Sea La Vie! has everything you could possibly need for a perfect week away from it all. The kitchen is stocked with everything you'd need. It is close to restaurants and shopping. The underground parking is great, with shopping carts which make transporting all your stuff upstairs a breeze. We've stayed at other places boasting an "ocean view" and while you can see the ocean, you can't see the beach. Sea La Vie has gorgeous beach views. The covered deck, with its comfortable tall chairs, is perfect for those of us who want to enjoy the ocean breeze, but do not want to sit directly in the sun. I strongly recommend taking advantage of Club Seaside. We especially enjoyed the Wild Horse Tour with Corolla Outback adventures. Be sure to ask for Edna, she is simply the best guide there is. She is not only knowledgeable of the horses and the area, but her passion and enthusiasm are contagious. There are not enough words to describe what a wonderful, relaxing week we had at Sea La Vie.

We had the greatest time in Kill Devil Hills and Sea La Vie. The views are amazing and the condo is so comfortable...especially the big cozy chair. The condo had everything we needed from toilet paper to dishes. We totally overpacked.
Everyone at Seaside Vacations were very friendly and helpful. We could not have asked for more.
The OBX are amazing. We had fun visiting the dunes, the aquarium, the Wright Brothers Memorial and we will never forget fishing off Jeanette's pier.Response from Seaside Vacations* - 10/07/2012

As you can see, it has been awhile since we were at Sea La Vie, but I was looking for another date to return and was shocked to see a bad review (which was the only bad review by the way, which should tell you something), so I just had to write. I have traveled extensively, inside the country and out, staying in a myriad of accommodations, and this condo still has to be my very favorite. I still talk about it to this day. I know some people go solely by reviews, and I just want to say please pay attention to all the other glowing reviews because this place is amazing. Perhaps it was a mistake and the review was for another condo, because it definitely did not seem to be talking about the place we stayed! Sea La Vie was spotless, so to say the windows hadn't been cleaned in years is simply not true. To say the decor is "hideous" is absolutely ridiculous. Look at other reviewer's comments on decor - it is beautiful, not at all "cutesy" or too beachy like some condos tend to lean towards, just beautiful designer colors, happy, comfortable and very tasteful. You could not ask for a better covered balcony to sit day and night and watch the surf, with lots of different types of furniture, depending on how you wish to relax. The views are amazing. Love the layout of the bedrooms (the master bedroom en suite is huge!), and having a full size laundry room. The kitchen was large, open, and had absolutely everything needed to make yourself feel at home. I honestly don't understand what you could possibly find disappointing...except having to leave! We had an absolutely wonderful, relaxing stay and cannot wait to come back! Now back to that availability calendar...! :)

Our family of 4 stayed at Sea La Vie June 24, 2012. We chose this spot because we wanted to be located right on the beach and it was spectacular. We could walk out on the balcony and hear the ocean and watch the dolphins in the morning. It was so easy to get on the beach and come back in for a break when needed. The bedrooms and living room space were nicely decorated and extremely comfortable. Parking in the garage was a bonus and the elevators made check in and check out so easy. We will definitely consider staying here again on our next trip to the Outer Banks!

The only redeeming value of this property is the view and the access to the beach. However, the view was obliterated because the windows had not been washed in years. Many items were not in the best of working order and the electrical switches were absolutely beyond comprehension. The condo was hideously decorated, even for a beach property. For the price paid, one would have expected much better. I could not recommend this property to anyone.

We have been coming to the Outer Banks for several years and Sea La Vie, by far, has been the nicest rental we've had. The unit is
spacious and nicely appointed. Of particular note (and very useful) are the notes and documentation the owners have provided for the various appliances, light switches ,etc. Certainly helps eliminate fumbling around trying to figure out what switch works what or how the remote operates the TV or DVD player.

The condo was excellent. We were very pleased with the decor and the comfort of our stay. We had to phone Seaside Vacations while we were there because the condo above us was leaking into our condo and they were very attentive and expedient in taking care of the problem even though they were not the property managers of the condo up above us. I would definitely stay there again!

I cannot tell you how much we enjoyed staying in your condo last summer. It topped all the trips since we have been doing the small condo thing in recent years. This year I decided that we needed an elevator (my husband is 83, I am 72 and the flights up the stairs are just too much). We like an upper level with a good view of the ocean (I spend most of my condo time on the deck or where I can see the water).
I am a realtor in the Richmond area and have leaned the value of photos when selling a home. That developed into my search for a condo at the beach each summer. I want to see the water clearly, be right on the ocean and I want the Master bedroom open to the waterfront. The photos of your place jumped out at me immediately! What fun decor! Loved it! When we got there all I could say was "you won't believe this place!" as my husband was doing the luggage thing. The colors make you happy the entire time you are there. He agreed but his big thrill was the parking arrangement and access to the elevator.
We plan to return this year and look forward to another wonderful week at the OBX. Thanks again for the card you sent us. That's a first and we have rented many places over the years. Hope to enjoy your condo again soon!Response from Seaside Vacations* - 02/12/2012

We had a really great stay at Sea La Vie at the end of October into November, 2011. The weather was very warm when we got there, then there were some chilly days and some rain, but our condo was very comfortable, with the whole ocean side wall of windows to view the ocean. It got a bit drafty when the wind blew - apparently some of the sliding doors don't seal well. We closed the heavy curtains when it was dark to stay warmer. The two steps to the living area and from the king bedroom to the bathroom were a bit annoying for stiff legs and carrying suitcases, and taking food from the kitchen to the dining table. Two of the windows didn't close well and were noisy and drafty during storms - one in the queen room and one in the king room next to the bed. We didn't get much sleep the night before we left due to the noise from the wind and rain. The facilities were more than we imagined otherwise and it had everything we needed. It is close to everything in Kill Devil Hills and surrounding areas.

Sea la Vie is the best vacation spot we have ever enjoyed. It is decorated beautifully and has every amenity one could want, including a very nice laundry room. The master suite is really large and luxurious. There is parking in a covered garage and a most convenient elevator.
Even though it was a little rainy when we arrived, the weather cleared and we enjoyed the pool a lot. Being right on the beach and having a "ring-side" seat on the decks, we soaked up the relaxing sound and view of the atlantic.
The condo is located near good shopping - even a Tanger Outlet Mall and there is.a grocery just a few blocks away. Good dining spots are close-by - something for every taste.
Being a guest at Sea la Vie gives one the privilege of enjoying activities up and down the Outer Banks, such as golfing, art classes and tours of special places. Be sure to take advantage of these perks. We learned a lot about the history of the OBX.
It is my hope that we can one day return to this lovely spot. -

Had a wonderful time even though the weather was not the best, it was better than pa. The only thing I would say is that if you have any physical problems and you are not on the 1st floor you will need the elevator. I would stay here again but as before I would ask if and when the elevator will be running. There was nothing that was needed in this rental everything was there. The decorations were beautiful and very relaxing.

This is a very nice condo with a few minor problems. The toilet seat in the master bedroom, is disgusting. It is an old fashioned vinyl one and it is awful. The condo should have at least one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom when people arrive so you can at least use the bathroom when you arrive before you go to the store. There should be one pack of dishwasher soap for people who only do coffee in the morning so you don't have to buy a whole package for running the dishwasher once during your stay.
