Louisville, KYWonderfully appointed and beautiful, well decorated unit, but mi

Overall 2317 was a very nice place to stay. We had absolutely no problem with the unit as a whole. The reasons that we did not give the full five starts stemmed from four fairly simply reasons. First, there was no blender in the unit. Second, and more important, the unit had a very nice and large balcony, but there was no grill. The balcony is perfect for an outdoor gas grill. We did use the community grill at the pool, but it sure would have been nice to have one right there to use as we watched the night skiers come down that mountain. Third, the layout of the Red Hawk lodge building was confusing. The layout is kind of a cross between Salvador Dali meets M.C. Escher. A map of the property would have been very helpful to have. Finally, the jetted tub in the master is a very nice deep soaking tub, but the decibel level of the jets, when turned on, was similar to a Nascar engine in the pit area. Other than those things, everything else was perfect. The bedrooms were nice and the vaulted ceilings really expanded the feel of the unit. The kitchen area was open and easy to navigate. Having a washer/dryer (dryer especially) in the unit was nice. The unit is decorated in casual eloquence and the large wood dining table is great for getting everyone together. Thank you for sharing it with us!!

TexasLoved Keystone & Red Hawk
Left on 03/21/2013 for a stay in March 2013
I have never been to a more friendly environment. My family enjoyed every encounter thoroughly. The staff at Red Hawk and the entire staff at the Keystone Village were fantastic to be around. The unit was in a perfect location as we just had to walk across the parking lot to get on the gondola. Our balcony view was amazing. We watched skiers morning to night and the fireworks show was in perfect view. The unit is perfect for 4 adults and 5 kids. The elevators were a little slow but we learned our way around and used the stairs at times. The parking garage is under the building so our cars stayed free from snow and there were luggage racks and wagons available at all times for necessary loading. If you need to take a private lesson, you need to ask for Jim Curcio. We were first time skiers and he was an absolute delight to be around. He was a great instructor and made us feel like long time friends!! He had us on the mountain in 3 hours. We enjoyed our stay 100%. I would recommend this unit and Keystone Village. It is a wonderful family atmosphere!

DenverCool place - quirky logistical issues
Left on 01/03/2013 for a stay in December 2012
The condo was great - it had plenty of space and nice amenities for 9 people. It was conveniently located near the Gondola at River Run and the Keystone Village. Two things to consider if you are considering this place as a rental - the check-out time is 10am - meaning that if you plan to ski the last day you have to be packed and out pretty early. If some are skiing and some are not skiing, then the non-skiers need to find another place to go for the last day.
I would also discourage using the recommended ski rental store that comes wiht the discount. It's located away for the resort and may require you to check in - go unload - then have everyone come back to get their equipment. then you have the same issue when you leave, as opposed to just picking up everything right at the resort.
Just my two cents.

San Diego, CABeautiful, convenient and friendly service
Left on 11/29/2012 for a stay in November 2012
We stayed at the Red Hawk Lodge and it was awesome, we could walk to the gondola and village easily. Although there was not a lot of snow yet at Thanksgiving, there were 9 runs open and plenty of fun things to do otherwise. This condo was great, 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, looking directly at the lifts and slopes.

The 3 bedroom condo met our needs. The view was beautiful. The location was close to the gondola which was our criteria since we were there for a wedding.

Enjoyed the condo. Loved the view and convenience to the village. The SkyRun staff were very accommodating and nice. Not having airconditioning took a little getting used to during some of the hotter days. The layout and amount of space was nice. The family room furniture could be improved a bit and some minor wear and tear improved.

KentuckyVery nice condo with dirty floors!
Left on 04/20/2011 for a stay in April 2011
We really liked the unit, although upon arrival the floors had dirt and grit all over the perimeter of the kitchen and living room areas. It looked liked all the dirt had been swept to the side of the rooms and forgotten! We had a sick child with altitude illness or would have called the rental company to come clean it again. Other areas with carpet didn't look like they'd been vacuumed. Otherwise the bathrooms were clean, kitchen counters/ sink clean, unit had games, nice flat screen tv's in all rooms, good proximity to ski school and slopes.

McLean, VAPerfect place to stay for a great trip to Keystone
Left on 03/31/2011 for a stay in March 2011
The condo was great -- thanks for everything. We had all different levels of skiers from a first-timer, to experts, to children. The mountain was amazing for everyone and ski school was great. Condo was lovely and location was ideal -- literally steps to everything we needed. And the little touches (coffee pot, hair dryer, laundry, great bunk beds) were greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Left on 03/23/2011 for a stay in March 2011
The condo was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. It was also convenient to the gondola and town - a very short walk. Even the kids didn't complain. The staff allowed us in early and let us stay as late as possible, plus let us use the card all day to stay in the garage and common areas. It was a great experience.

The unit was a little messy when we got there but overall met our needs nicely. We used the outdoor whirlpools and they were nice as well. Sauna was a little run down and going thru work out area to get to pool was a bit cramped. Location was great - we could easily walk to Gondola or town.

It was a very nice place. We had 9 people and the place was a little small but we made it work. the beds were not so great and the pillows were like they were stuffed with cotton balls (not a good thing). The pull out couch not even worth pulling out. the floor was more comfortable. The place was great for everything except sleeping 9 people.

thank you for your comments, we take them very seriously. we have purchased all new pillows for the next guests. we're also reviewing what to do with the beds. they were replaced just 3 years ago but we know now every bed is comfortable for every guest. we're trying out mattress pads and will turn the mattresses and if they're not comfortable, we'll buy all new ones.
thanks again for your comments. it's a bit tight for 9 or 10 people if they're adults, but keep in mind that this unit is much larger than the average river run 3 bedroom so the only way to get bigger is to go to a 4 bedroom. -

Owensboro, KYPatty Got it Done!
Left on 04/24/2010 for a stay in April 2010
I have to give much of the credit to Patty, my agent. I had looked @ VRBO and had some ideas of what was avilable. As it turns out, a family that we were traveling with from KY had rented a VRBO unit I had some interest in. I can't remember how I came into contact w/ Sky Run, but once I told Patty of what I wanted simular to what I had just missed on VRBO; she took care of me. I ended up having the nicest accomidations of all the families that we were traveling with. Everyone else was in the complex across the street from Red Hawk Lodge. Good job Patty!
