The location and views were great. The house needed TLC as far as cleaning and general appearance. It could use a good scrubbing and some new carpet. We tried to get the laundry lighting fixed and maintenance came out however never fixed the problem. Nothing like doing laundry in the dark!

The home was in a great location and we really enjoyed the sound. Experienced some peaceful afternoons watching the sunset and our children play in the shallow water. Things though noticed on arrival. 9 Windows unlocked on arrival. One lock broken and couldn't lock the window. Used stick in window during stay. Front door lock needs to be replaced. Website listed gas and charcoal grills (no gas grill). Also listed hammock (no hammock). The home needed to be cleaned better. Dirt smears and splatters on kitchen cabinets and white dresser in 1st bedroom. Dresser draw had sticky stuff stuck to bottom. The home really needs to be visited by exterminator. Killed 3-4 spiders daily while there. Also the clothes line and clothe pins aren't sufficient for the number that can stay in the home. Could only hang 2 towels on the line.

The house is very cute. It has a wonderful view off the back deck. The street is very quiet.
The only problem I had was the cleaning. There was none. I don't really want to get into everything again. I already sent a review to Resort Realty and I am waiting to see if I get any comments on it. None so far.
But I had no problem with Resort. In fact the people there are more than willing to help with any questions you have.
I would like to rent from them again. -

I was extremely dissapointed in this home. Check in was very quick and easy. Upon arrival to the home I was greeted with and awful smell caused by the seaweed that had been washed ashore. The home was dusty, exterior paint peeling and dirty, interior paint was dirty, kitchen floor was peeling up in the corner and dirty beside the refrigerator. The toilet handle broke the first time it was used and was not repaired until the following day. The refrigerator was not working properly causing our frozen food to thaw and our refrigerated food had to be stored in the freezer. The refrigerator issue was not resolved for a couple of days. There was no beach area until almost the end of our stay and then it was only there for two days and covered in seaweed. We were unable to crab, fish, swim or anything else at this home the entire stay. There were spiders in the bathroom and bedrooms and some kind of bugs on the ceiling in the living area.
I definetly would not recommend this home to anyone. For the price you pay to rent a home for the week you should be able to relax and enjoy your stay in a clean comfortable home and not have to deal with broken appliances, toilets and a bug problem.
That being said, I have been renting with this company for years and have never had a problem in the past. -

The view of the bay was beautiful. We rented a kayak for the week and the kids enjoyed going out in the bay to kayak, fish and even walk out in the water as the bay was shallow for quite a distance. You will see crabs, fish jumping and geese that would visit daily in the mornings and evening at times. We did not have a pier, one thing the teens wanted so they could go out on and fish off of, but overall a nice stay on the bay. The house could be updated some when it comes to the bathrooms, kitchen and some of the dressers,as it does show it's age and usage. Regardless, we did enjoy the house and the neighborhood was wonderful for walking or biking as there is a nice path/park down a block or two that we enjoyed morning strolls while viewing the bay along the way!

When I booked the house the internet showed me one price & the lease showed me the same price but when I got ready to pay my rent it was almost triple what my rental agreement had on it.
The house was nice not very clean. Cobb webbs all over the house.Really needs some cleaning & painting. Something kept biteing me. I had about 50 bites on me when I came home.I was not out after dark.I got most of them when I was in the master bed room.I thought there may have been bed bugs. The beds were really cheap and hard! My husband had to end up sleeping on the long blue sofa. The location was nice but the trees were to tall to enjoy the view they need to be cut back. I was REALLY up set with there being NO PIER. We were looking forward to fishing but no luck in that.My mother in law couldn't go to the water because the steps were to high from the water. The water was nice once you got down to it. But there was alot of downed trees by the steps that area really needs to be cleaned up.The house was pretty well stocked with almost any dishes you may have needed. The dish washer wasn't working very well. We had to do most of the dishes over again once they came out of the dish washer.

Bohannon was very roomy, clean, relaxing place for my family vacation. We all enjoyed our stay! it was in the perfect location to all that we wanted to do! Owner has kept the place nice.

Great place to stay. Has a nice soundfront beach and a large yard. Front and back decks, very nice. Large living area. Only draw back is no master suite with bath. 2 rooms on 1 side share a bath and 2 rooms on the other share a bath.

This house was laid out nicely, had access to the sound, and was not far from our favorite restaurants and entertainment. We had thought the back yard had a sandy beach area at the edge of the sound, but discovered that a retaining wall had been built. Steps were provided down to the water, which was nice, but sand to play in was minimal. This home met our needs, and we would use it again.

Incredible sunsets from your private location! The bay is only knee deep for 75+ yards - GREAT for kids (and the young at heart) to crab, fish, kayak or just "float" around.
Interior does feature chipping paint along the ceiling seams, and stained ceiling in bathroom (possible roof leak?). Also, there are tools jammed into the front gutters (to keep them level?). We were unable to figure out the VCR / DVD, but a GREAT week of sun kept us content just being outside.
A little attention would make this house PERFECT!
