Description from the manager

Great 2 Bedroom in the popular Dakota Lodge. Quiet side of the building. A GREAT upgrade from a 1br for a family of 4-6 for just a litte more. Rent with 8491 and 8496 and 8452 for a group all together! Configure as 2 Kings or 1 King and 2 Twins!

This very nice 2br is in Dakota Lodge, the building in River Run Village with the pool and hot tubs and sauna and has a nice quiet side view of the mountains and the mini-golf/family area on the opposite side of the Snake River valley.

This unit is perfect for a family of 4-6 and features a King bed (relatively rare for River Run) in the master suite.

      Condo needs attention

Left on 03/21/2013 for a stay in March 2013

There were not many 2 bedroom condos with 3 beds (to accommodate 4 adults - 1 couple & 2 singles) available for the 10 nights we were looking for from the 1st of March until the 10th of March 2013, so we were grateful to have found this condo right in River Run village conveniently located to the gondola. The condo however is very run down and needs attention. We have rented in Keystone many times before, as we live in Denver and love skiing and the mountains, however this has to be the most run down place in River Run that we have stayed in over the years. This is a little disappointing especially as we were entertaining my brother and his friend from Europe, who were very exited to experience skiing in Colorado. We paid a relatively high price in the hope for a good standard of accommodation (we actually paid $87 per night less for a condo at "Springs" over the Christmas period). The condo was clean but presents itself poorly with its stained carpets, damaged flooring on the balcony and the holes in the pillows of the couch. A television was missing in the second bedroom although we had been advised for a TV to be in every room. I would recommend a flat screen TV above the electric fireplace to create more space in the condo, as the television cabinet takes up quite some space that can be better used. The ski locker belonging to the condo is broken, which means it can not be locked and ski / snowboard gear can not be stored and needs to be taken up to the condo (I noticed in previous comments on the condo, for this to have been the case for quite a while now). The 2 single beds in the second bedroom are a little short, which made it a little uncomfortable for 2 adult men to sleep in these for 10 nights. A minor detail but more cups in the kitchen would definitely help to not have to run the dishwasher every day when you are staying with 4 people. The facilities in Dakota are good and we used the hot tubs, swimming pool and sauna most of the nights.

Nice place to stay, center if the action

Left on 03/22/2012 for a stay in March 2012

Check in was easy, even at 2 am. Sky Run did a great job. Keystone is definitely a great place to bring the family. There are plenty of things to do and great restaurants and shops, especially in River Run. The accommodations were good with one exception, the beds were terribly firm in this unit-Dakota 8493. So much that by the end of a week, we were more sore from the bed than winter sports. Otherwise, it was a great vacation. I highly recommend Keystone and Sky Run.

      Good location

Left on 02/29/2012 for a stay in February 2012

Place was a good location to get to the lifts. We did have a few setbacks, such as our ski locker not working/locking, so had to lug up gear for myself, my wife and our two kids. Also we were completely locked out the first night we were there, keys stopped working (card key). They did come to let us in, but with the ski lock not working, getting locked out in the same day, it was a tad rough.

      Small But Clean

Left on 04/06/2011 for a stay in March 2011

Our unit was small but it was very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils except for a 9 x 13 baking dish, which I needed. That is a staple in my cabinet at home and I use that size pan nearly daily. Our mattresses were ok but the pillows were horrible. I would expect much better. They are probably the worst pillows Ive had in any of our travels.

      Very roomy

Left on 03/10/2011 for a stay in February 2011

Great location. Lots of room to spread out and move about. One negative was there was not enough bedding, half the pillows did not have pillow cases.

      Wonderful accommodations!

Left on 01/26/2011 for a stay in January 2011

The Dakota Lodge was a wonderful place to stay. It was very clean and well appointed. The furnishings were comfortable and attractive.
The location was very convenient. The Keystone Village and the gondola were a very short walk.
And covered parking in the basement was great.

      6 months later?

Left on 06/17/2009 for a stay in February 2009

Nice unit, nice building, its location to everything is great. The one donwside is the noise in the parking lot, late at night and early in the morning. One night, a bus arrived late and sat outside our window for what seemed forever, running. Just about everynight it snowed, so first thing (5am) in the morning, the snow plows were out. But its not just the sound of the snow plows, its the backing up signal noise(beeping) that is very bothering. Other than that, great place to stay and love SkyRun!
Next year we plan to rent on the mountain side.
