in the large living/dining room and around the pool.
The house was clean, well furnished and fully equipped. We liked being in a neighborhood and yet within walkin distane of everything we wanted to do and see. We spent a happy, unforgettable week. -

We had a perfect stay with 4 couples celebrating two 50th birthdays at this house. Everyone had their own privacy yet were able to enjoy quality time in the large living room downstairs and the private pool area in the back. Location is ideal by Duval Street and definitely would stay there again.

Great house near everything. Once had someone rent a condo I own in Charleston SC, who said they loved staying there because it took 5 minutes to get to their favorite bar and have a drink in hand, ditto ditto ditto!!!. Nice pool, secluded back yard you don't even realize how close you are to everything. Only draw back for some may be that it is separated into 3 units, 2 down in one unit and 2 separate units upstairs. Not a problem for us in the 4 times we have stayed there so far. Key West being Key West lock everything up at all times.

Left on 12/01/2010 for a stay in November 2010
The house was very nice, but I wouldn't rate it more than 3 stars. We rented the entire house and two of the rooms were upstairs separated from the main part of the house. So alot of walking up and down from the outside of the house to get to the main area. The water pressure was really bad in two of the bathrooms. Barely a drizzle in one. There is no common bathroom, so if your room was upstairs you either had to go outside and walk upstairs to use the bathroom or ask one of the other people to use their bathroom in their rooms. Other than these areas the house was nice.

We were in Key West for our daughter's wedding and needed a house large enough for eight plus a baby. Having the two areas upstairs was great for people to go out and not bother anyone when they returned. The pool was so nice to cool off after a day of sightseeing. We grilled out a couple of times and the dining area was large enough for the whole family to gather around. The location is excellent to Duval Street yet quiet in the evenings. All of us enjoyed the house and our time in Key West.

Left on 03/07/2010 for a stay in March 2010
The Southard Queen Conch house is a perfect accommodation for 4 couples, a family, two families, etc. It is two blocks from Duval and centered perfectly to give all parties an avenue to travel and sight see or party. The house is comfortable and beautifully decorated. The serenity of the pool and backyard gave everyone a nook to be alone or to socialize. We had a great time despite the cool weather. I totally recommend this property.

The home was very nice. Having the extra rooms for our older children upstairs gave us all the privacy to come and go. The kids enjoyed the night life and it was just a quick walk to Duval street. The Walgreens store was nice also. Having a washer and dryer helped us keep up with wet towels, the ocean was cold but, the heated pool was nice. Will stay here again next time we visit. Thanks

We have rented the Southard Street house for the last 10 years and hope to do so for at least the next 10! We had stayed at several other properties in KW before we found this treasure. All were very nice but this is perfect. It is wonderful home with all the necessary ammenities. The pool area is a little oasis with beautiful foliage that makes us feel like we're on our own island! The house is conveniently located to EVERYTHING! Just two blocks of Duval Street; the only time we need to drive or take a cab is to and from the airport.

My husband, two small children and I decided to rent the Southard Street House with two other families - it was the perfect location (and our second time there)! It is well situated two blocks from Duval Street in Old Town Key West, so most things are in walking distance. The outside of this house is very deceiving... as the inside is well furnished with comfortable and stylish accommodations - the kitchens are well equipped for in-home cooking, the bedrooms are comfortable and lovely, and the back yard is a private tropical paradise with a heated pool, BBQ and many places to lounge the day away on. This house and property are well maintained and kept clean!
The staff at Rent Key West Vacations are well organized, accommodating and curtious. As a group of travelers with many small children between us, they were able to meet many of our requests or give reliable referrals to businesses that could meet our needs: such as babysitting agencies, portable cribs and baby needs, bike rentals, etc.
We had such a great time here, we will be coming back again in the future. I would highly recommend this location to anyone!! -

This is our second stay at the Southard House, and our 9th visit to Key West. We had a BLAST! The support we received from Brad Richards at Rent Key West from our inital inquiry through the drop off of our keys as we left was great. He even helped us find a local personal chef to prepare dinner for us one night. The house is in the perfect location, two blocks off Duval so getting to our favorite spots was easy.
We tend to stay out late in the evening, and usually want a slice before heading home - Mr.Z's is our favorite pizza place (open till 4AM!) so we always stopped by as we left Duval and before we got back to the house. Also, two of our favorite restaurants, Marquesa and Sarabeth's were a block from the house. Believe me we took advantage of this for breakfast and dinner.
The house is great, the beds were comfy, the towels were nice, everything was spotless. Great service on the pool and the garden while we were there.
We would suggest upgrades to the stereo, including some outdoor music for pool side. Also, water pressure in the master shower was low.
We would stay there again in a heart beat. -

We LOVED this home! Everyone had their own beds and bathrooms. Beautifully decorated and GORGEOUS yard!! Plenty of serving platters, dishes, etc for big meals out by the pool. Quiet neighborhood with the exception of the wild roosters! Delicious place to pick up philly cheese steaks just down the street and plenty of restaurants deliver. The only negative things we found were the hardwood floors were filthy and that was where my 1 and 3 year old spent a lot of time playing but being on vacation you don't care too much. The other thing was the water pressure in one of the downstairs bathrooms was so bad I couldn't even wash my hair but there's another bathroom across the hall so no big deal! Overall, a fantastic find and I hope to go back some time.

Lovely home, great location, wonderful experience! You couldn't ask for a better location - just a short walk to Duval St and far enough away from the crowd if you wish to enjoy some quite time. This house is great for a large group because of the 2 seperate units on the 2nd story - all with their own seperate kitchen/bath. House was well-equipped. Large pool with lush tropical landscaping surrounding it. We fit two compact cars in the off-street parking spot along with a Harley. Late night munchie tip: Head down Southard St towards Duval, on rightside of Southard just before Duval intersection you'll find some of the BEST pizza in town - Mr. Z's!! You have lots available to you in just a short stroll from the house: Walgreens, ATM, restaurants, coffee, attractions! I've rented many homes throughout Key West and the "Queen Conch" is at the top of my list! I can't think of one bad thing to say. Rent Key West made our rental experience simple and easy.
