We loved the location, quiet with a gorgeous view. The condo was very close to the pool and hot tub building which we used often during our stay. It is very convenient when skiing at Keystone or a-Basin.

      comfortable

very comfortable condo..the only negative was the fireplace..for some reason the wood would not burn, and it was dry wood. The key would not open the door to the pool house, I called customer service and within 15 minutes they brought me a reprogrammed key. I would absolutely return to this place.

      Super quite and comforatble condo

Left on 12/31/2010 for a stay in December 2010

My two teenage sons and I stayed at this condo and we had a great experience. The condo was well appointed, comfortable, clean, and nicely decorated. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, etc. as we cooked a number of meals. Had to call Sky Run to get wireless key as we could not fine the card with the corretc password, and they were super. My only complaint is with the beds, they are lumpy and uncomfortable and ned to be changed.

      Nice Except for the Mice

Left on 09/29/2010 for a stay in August 2010

Fine place except for the mice. We noticed mice traps set when we arrived. We killed one on the first night. Thinking there might be more we bought more traps and baited them. For 2 weeks none were found. Then another was killed in a trap while Husband was away. Wife was very upset. Manager volunteered to switch us to another unit but wife declined.

The fact that traps were set when we arrived shows that you knew it was infested. You should have had us in another unit from the start.

This was our 4th summer at SkyRun and our second in the Homestead building, but we will not return to the Homestead building if we come back.

Response from SkyRun Vacation Rentals - Keystone - 09/29/2010

      SkyRun Vacation Rentals - Keystone

      Manager

thanks for staying with us all these years over the summer. unfortunately mice and other things that live here outdoors are sometimes a part of being in the mountains. so we try our best (as you noticed with the traps) to agressively get rid of them as soon as they do venture in. we put traps in the cabinets under the sink in most of our units. that way when they have something in them, it's then that we know we have a problem.

sorry that there was one in your trap on your first night with us, but i'm glad that we did offer to move you if you would want to and thanks for helping us get his little friend.

it happens to all units, even on the upper floors in the brand new and multi-story buildings. luckily it is rare since we stay on top of it. this summer with that family of mice in 2031 was the only time in any of our homestead units, so i don't think it's a homestead problem in particular. (we got those 2 total over your month with us and haven't seen any since) but if you find traps in the unit you use next year, it's because we're trying to find the mice before you see them, not because we know there is an infestation.

our philosophy is that without traps, they may be there but you aren't aware, which we think is worse than trapping them.

      Excellent stay

Left on 04/13/2010 for a stay in March 2010

We stayed at 2031 Homestead while attending a scientific conference. The condo was as pictured and the kitchen is very well equipped. What I liked about this place: very comfortable bed, quiet location, easy in/out from parking lot, good (free) wireless internet. There really weren't any negatives (although controlling the temperature in the master bedroom was a challenge - it seemed to stay ON despite adjustments to the thermostat, so it got very warm. But I'd rather have warm than cold!)

This is a one-story condo, so there is no worry about noise from above. The high, sloped ceilings accented by giant rough hewn logs is very appealing. Even though another party had just checked out, the place was immaculate for us.

The entrance door faces an open area (right across from the pool building) but there are numerous trees and it is shielded from the parking (which is on the other side of the pool building - but only a short walk). Even though the Homestead complex is essentially right on the main road, the units are not visible and with all the trees it doesn't feel at all exposed. Out the back of the condo all you see is nature. This is what we were looking for, if you want to be able to walk right out your door to the restaurants & nightlife, then stay in the village. But if you want a peaceful stay with views of nature, this place is great.

This is a delightful fully furnished and equipped single story home for a couple or even a family. Our arrival was handled quickly and easily, and we found it clean, well prepared, relaxing and with a great view. All facilities, such as water, heat, elecity, and wireless internet were superb. The TV was prepared for movies and games. It was quiet and very comfortable, and accessible to main roadways and stores. The architecture was quaint and all landscape was beautiful and well cared for. The property manager was quick to respond to any need. We would return there for a stay in a heartbeat. Very impressive accommodations!
