Take a trip to the old Colorado in the old miner\'s town of Montezuma. Just 6 miles east of Keystone you and your 4X4 can stay at the beginning of too many great back country roads available for exploring to count!

Three bedrooms and two bathrooms make this a great place for a group to come and play in the mountains!

This Colorado home is uniquely beautiful. Located in the historic mining town of Montezuma, this property truly reflects the history of its surroundings. Huge picture windows and skylights give ample views of the incredible neighboring mountains.

THE BEST FEATURE: Front door access to cross country skiing, back... country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, snowmobiling on the many spectacular trails surrounding this home.

WARNING: In the winter months FOUR WHEEL DRIVE is required to get to this property. Roads are plowed, but it is not guaranteed that you will be able to get up the driveway to the home with only 2 wheel drive. Free parking is available in the Town of Montezuma and it is a short walk to the home itself.

Exposed beams and vaulted ceilings makes this cozy living space as beautiful as it is welcoming. This room features a wood stove and huge pictures windows for breathtaking views of Saints John Mountain range. Enough comfortable seating in this room for the whole group!

Adjacent to the living room is the dining area, which looks out the sliding doors to an expansive deck and, of course, views galore!

This expansive kitchen offers everything needed to prepare the simplest meal or a huge feast. Stainless steel appliances, an espresso maker and ample counters space are a few of the highlights.

A private retreat during your stay at the Montezuma Hideaway. This main floor bedroom offers a Queen bed, plenty of storage and a welcoming, cozy decor. A beautiful stained glass door is the entrance.

This bathroom is beautifully finished with an footed bathtub and beautiful sinks. It is truly a treat to pamper your self in this bathroom.

This cute room is perfect for the kids. It offers a full bed and bunk beds. The kids will love sleeping here!

The third floor offers a beautiful loft and bird's eye view to the living room below. A great room for additional sleeping. Contains a twin bed and plenty of room for air mattresses.

This artfully done bathroom truly shows the craftsmanship of this house. This bath offers beautiful tile and a glass shower.

This romantic bedroom, tucked away from the main loft area, offers the utmost in privacy. The vaulted ceilings and timber framing are elegant features of this lovely room. An inviting down comforter covers the Queen bed.

Finally, tucked away off of the laundry room is a secret little hideaway. This TV and game room has the feel of an old mind shaft. Offering leather furniture and old mining decor, it is a room like no other. You will enjoy the flat screen TV and Nintendo Wii any time of year!Read more

  We had hoped to get back and stay in Montezuma for years. Your house was just the right size for our three generation family and had all the things we needed, although our needs are not particularly refined. We like the proximity to fishing, hiking, and the views and plan to return sometime in the winter so that we can back country ski without getting into a car. The house was clean, the management company responsive to a problem with the water heater, and the staff was always friendly on the phone.

  I organized my sisters bachelorette party weekend to be at the hideaway. The the ladies wanted social dinners, snowshoeing around zuma, extreme sledding, hot tub evenings and sun bathing on the deck when it was 10 degrees out. This was the best bach party any of us have ever been too, and it's all thanks to the house! As a local, I wish I could live there myself, or at least in Zuma. If you're looking for a little secluded, romantic, social friendly place... you'll love it too!
