This was our first time to Hawaii and we had a fantastic time. Thank you Maui Rental Group for making this an easy, streamlined experience. The rental property was very well maintained and clean. We enjoyed the sunset from our balcony. Our only issue was having to use a key to not only enter the pool area but to exit as well. This was not efficient especially if two people shared the key and one wanted to leave prior to the other, which left you locked into the pool area. We feel that could be a hazard and risk.
All in all we truly enjoyed our stay and will certainly contact the Maui Rental Group once again upon our return to Hawaii. -

We just returned from a family vacation in Kihei. We rented 4 condos at Village by the Sea and we were pleasantly surprised by the
location. Very close to all the ammenities, groceries, drugstore, restaurants and even a gym. We could walk to and from without any difficulties. The unit was very clean well equipped with everything you would need, a bonus being free phone service to anywhere in the USa and can. The view from the Lanai in the evening was spectacular. Nothing beats a Hawaiin sunset. The grounds were well maintained and we took advantage of the gas barbeques that were also
well maintained. After a day of tours and sighseeing it was especially nice to relax at the pool and just enjoy the sun. The only drawback was the wind that usually came up around noon but we were mostly out and about at that time of day, so we weren't affected. -

We stayed here for a week and enjoyed the peacefulness of this condo. A short walk to the beach, close to shopping, church and the post office. We would definitely come back here again.

We were thrilled from the moment we arrived. Check n was easy and no disappointments. Everything described was exactly as stated. The unit was clean, had a lovely decor, beautiful view and well stocked with all we would ever need.
The building was quiet. Even though the laundry was outside the unit, it was always available, very clean and conveniently located.
The location was convenient to shopping and restaurants. Assigned parking was also a plus.
We loved 606 and will definitely return. -

We stayed at Unit #606 for 10 days. It was perfect. They had thought of everything for a perfect stay in this beautiful Condo unit. It was spotless, the bed was comfortable and they had everything we need. From the ice in the fridge to the hair dryer in the bathroom, to the amazing sunset view. It was even better than on the pictures we saw on the internet. We would definitely rent the same Condo unit again, or recommend it to anyone. It's a short walk to the beach, and the sunset view is absolutely stunning. It's also super close from the grocery store, even McDonald!
While we were in Maui, the best activiy we had was the Rafting with Captain Steve. This is a must. We saw Turtles, Dolphins and Whales on the same day. We're a young couple without kids and as much as we love kids, sometimes the snorkling trips, especially the ones going to Molokini are more familial. Rafting with Captain Steve is a 500 hp boat. It was fast, only 15-20 people on the boat and the crowd was really cool!!!
A Luau Hawaiian Party is a must as well. Best Restaurant ever: Five Palms, also in Kehei. Romantic, good fish, and affordable!

The condo was wonderful! We always enjoyed coming "home" each day after our island adventures. We used the grill area every night for dinner, which was great. Would have loved a better bed and a ceiling fan, overall very enjoyable!

Thanks for making our rental home your "home". We are glad you had a great stay. We added a delux, hotel quality, queen bed to our condo in 2009 so that you can enjoy the oceanviews from the bedroom. Also added new, flat screen TV's, and free wireless internet in 2010. Hope you can come visit again.

#606 is a beautiful unit, fully eqipped kitchen, comfortable bed, tasteful decor & beautiful view. I think the pool area furniture needs to be updated as its fairly worn and uncomfortable. I can't wait to return someday and will definately recommend to friends traveling to the Kihei area.

#606 Village in the Sea is a nice gem! It was clean, convenient location and had all the amenities we needed (hubby forgot shaving cream, and there was one there for us to use!). We would definitely stay here again!

I have stayed at Kauhale Makai on three separate occasions and all the apartments have met my expectations. The location is good for touring any of Maui and I will rent at this location the next time I visit Mauiu.

We had an excellent getaway to Maui and #606 contributed significantly. Clean, plenty of space, comfortable bed, great views, fully equipped kithcen, lanai with chairs, and little things like a beach chair, cooler, and beach towels. We explored the island constantly, but definitely appreciated our return each night to relax and gear up for the next big adventure. Extremely pleased with this unit and would definitely recommend.

Apt. We thought we were to overlook pool & garden areas but location was on wrong side of building, no sun, no sunsets, looked at parking lot and vacant land and some ocean. Lanai, cold, windy, no sun, no table/chairs to eat out. No internet included, no insuite laundry. Prefer Kamaloe which is more walkable area, good beaches, restaurants, shops etc.

Our apologies, we have brought your suggestions regarding more lanai furniture to the owner's attention and they agree it is a good idea to get more!! Thank you. Yes this is an oceanview unit on the cooler north side of the property but it has a fabulous view! There is high speed internet available for purchase and the laundry room is on the same floor. And yes the Kamaole beaches are very nice swimming and snorkeling beaches. Mahalo for your thoughts.

We recently stayed at the Kauhale Makai which in itself, the unit was fine. It was updated and nice and had a good view of the ocean. Unfortunately, the management company had given us the wrong key code and we were locked out for several hours and unable to go anywhere when we DID get let in because no one could tell us the code. We had to figure it out on our own (they transposed two numbers) Good thing too, because no one answered any of the "emergency" lines. Also, our toilet made a squealing noise every time you flushed it. To me it was like someone beaming aboard the starship enterprise, to my husband it was a moped doing a burn out in a parking garage, either way, very distracting and annoying. Finally, this unit is in a very LOUD part of Maui. There are lots of street noises and one day we were awakened at FOUR AM by a car horn that just blared without stopping for several minutes. I won't be going there again, no matter how nice the unit itself was.
