This home was recently fully renovated and is beautifully decorated and offers spectacular unobstructed ocean views as well as access to the beach. Wpm service was as wonderful as it has been in all of the twelve years they have helped us. The only negative with WPM was for the first time in all of our stays, the cleanliness was not up to the usual standard. With hair and dirt in one of the bedrooms and sand on the floor in the main part. The home itself was a great beach house and the location was superb. Only suggestions to owner on improving would be space for groceries brought by guests, perhaps some beach amenities (ie umbrella, chairs, toys) and a spigot handle on the outside. All in all, a really great holiday for the family. Like we said above, we want to come back for more at the Wood Shack.

This cottage is wonderful. The view, alone, from the front porch is breath taking. A lovely overhang on the porch allows you to see the beautiful sunrises and sunsets.We loved the interior layout. Everything was comfortable. The kitchen is spacious with plenty of storage. The bedrooms are comfortable and lovely. I seldom stay in the same cottage each year but I decided to book Woodshack again this summer.
The only thing I would change is the layout of the "kids" room. The beds were too crammed up against each other.They really need to redo the beds in that room.
The service at WPM was excellent.I've stayed with them off and on for the past 30 years and the ladies are always nice and accomodating.Response from Wright Property Management - 01/29/2012

The house, Wood Shack, is a great find in the Outer Banks. Perfect size for a family. Perfect location with lots to do in the area and great proximity to the beach. Can't beat across the street. Our only complaint is that it isn't available during the off season. Love Love Love this house and counting down to this summer.

I have stayed with WPM off and on over the last 30 years. This cottage is exactly what a "beach cottage" should be. The view from the covered porch in the excellent chairs was glorious.The inside has everything you need for the perfect vacation.I and my family are experienced outer banks summer renters and we recommend this cottage to anyone who wants the "real" beach experience.
