Large enough for a big family, but kitchen not supplied as well

Left on 08/24/2012 for a stay in June 2012

While the space to spread out with our family of 15 was adequate, we had planned our meals to be prepared at the house. We had to go buy things such as blender, a can opener. There were parts to many appliances, but none were complete. There were not larger pans to prepare meals. We called the office to have the dishwasher repaired. They were very nice, but my son-in-law repaired the dishwasher before help arrived. The location was good but the yard was not kept well. The best part of the stay was having enough space for all of us to stay together. The jacuzzi was very nice. Furniture was worn from use.

Disappointing - Check with Management Company about Hot Water Si

Left on 08/13/2012 for a stay in July 2012

Saw Whiskers 92 turned out to be a disappointment for our group. When we arrived, there was no hot water. A friendly and apologetic repairman arrived very quickly and was able to get things working again. Unfortuantely, the hot water went out again a day or two later. The repairman again arrived soon after it was reported. Additionally, the hot tub did not work and was not functioning properly throughout our trip. For renters considering this location, I recommend verifying that the hot water and hot tub situations have been addressed. Our visit was fortunately in the summer (and not during ski season when the lack of hot water would have been even more of a challenge).

We understand that sometimes things happen but were again disappointed when the management company did not offer an apology or a discount after the hot water went out the second time. It seems reasonable to expect some sort of concessoin given that the unit did not operate as advertised (no functional hot tub) and did not have hot water on two days of our four-day trip.

Positives: For golfers like our group, Saw Whiskers 92 is in a very good location. The two Keystone courses are both close and a few other courses (Breckenridge, Raven) are only a short drive away. The cabin did have plenty of room for our group of four.

Negatives: In addition to the hot water situation, the furniture and appliances were outdated and the unit did not seem very clean. Most of the people in our group also complained about the beds.

Other considerations: It should also be noted that the property is adjacent to a horse barn which did not bother us but may not be pleasant for some due to the smell. Although we did not watch a movie, I don't think this unit has a DVD player if that's an important feature for your group.

I am sorry that there were a few problems with your stay at Saw Whiskers. The boiler and hot tub have been repaired since your stay and should not be an issue moving forward. Our maintenance team was able to respond quickly both times to get the problems resolved but please understand it does take about 5-10 minutes to drive across the Keystone area to the property. The owner of the property is working with an interior decorator to replace the furnishings and bedding so look for new photos and video tour on our website coming soon! We have also recommended adding a dvd player to the owner. Regarding the proximity to the Keystone Stables, we have found that our guests enjoy being so close to this attraction in Keystone and are not bothered by any smells.

We want to make your stay with Summit Cove as easy and problem free as possible and we hope you will give us a chance to earn your business back.

Great experience for a large group.

Left on 03/13/2012 for a stay in February 2012

We had a group of 15 people from out of town and were vary comfortable in the house. There were plenty of beds for everyone and the living spaces were very comfortable. Our main complaint is the lack of access to bathrooms. The floor plan makes it difficult to share the bathrooms since 3 of the 4 are attached to bed rooms. For a house with that many beds it would be nice to have better access to bathrooms. We were also slightly disappointing when we realized that we had to walk almost 1 mile to access the summit stage bus line.

    Lovely setting!

Left on 08/25/2011 for a stay in July 2011

We enjoyed Saw Whiskers #92 very much! The house is incredibly spacious and accommodated my family of 5 plus my parents with room to spare! The location was perfect for us...slightly off the beaten path to give a peaceful setting, but not far from anything. The main activities in Keystone can be reached easily by bike or car. Also, the house is just across from Keystone Stables..my kids enjoyed visiting the horses. Our only complaint was that the family rm furniture was worn and not the most comfortable, but the rest of the house was nicely updated. Will definitely stay there again!

    Great retreat location!

Left on 08/17/2011 for a stay in July 2011

Our moms group rented this house to have our annual planning meeting and the accomadations couldn't have been better! We've already booked the house for next year...
The only problem we had was the garage stopped working and our cars were trapped but they came out right away and fixed it!
    Thanks!

    Plenty of Bedroom space!

Left on 05/06/2011 for a stay in March 2011

We enjoyed our stay. Great room was a pretty room surrounded by windows. Furniture was a little tired. Put a list of items that needed to be tweeked in the house together for the rental company - so your stay should be even better!

    Nice

Left on 09/25/2009 for a stay in July 2009

This is a house we would definately stay at again. It has lots of windows for the wind to come in to keep it cool during the day. If your used to an A/C the only one is in the main master bedroom. My only complaint is that the bottom room that had a twin bed also had no windows for air to come in - only a little fan. It got really hot down there for the two boys that stayed in that room. I wish that they'd add some kind of a/c in that room too.
This is a great house if you like horses - we walked there almost every day to feed them. Even if you like the wildlife, foxes would come up to the back porch at night. You could also go walking up the hillside that is right behind the house - or go further down the roads & walk along the river. Beautiful location & scenery. If we ever go back to Colorado - this is where we will stay again!

    Large Family Ski Trip

Left on 01/09/2009 for a stay in December 2008

This house was more than large enough for 3 families to stay and enjoy meals together in the large dining room and modern, updated kitchen. Great proximity to the Moutain made skiing convenient. Kids loved the bunkroom!
