Left on 01/19/2012 for a stay in December 2011
Well appointed kitchen, comfortable bed, conveniently located 2 minute walk from gondola lift, steps away from food, entertainmnet, outdoor hot tub, 30 seconds to ski school, ski lockers on the first floor. This was perfect for a family ski vacation.

Colorado SpringsGreat stay at Keystone
Left on 12/14/2011 for a stay in December 2011
The room was better than I thought it would be, the pictures do not do it justice. Plenty of space, lighting and a fireplace that is super warm. The only thing I was dissappointed about was the fact that the hot tub was non-operational and that the deal we got on living social.com was simply the discounted rate for anyone who stays there when the hot tub is not working, and we were not informed of this before our two night stay. All in all a great room and place to stay, only 100 yds from the gondola on river run.

St. Paul, MNGreat private weekend away for married couple of four children
Left on 01/21/2011 for a stay in January 2011
We needed a place that was clean and comfortable to rest and relax (and to ski) away from our four children. We wanted to make our own food and feel comfortable enough in the unit to sit back and relax by watching TV, taking a hot tub (public), reading a book, etc. Black Bear Lodge 8071 was just what we had hoped it would be. It was a great rental unit filled with the comforts of home and was clean and bright, making it easy to relax and unwind.

Phila Metro AreaFantastic Setting for our Ski Trip
Left on 12/24/2010 for a stay in December 2010
Location - This unit at Black Bear Lodge is a fantastic location for skiing at Keystone. Everything is so convenient and well positioned. The Lodge entrance is directly across from the ski school. It's a very short walk to the Gondola. The ski lockers are right at the door - all in all little lugging or walking. And, there are many restaurants within a one block walk.
Unit - 8071 is well appointed. The furnishings and carpet are in great condition and seem fairly new. The sofa, chairs and bed are so comfortable. And, the room is well insulated there are no cold spots or drafts as you sit at the window gazing at the mountain view. The free wireless internet worked well throughout the unit.
Management Company - It was a pleasure to work with the Key to the Rockies staff. They were very attentive as we made our reservations and checked in. It is nice to get personalized service, have small talk and get thoughtful recommendations (as opposed to feeling like you are working with an impersonal central reservation service).
We had a great experience and would recommend the unit and management company.Response from Key to the Rockies - 02/12/2011

DenverBeautiful condo, great location
Left on 09/02/2010 for a stay in August 2010
My fiance and I stayed here because we are looking at places for our guests to stay when we get married next summer. This unit was lovely! The ski decor is perfect for out of state guests who will enjoy the rustic (yet very warm and cozy) atmosphere. The location is very convenient, within walking distance to bars and a few breakfast places. In the winter it would be wonderful to be so close to the slopes (and to have underground parking). My only complaint was that the bed was slightly uncomfortable, but it wasn't bad. The service was great!

We have stayed at this exact Condo for several years - comfortable, quiet, & marvelous views.

Denver, COBiggest 1 bedroom you can find!
Left on 04/07/2010 for a stay in April 2010
I found this unit a couple of years ago and have rented it every year. It is
closest to the lift, and has lots and lots of closet space to store all of your ski
stuff! Plus the bathroom is huge, with 2 sinks, difficult to find in the one
bedroom units in River Run. Plus this unit is furnished nicely with many
decorative touches. I have had other units that are bare, it makes a difference. -

Left on 04/01/2010 for a stay in March 2010
The stay at Black Bear was super! What most impressed me--the quiet. I saw people all around but was never disturbed by loud neighbors. That is a compliment because I have often awoken in the middle of the night by loud ski animals coming in from late night party-goers.
The decor also impressed me and the bed was nice. I thought it would be too hard, but I slept like a baby.

Left on 07/29/2009 for a stay in July 2009
The condo was very nice, clean and comfortable.
However, the bed was a full - in a master bedroom!!!
This is hard to believe in this day and age - wish we had been told, we would have picked another unit.
It was also hard to get to cool down - we are used to air conditioning, and the unit was hot until about 2am.
Response from Key to the Rockies - 08/16/2010
Manager
I apologize that you thought you stayed in a property that had a full size bed in the master bedroom. This property has always had a queen bed. The standard size of a queen bed is 60x80 inches and a full bed is 54x80. The difference between the two is very nominal.
If you are ever unhappy with your accommodations please let us know as we would be happy to move you into another accommodation that was more in line with what you wanted.
Unfortunately up here in the mountains it is not very common to have air conditioning. The usual high temperature here in the summer in July is 75 degrees with little to no humidity. It isn’t economical to have air conditioning in a building that only needs it for 1 or 2 months of the year. Key To The Rockies would be happy to bring over fans that might let the cool evening air circulate throughout the property. Just let us know and we would be happy to help.
Thanks for the feedback it is helpful so that we can make your next stay with us even better. Remember that for being a return guest you automatically receive a 20% discount as a member of our Key Club.
Sincerely,
Meredith Long

Denver, COGreat Location!
Left on 01/22/2009 for a stay in January 2009
Pick up was easy, but the directions in the e-mail for late arrival were
incorrect. There was a completely different box at the entrance to key
to the Rockies. It was easier than the directions.
the printed directions to the Black Bear parking garage were wrong.
they had you turn on the first street after the free parking lot and it is
the second street. But we were familiar with the area enough to find
the property.
Loved the location of Black Bear and the ski locker.Response from Key to the Rockies - 08/16/2010
Manager
I have been able to review the directions to the Black Bear complex to make sure they are accurate. Thank you for bring this to our attention.
I apologize that the directions in your confirmation email were incorrect. We have a standard confirmation email that goes out to all our guests that book directly with Key To The Rockies. Sometimes reservations made with a 3rd party have inaccurate directions. We work very closely with these partners to ensure that they have the most up to date information.
I hope after you were able to make it to your property the rest of your stay went smoother! Remember that when you come back to stay in Keystone with Key To The Rockies you automatically get 20% off your entire stay for being a valued member of our Key Club. Thanks again for your feedback!
