You will be located in Kihei near all Maui has to offer, fine restaurants, the finer shopping centers, scenic overlooks, the Maui Ocean Center, Old Town Wailuku, 'Up-country" and the best beaches in the world for any water sport! Enjoy this desirable vacation spot whether you want to just relax or get out to experience more. Kauhale Makai has a full time concierge in the lobby offering special rates for any Maui activity!

Whale watch from our lanai (seasonal), see sunset skies from a 2nd floor, ocean view lanai (balcony), or giant sliding glass doors from our dining table, above tropical gardens (not parking). Enjoy the new tropical car...ved wood bedroom suite with a Cal King pillow-top mattress. Freshen up between adventures in our enlarged, renovated, bathroom with custom, walk in, multi-shower and counter height, 4' vanity with elbow room to share the whole bathroom. Beach chairs, beach mats, beach towels and a large picnic cooler are provided. There is a full kitchen, renovated for open space with an island breakfast counter. Oh, FREE broadband WiFi too.

Outside you are literally steps from the beach, for long walks or a short one to an ocean front restaurant two buildings up. About a mile away are, Safeway and Times Supermarket, Longs Drug, Blockbuster, franchise and many local restaurants, as well as a post office. Franchise restaurants include L&L;, Outback, Starbucks, Jamba Juice, Subway, Round Table and McDonald's.

The property is located near Waipuilani Beach Park, North of Azeka Center, offering ocean, Haleakala volcano and tropical garden views. The property offers central air conditioning, a nice gated pool area with a spa/hot tub, and children's wading pool. There are gas grills, putting green, shuffle board, and an air conditioned, party room with a fridge, studio upright piano, separate men's and women's bathrooms and saunas.

Kauhale Makai is an oceanfront property located in North Kihei offering ocean, mountain and garden views. The beach fronting the property is excellent for watching sunsets and is popular with kite and windsurfers. Whale watching is enjoyed in the winter months. Kauhale Makai is a quiet family oriented property that offers central air conditioning, a nice pool area with a hot tub & children's wading pool, gas grills, saunas, putting green, shuffle board, laundry facilities and assigned parking.

A few minutes away are Kihei's shopping centers, including the post office. Safeway is a five minute drive from the condo. Kihei is centrally located to everything Maui has to offer including some of the best beaches in the world. Kihei also has plenty of fine restaurants, grocery stores, shopping complexes and other sightseeing spots, plus all the water sports you can imagine! Maui offers numerous opportunities for you, whether you want less to do or more to experience.

  The upgrades to the apartment look really nice. We liked the beach for an early morning undisturbed walk, then it was only 2 miles in our rented car to get to the main swimming beaches for the rest of the day. The location is convenient to get to any other parts of the island to enjoy the various features of Maui.
  We would come back to the same place for sure.
  No disturbances, no annoyances, everything worked great.

  Great location and awesome views. You can watch the sunset and see the ocean from the lanai. Good food close by too. Everything you need is there!

  Clean, nicely updated condo on second floor overlooking the pool and could see out to the ocean. Nice grass lawn to cross to get over dunes onto the beach. Swimmable but seemed to be more for kite surfing and windsurfing, especially in afternoons when gets really windy. Close to local grocery stores--about 20 minute walk/ 10 minute bike ride, right on the bus route. We only rented a car for 2 days to do the Hana tour and North Maui tour. Took bus or biked to great beaches in south kihei and wailea; also bussed all the way up to Napaali; rented snorkel equipment at Scuba Shack/Snorkel Bob across from Kam Beach 1-2, great prices/great equipment.
  Condo quiet most of the time, some door slamming but only for one night really. Rental very easy process and Cherry very accomodating, no problems whatsoever. It's not right on the true swimming beaches but if you don't mind biking/bus/car you can get there fast and see some things on the way. Great price, quiet and great value.

  Jane is correct, most afternoons bring cool winds off the ocean blowing onto the property until night and you may see kite surfing or windsurfing on stronger days.
