Nice apartment, equipped with everything you need, large living room with TV and wifi internet access. It is much better and much more comfortable to stay in an appartment like this than in a small hotel room. In the backyard you can use everything for free, the grill, pools etc.
The beach is just accross the road, supermarket, restaurants are 5 min walk. -

Our family's first trip to Maui. We were concerned about vehicle noise on S. Kihei Rd when we were researching the trip, but pleased to say it was not an issue at all at Maui Vista. Bldg 2 & 3 are set in far enough that you can't even see the road. However it is an easy walk to beach...cross the main road and 1 block down a quiet street. Charlie Young Beach is great there...nice sandy bottom. Didnt find it too busy despite being in the heart of Kihei
The unit was just fine. Not super modern luxury, but definitely clean with all the basic amenities you expect. The staff were very good and welcoming. We had an early arrival flight and were very appreciative that the cleaning staff allowed us to put our bags in the unit for a few hours and go to beach while they finished their job...definitely not the case in all rental units.
We had kids and it worked out fine to have them in the pull-out sofa. This unit looks onto a nice green space. Having the car was a real bonus. We did not want to rent a car for a week as we mostly do beach...however having a small car that did the job enabled us to explore more than we would have. -

Maui Condo and Car is a friendly and family-like company . I only had a few questions and they answered them promptly.
When we arrived it was well before check in time but we were able to drop our bags in the unit and grab our swimsuits and towels and head out to the beach to "wait out" the remaining time...it wasn't hard ;) The cleaners were there, a very friendly couple who gave us info and directions and were just welcoming and nice...family feel! We were also able to grab the keys for the little Neon that comes with this unit, very handy.
Here is how our stay exceeded our expectations:
1-It was quiet, even though we were there during the busy spring break time...there was no noise from above, from other decks or loud music...there seems to be a respect for the quiet times.
2-the location was perfect, second building is quiet,but not a far walk to the road to the beach (great beach!!)
3-The sheets...didn't think it would be a big deal, but the 700 thread count sheets are a real treat and we thought they were so soft and nice and then confirmed what a treat they were when we moved to another property and had sheets that felt like shower curtains :)
4-The set up was great for our family with 3 kids, our older 2 shared the pull out and for our smallest, there was a chair matress about the size of a crib mattress that we put on the floor for her...it was perfect!
5-A well stocked closet of umbrella, sand toys, chairs, cooler and cooler bag, ice packs in the freezer even.
6-The value...great deal with the car...We liked that the little car was not in mint condition...as in the seats were all salt stained from wet butts and that made it feel like a beach car we could take from a to b and not worry about it being a precious gem ;) and..we didn't have to wait ina long rental car lineup at the airport to get it...it was just there!!
