Kamaole Nalu is a building that is in a great location. We have enjoyed staying in 305 many times and do recommend it to freinds. It is clean a neat. I am sure updates are on the horizon as many other units in the buidling have begun to upgrade. The unit has everythign you need and is quite comfortable. We enjoy that you can stay on the Lanai and enjoy the views of the Beach and sunsets. Not much negative to say unless you want to get picky. I think this unit and the building is a great value.

Kamaole Nalu was the perfect Hawaiian getaway. We brought our two girls (4 yrs and 20 months) and it was a family friendly property with all amenities close by. The grounds were well maintained and the rooms were clean and the views were absolutely breath taking. Hearing the waves crashing every night was the perfect way to fall asleep. Kamaole Beach II was just right for the girls. Just enough waves, shallow, warm waters and soft, white sand! I have no complaints what so ever about my experience at Kamaole Nalu or with ali'i Resorts. I would highly recommend both!

Seattle, WAA nearly perfect vacation
Left on 03/07/2012 for a stay in February 2012
My only disappointments this year were with the cleaning service:
team just beginning cleaning process at our 3:30 arrival.
several dirty scatter rugs should have been removed.
stains on table lamp shade and draw drapes near kitchen.

Woodstock, GAExcellent location

After having stayed four days in 205, we were a little disappointed. The drapes in 305 either need to come out or be cleaned. They're beyond dirty. Everything else was clean if a little dated. The beds were clean and very comfortable, so much about the curtains was forgiven. The location was excellent. We would not have enjoyed Maui very much had we not found this perfect location. We thoroughly enjoyed out time at Kamaole Nula and are recommending it to anyone we know who is going to Hawaii. The value was a little steep, given that it was the same as the renovated and clean 205 beneath it. Service was great in both rooms. 305's lanai was difficult for four people to use because of the too-big chairs. Other than those things, this was a perfect vacation place. Loved the laundry in the units, kitchens were fully ready to use. Both units had an icemaker and dishwasher.
All the rates below would have been excellent, except for the curtains in 305 and the huge chairs in 205. -

SeattleGreat two weeks of beach and golf
Left on 02/01/2012 for a stay in January 2012
Unit was in relatively good condition, very clean.
Light diffusers in kitchen were cracked, one actually fell down while we were there.
Parking is a mess. Nearly all spots are labeled "compact" but none of the rentals are compacts to space is tight. Also there are 36 units but, my count, only 34 parking places and this includes the two loading zone parking and two handicap spots,
Grounds were tidy but some of the planting were drying up due to lack of water. -

The Location of this condo is exactly what I had wanted. I was disappointed in the kitchen, bathrooms as they were very outdated. Doors, showers were not very clean. The ease of walking on to the beach worked really well for us as we had a small child.

these condos are in the perfect location. stores, restaurants, and the dive shop are right across the street. downstairs they have a nice pool, the lawn has lots of lounge chairs, and the beach is right there with some snorkeling area, yay! the view was beautiful and the deck was perfect.
in the condo they had pretty much everything you would need; beach towels, blender, nice dishes and pans and other kitchen essentials, a dishwasher, icemaker and garbage disposal, mini cooler to take outside, cable tv, little beach chairs, even some soy sauce and various things like that.
we had such a great time there, so much better than a hotel when you think about the cost and convenience. we stopped at costco on the way from the airport and stocked up, we had everything we needed!!
