The simple life! Come and enjoy the charm of this 1950’s rustic “Old Style Outer Banks” cottage. This 2 bedroom ocean side cottage is approximately 125 feet from the ocean. The cottage offers open closets, floor plans and rooms (of the times), a painted concrete floor, paneled walls and an array of decor that reflect the uniqueness of its age.
This delightful beach cottage has character and is perfect for a small family, or rent PS1 and PS3 for a family gathering that won't break the bank!

We had a great first time experience at the Outerbank. We didn't know what to expect. But we had it all. Great beach location for kids, clean pool and grounds. Cottege was comfortable for the four of us. The owner was very polite and warm. Can't wait to come back next year. We already booked it.

Seaside vacation staff was extremely helpful in every aspect of booking our trip and helping with check-in and questions during our stay.I liked that when we arrived early at OBX and I called to see if our cottage was possibly ready early, I was told about a computerized calling service to notify me when the house was cleaned. That was a coincidence that I decided to call, however, advertising that service would have been nice to know beforehand.
I would like to have had information in our welcome packet about local recycling centers and a map of the OBX.
One of the other homes in Pelican Shores was robbed during our stay, so installing some sort of dead bolt with a key instead of just a door knob lock would have given a more secure feeling.
The home was advertised as having a full bath, which led me to believe there was a tub. That was important to me so I could bathe our baby. In deciding whether we would rent the cottage, the Seaside staff member was not able to determine whether it did or not so we took the chance and booked it. However, upon arrival, we found only a shower. You could improve your advertising by putting a picture and more accurate description of the bathroom on the website.
We loved the wood boardwalk from P.S.'s homes to the beach. The close, private access was a wonderful amenity.
It would have been nice to have access to more than one washer and dryer that was shared with all P.S. residents.Response from Seaside Vacations* - 08/21/2011
