“We loved the Hanalei area and can't wait to return.” The Kauai Tree House is an exceptional experience. Our family really enjoyed the openness of the house, the wonderful tropical breezes, and the sounds of the birds, the rain, the frogs, etc. The dogs in the kennel - across the river from the house - bark at different times and that can be annoying when you're trying to sleep, but we acclimated to them quickly and hardly noticed them by the time we left. The kitchen is well-stocked, expect that there was no coffee pot. For a group of caffiene fiends, that was a problem. The house is extremely well-located, with easy access to all of the wonderful beaches and hikes in the Hanalei area. We had a wonderful time here and look forward to returning. Please buy a coffee pot by then!

“Perfect House for Family Trip!” My family and I spent seven nights at the house and had a simply amazing time. The house is lovely and spacious. We had all three suites for our group of 12 (which included three children) and felt that we had plenty of room the entire time. The ambience is relaxing and the house is well cared for and well stocked with everything you need for your vacation. And you can't beat the location - just a block and a half to the beach and a few extra blocks to the shops and restaurants Hanalei. We loved every second of our time there and can't wait to go back.

Beautiful Home One Block to Beach Hanalei, Kauai
Beautiful rental with very close beach access

My husband and I stayed in the Plumeria 2 bedroom downstairs unit in this house. We had a wonderful time, and the relaxing environment of Hanalei was infectious! You can easily walk to the beach (just a short stroll down the residential street to a very close beach access). Hanalei is a beautiful, relaxed, quirky town with cute shops and restaurants. I would come back in a heartbeat and stay in this rental. The only drawback was that there wasn't any air conditioning (which seemed pretty common here), but the fans in the house made it manageable. We also had a wetter-than-normal week of weather (which probably didn't help). Marney has everything you need to enjoy your vacation (towls, laundry/supplies, beach chairs, boogie boards (and many other ocean toys), full kitchen & utensils, bug spray/candels, clothes line, patio chairs, etc. We were there while the other units in the house were occupied (seemed to be another downstairs unit and one upstairs unit). We felt like we had plenty of privacy, and the other renters were respectful, and, for the most part, our paths didn't cross. If you are thinking of coming to Kauai, I would highly recommend staying in this rental in Hanalei. It is quite a drive to the south shore, so if you plan to do a lot of sight seeing, It may be wise to split your time between a rental in the north and one in the south so you don't feel like you're spending all of your time in the car. … see more
