Koa Resort is more laid back than some Kihei resorts. We like the convenience of a home-like atmosphere, having a kitchen & laundry. Roomy for 5-6 people. Mostly quiet. Beaches for walking or kids' play across the street. Wonderful pool. Never needed the air conditioning. Furnishings are comfortable & clean. Kitchen is well-stocked with small appliances & cooking equipment. Spent much of my time on the lanai with a book. I make use of the sharing book shelves near the tennis court. We used the outdoor grill most nights. Kids liked the spiral staircase. Very nice new wide-screen TV, for those stay-in evenings. Close to stores & the farmers market. Place was clean when we arrived, never needed to call for any service. Bello Realty has always been a pleasure to deal with. Grounds are beautiful.

We enjoyed our stay. Very relaxing and quiet location. The only recommendations I would make is that the unit is abit outdated and the housecleaning could use improvement. Lots of dust under furniture and dirt in corners of bathroom & kitchen floor area. Overall, we enjoyed your place. Mahalo!

We stayed in this condo the week of 8/14 to 8/21/12. It was furnished with very good taste and clean as can be. The chairs, beds, dining area and couches were very comfortable and the air conditioning unit kept it cool during the hot week we were there. The swimming pool was just beautiful and very refreshing. We barbequed at the grills and had dinner at the picnic tables. The condo was well stocked with items we needed and used. Loved the ice and cold water dispensing refrigerator. This condo was a last minute change for us because the unit we originally rented did not have any air conditioning which we did not realize until we arrived. We definitely feel we made out better in this condo and would most definitely come back. Jason Bello was our contact person. He was absolutely wonderful to work with. Changing the condo upon our arrival and extending checkout time because of a late flight. He was easy to get in touch with and very accommodating to our needs. Thank you Jason!!! You made our stay very comfortable!!! When we're coming to Kihei, Unit 3M at the Koa Resort will be requested for our next stay.

The property was very nice and comfortable
There were a couple of maintenance issues with the shutters in the upstair bedroom not being attached, and a large ant population in the kitchen, bath/bed rooms downstairs, and no front porch light.
Had a rental car so the location was good.
would have liked to have wi-fi in the unit rather than in the common area by office. The pool and hot tub were real nice. -

I was a bit concerned when I arrived late and there was no one at the desk because I had not received a code for the lock. However friends made a call for me and with in minutes I was in!!
The home was great and thank heavens for the air conditioning because the up satairs bed room got extremely warm. The place was very clean and well stocked towels, etc and the beds were comfortable.
We were in an excellent location close to the beaches and restrurants and shops and an easy drive to other parts of the island.
The BBQ was wonderful and the pool was great but the lawn chairs could have uses a good scrubbing. We were a bit concerned about a fine dust that came from the ceiling in the dining area, more for the owners tan for us. It was super having a washer and dryer right in the condo!!
Thank tou so much for sharing your home with us we had a wonderful vacation and look forward to returning.

The condo is very conviently located and has very easy parking. The man in charge of maintaince was extremely helpful when we stated that the air conditioning was not keeping the room comfortable. This is probably not a problem when the weather is a few degrees cooler as august is the one of the hottest months of the year. The swimming pool is very nice especially for very young children as it has a 2 ft area. The tennis court and grilling/eating area were used by our family on a daily basis. The only down side is the airconditioning.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Condo was clean, quiet, comfortable, and spacious. Bello Reality staff were exceptionally polite and accommodating. Convenient central location (have to drive everywhere, but everywhere is in easy driving distance). Gorgeous beaches nearby in south Kihei. Only minor complaint was that the advertised "central" air wasn't central, and didn't cool the entire large condo. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would stay there again.

Left on 01/07/2010 for a stay in December 2009
Likes: kind bed in master, queen upstairs, had everything we needed. Like the grounds and pool.
Dislikes: Only 2 garbage bags not enough. the condo does need to be updated (wallpaper is peeling). The manager/caretaker was unfriendly and seemed to be looking for some reason to "reprimand" us. -

Chehalis, WAVery nice resort, a few maintenance issues
Left on 12/09/2009 for a stay in November 2009
The Koa Resort is a very nice place to stay for the entire family. The two bedroom, two bath condo is a nice size and comfortable for an extended stay. Our rental unit had a few small maintenance issues that should be corrected: window latches, shower head, leaky faucets, etc. Other than that, the property is very nice and the grounds are exceptionally well kept. The pool is well suited for young children with a very large area at a depth of 2 feet. The North side of Kihei is very desirable, avoiding the daily traffic in the central and Southern parts.
Overall, a very nice, quiet resort. -

Left on 07/25/2009 for a stay in February 2008
My husband and I rented apt 3D for 12 years every summer until we moved to AZ in 2003. We bragged about the wonderful place we stayed at (koa Resort). We were in for a shock when we brough some friends with us on our return from Australia and saw the unkept gardens and pool area. I couldn't believe this was the same tranquil place we had spent so many summers. What happened??? Our friends wanted to rent some place in Hawaii but they were not impressed with the upkeep of the gardens and pool area. Weeds everywhere, the putting green was no longer maintained. What happened to the pool area??? I would not suggest this place to any of my friends to rent after this past visit. My husband and I were really sad to see such a lovely place go to seed. Hope you get it back to it's original beauty.
The condo was nice, but the grounds will keep me from coming back!
Thank you

Hi Jayson,
thanks for booking this unit for us. As I wrote in the guest book, this is a very clean unit and well equiped the only down fall for us was the upstairs mattress, it sags towards the middle of the bed which made for an uncomfortable nights rest and couldn't get the tv's to work(no cable line-upstairs) so we couldn't get any use out of it. The grounds and pool were great and clean. Very well maintained. Maybe we will try a different unit when we return next year or i'll check with you if they changed the matress in 3M. Mahalo for everything.

Las VegasPretty rundown
Left on 06/27/2009 for a stay in May 2009
On par or lower in quality than a old Super 8. The price was decent and the location wasn't too bad (no ocean view, however) but the unit is quite rundown, badly in need of renovation---needs new paint, carpets, etc., etc. Also, it was not cleaned well. Even many of the electrical outlets needed to be replaced. As an example, there was a fan in the L.R. that was powered off of an extension cord that ran all the way from the M.Br., past the front door, down the hallway to the L.R.---but the fan switch was broken and only ran on high, which was way to loud. Also, the shower faucet handle fell off while we were there. We found a used towel, apparently from the previous tenant, laying behind the bathroom door on the floor. Also, you definitely need to leave the L.R. A/C on all day long if you want the temperature to be even remotely tolerable in the upstairs and downstairs bedrooms. Finally, the bedrooms were pretty small and cramped. Bottom line: no pride of ownership on this one. That's obvious. Look elsewhere.
