We could not have had a more beautiful location. Ground floor walk out to pool and ocean. The whale watching was absolutely wonderful. I do have some concerns about the actual unit we rented; it was not maintained by owner. Needs a total make over. Also the kitchen was lacking in pots and pans, utensils, broiler pan, the washer doesn't work properly. the lanai only had three chairs for four people. It could use some tender loving care.

Ww stayed at the Royal Mauian, unit 116. We were greeted graciously, thank you. We had asked for an outdoor table so that we could dine al fresco...well we got the table but no dining chairs, so every time we ate on the patio we had to drag out the inside chairs or pillows from the sofa...the sofa! so low to the ground we almost had to get down on our hands and knees to get out of it. We had also asked for a king sized bed but did not get that so we were forced to sleep in separate bedrooms not good!!!

This unit was very poorly kept. Tired and run down. It was advertised as updated. Paint and blinds do not mean updated. The kitcen and bathrooms need a complet renovation. This unit was infested with a variety of bugs it is certainly not a unit for a young family.

We had a professional pest control company inspect and treat the condo and were notified that the issue was likely caused by nearby construction. Had a great time at the Royal Mauian. Never did meet a represenitve from ali'i, but they were very helpful over the phone and everthing worked just like they said it would. I would rent agian and agian. The Rroyal Mauian was a wounderful place to stay and close to everything. The only reasaon I did not give my stay 5 stars is the condo is very clean but worn, that's it. I and my family enjoyed the time we spent in Maui

With a few upgraded exceptions, the unit was comfortably basic in its ammenities. It lacked a dining table and chairs on the lanai. We had to ask for a TV for the bedroom, but the maintenance/service people were wonderful in hooking up a set for us almost immediately. The location was great, but the front bedroom does get traffic noise from S. Kihei Rd.
