Maui Sunset is a fabulous oceanfront property in Kihei with lush tropical landscaping, a large pool, hot tub, gas grills, work out room and tennis courts out on the beach for your use. Guests return here year after year which says a lot about this property. Windsurf, whale watch, walk the beach and enjoy magnificent sunsets.
Unit A122 is directly on the oceanfront. This front row ground floor newly remodeled unit has 3 bedrooms with gorgeous Tommy Bahama linens and 3 full bathrooms. The amenities at this condo are fantastic and the location is good for activities on both east and west Maui. Very roomy for our group of four adults and three kids. Floors appeared clean but were very dirty! Bottoms of our bare feet were absolutely black in minutes.

We were a family of 4 adults and two little kids. The unit was perfectly located for the kids to play outside and a short stroll to the beach. Walking distance to stores added to the convenience. We plan on returning next year to do it all again.

We rented a three bedroom unit for our family. The unit was in excellent condition with a great location. Two tennis courts were very close on the ocean and this would be heaven for tennis players.the pool area was very clean. The lawn is amazing you have to walk on it to believe.

Overall a wonderful location. The AC in the master bedroom did not work so well as it vents into a small enclosed aptioo which got extremely hot. The condo itself was great; wonderful views, clean and well maintained. I would consider renting again in the future.

The only negative thing was the floors were pretty dirty. If you were barefoot your feet were very dirty. Also during the night the freezer leaked water so a big puddle was on the floor in the morning. I guess the maintenance people knew before we checked in so that should have been fixed. We were disappointed the pool was closed for 3 days while they did maintenance. Other than that we enjoyed our stay very much and would come back to Maui Sunset.

This condo was perfect for a family holiday - lots of room and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Beds were comfy, and we had plenty of linen and towels. It's right on the beach, has a huge lawn for the children to play on, and the swimming pool was enjoyed by everyone. We took photos from our lanai of the sunset every night during our two-week stay. Kihei is a fun place. Keawakapu Beach was secluded and shady. We toured the north coast, Lahaina area, Maui Plantation, Hana - we survived the trip to Hana - it was great. Also took in a luau at the Marriott Resort which we highly recommend. The staff at Maui Sunset was friendly and helpful in booking tours or for general information about Maui. This is a lovely resort for R & R or getting out and about in Kihei - the location was super!

Very nice place to vacation with extended family, grandparents, kids, grandkids. Ground floor, walk out to grass that is so nice one of the kids thought it must be astro turf. Just like a big putting green. 3 bedroom, 3 bathrooms, worked out great for 3 families. Well furnished, and very comfortable. Wireless internet worked out well with all the computer nerds staying there. Only two very minor complaints or maybe suggestions. Could use some newer pots and pans, and maybe a feather pillow or two. I have a bad neck and had a hard time with the pillows. Overall, I would highly recommend this condo for a great family vacation.

This ground floor unit was perfect for our family; some of who were staying elsewhere. The size of the unit was perfect for fitting 12 people in for dinners and for sleeping 6. The barbeques and tennis courts were well used.

The condo generally was very nice. However, just a few negatives kept us from rating this a 5-star stay. Signs requested no shoes inside (which we prefer) but we found our socks and feet were filthy. Mattress protectors in some rooms & pillows are in serious need of replacement. The large fans were great except that the ones in master bedroom and bedroom #3 did not reverse and were set on updraft rather than downdraft. The A/C triggered allergies (guessing that filters required cleaning) so two bedrooms were uncomfortably warm. We were disappointed that internet connection was not available at the rental rate paid, however, we understand that as of Dec 1/11 internet access will be available to all units at Maui Sunset.
Having said all that though....we really did have a great time on Maui and in the condo. The recent upgrades are tastefully done and very convenient. The view from the lanai is spectacular. Any assistance we requested from the rental agency was handled efficently and satisfactorily (except for fan problems but understood that the fans are a new addition and likely still under warranty).
