CalgaryMaalaea Surf: Unit F-6
Left on 04/11/2012 for a stay in March 2012
Yikes. The location is amazing, but the unit is very poor. Major issues with this unit:
-S. Kihei road sounds like it is running through the middle of the unit
-poorly maintained: circa 1980's with original grime throughout
-broken bed frame in main floor bedroom
-loft bathroom tub drain is permanently clogged
-needs new beds and pillows if you want to walk upright again
-for $400.00/night, it needs to be overhauled and at least 1 cleaning of the bathrooms should be included in a ten day stay -

Troutdale, OregonUncomfortable because of uncleanliness
Left on 03/24/2011 for a stay in December 2010
The check in was on time but after we got in the room we noticed that it had not been cleaned very well, if at all. There was dust everywhere, food under the beds and couches. There was blood stain onm one bedspread. Our daughter(23) went to kmart and bought sheets to sleep in.We told management and housekeeping and when they cleaned again the same food was under the furniture still. So we thought we'll just wait til we get home and call the realestate agent since this condo was for sale. The weather was great and had a great time, just don't know if we would stay there again.

Alamogordo, NMCondo not worth the money - sorry!
Left on 03/16/2011 for a stay in March 2011
The positive thing to say is that the view from the balcony was beautiful and the cut of this 2 story 2 bedroom condo was quite nice. The surroundings of the condo complex were very nice and maintained in a lovely manner.
However, the interior of the condo seemed all pretty old, even lived down a bit, e.g. the matresses of the beds were horrible without any exaggeration (simple, old and not very comfortable), which is why my wife and I did not have a good rest at night. A big problem were these tiny little ants crawling around like everywhere in the kitchen in the search for any crumbs or food leftovers, so we had to seal and hide all our supplys. The management offered to send the pest control, but would you really wanna dine and sleep in a freshly sprayed room??? The beach in front of the appartement complex was very small (thin) and not very pretty at all, so we drove like 30 minutes every day to get to Kanapaali beach, which is a great place. A good thing to mention is that the place is only 7 minutes by car from Ma'alea harbor, where the snorkel and whale watching tours start every morning at like around 7 o'clock.
Overall we thought Maui is beautiful, the accomodation was only average according to our taste. -

We very much enjoyed the Maalaea Surf facility and location. We rented two separate units and both were excellent. We hope to come back again in the near future.
