Good walking, windsurfing, kitesurfing beach fronts this oceanfront condo complex in North Kihei. A couple of minutes away from Kamaole Beach I, one of the great beaches on the sunny South shore. We stayed here with our 3 adult children and our son in law - so 6 adults in all. Very spacious and the 3 bathroom situation worked extremely well with the number of adults. The property itself is beautiful and we do like the Kihei location as it is more central if you are planning to see a lot of sites around the island. This particular unit is right on the end of the building so the view is spectacular. Nice large lanai where we could all sit and eat or watch the sunsets. There is an activity desk at the pool where you can sign out bocce ball, putting clubs for the putting green, and shuffle board. You can also rent stand up paddle boards. The kids had fun one morning doing that! Tracy (at the activity desk) not an overly friendly type.
There is a public beach right beside the property so the road that runs beside this side of the building has a bit of traffic - didn't find it to be too bothersome. Always a group of locals camped close to this end of the building!
The unit itself was clean. It has had a partial renovation done - not sure why they didn't remove the carpet in the main living area! Queen bed in master very comfortable, twin beds got a so-so rating and the pull out sofa was rated as not too comfortable. Fans in all the rooms and a/C. Some very ratty furniture on the lanai(as well as left over items from the renovation!)
There were some coco mats, boogie boards, pail/shovel sets to use. Have stayed in many condos and found it interesting that only 1 single use laundry soap was provided especially when they ask you to do a load of towels before you leave. This is an item that has been provided in "Costco" size at other rentals. Kitchen fairly well equipped but only one tea towel in the whole place! Some items I would classify as needing replacing. No hair dryer. Apartment size washer and dryer very handy! Free access to wi-fi.
Honestly, we don't spend much time in our rooms when we vacation. I think this was very good value for the price. Don't expect fancy because it is not - older building, but unit clean, affordable, excellent location and totally suited our needs. -
