Listen to the pounding surf! One bedroom, Penthouse unit, full-on-OCEAN-VIEW beach front. This unit is on the ocean side with great cross-breezes and fantastic surrounding ocean views. This unit was hand-picked for its exceptional views by the wife of Sugar Beach resort's developer. New Tommy Bahama bedroom furniture with Cal King Ultra Pillow top mattress, 600 thread count sheets and bedding, plush bath towels, new 47 inch HD LED TV in living room and new sofa sleeper couch with a 7” mattress. Kitchen has been recently re-stocked with new rice cooker, cookware, utensils, dishes, glasses, etc. Unit includes large sized stackable washer and dryer. Central A/C, fantastic Ocean and beach views down the coast of south Maui. Free hi-speed internet, Free parking and Free long distance to all of North America and Canada.
We supply our renters with some of the essentials that are costly to travel with or purchase in Hawaii. Bath items provided by us are laundry soap, shampoo and conditioner, hand soap, a bar of dove soap, blow drier, first aid kit, and 6 rolls of toilet paper. In the kitchen we stock spices, foil, plastic wrap, zip lock bags, trash bags, and dish soap among others. We provide vases for those beautiful Hawaiian flowers purchased roadside. A cooler, Beach towels and beach chairs are available for your use. We try to make your stay as easy, convenient and comfortable as possible.
The view across the ocean and down the south Maui coast is phenomenal. Sunsets are just amazing. Watch the water change from blue to pink even while you are cooking. It fills the room.
Sugar Beach is in an ideal spot. It is centrally located in the middle of Maui allowing for equal drive times to Wailea in south Maui or Lahaina in west Maui. It is the perfect location for somebody who wants to be on the water but wants to see all of Maui. Rest, Relax and enjoy Sugar Beach or wake up and head off to Hana or Haleakala National Park, the quaint town of Lahaina, or the Nakalele Blow Hole. You can see all of Maui with Sugar Beach as your starting point.
Sugar Beach Resort consists of two buildings, the Mill Building and Plantation Building. Sugar Beach #PH19 is located in the Mill Building. All condos are privately owned although there is a check in office on property with a receptionist for your convenience.
Dina's Sandwich Shoppe is located on the grounds and is a great excuse to not cook. There is a gift shop, a Massage Therapist on site and Concierge/Activities Desk, as well.
We are located at the North end of Kihei on 5 miles of white sandy beach. Sugar Beach Resort is located at the base of the West Maui Mountains, right on the shore of beautiful Maalaea Bay. The resort is somewhat secluded, situated in between Kihei and the village of Maalaea. The location of the resort provides a perfect balance, offering oceanfront activities and atmosphere, as well as stunning views of both Haleakala and the West Maui Mountains.
The grounds are beautifully landscaped with a pool, Jacuzzi, dry sauna, putting green and gas BBQ's.
The Sugar Beach Resort grounds occupy about 3 acres of oceanfront real-estate in the middle of a long crescent of sandy beach on Maui's south shore. #PH19 has an ocean front view, with stunning vistas of the Pacific Ocean sunsets every evening.

Response from the owner We are sorry that your expectations were not met. It seems that maybe Maui is not your cup of tea and hope your future travels find a more favorable destination. We have had more then 50 reviews on 3 sites and never had anything less then 5 stars. The trade winds in Hawaii are strong at times but without them the weather would not be perfect. The winds are what keeps the temperature so mild all year. Hawaii shares the same general latitude of 20�N with the Sahara Desert and Depending on the time a year the winds are more prevalent then others. Then again mother nature has a mind of her own. Hawaii is filled with traditions and these traditions is what keeps Hawaii so different from the rest of the world. They do still burn Sugar Cane several times a year and when they do we all have to take a few minutes and wipe down the Lanai's. In regards to your comment about the sunset I am unsure how to even reply ? The sun sets in the west every place I have ever been. In June the sun will set just off of McGregor Point and in winter directly over Lanai Island ? I think our pictures show the beautiful Maui sunsets. The condo is a 1 bedroom condo and like 99% of all 1 bedroom condo's it has 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. It is 700 square feet and was never offered as anything bigger. Its very comfortable for 2 people and tight with 4. They are very few 2 bedroom ocean front condo's for rent and surly not anywhere near this pricing. The beach along Sugar beach is 6 miles of sand and because its not rock and lava protected the shore does have a sandy beach break like other sandy beaches. However if you swim out about 20 feet it clears up and the water is just like other beaches in Maui. We appreciate you staying and again wish you happier travels in the future. We are very grateful for you noticing and mentioning all our amenities and fully stocked condo as we have gone to great length's to provide a better experience then others have to offer. The resort at Sugar Beach is beautifully maintained and offers first class elevators, pool, hot tub and grassy areas to relax at the beach. They also have activities center, equipment rental center and sandwich shop.
