Our trip to County Kerry was amazing. Despite the lousy January weather, Killarney was a wonderful experience. Staying at the Rookery Mews apartments was the best choice for us. We have two children, one four years and the other two years. The Rookery Mews offered us a high chair and crib for the little one, free wireless internet, and loads of literature on Killarney and the rest of County Kerry.
The apartment is perfectly located too. Each morning we were greeted outside by the neighboring farm's cows. After saying hello to the cows we would take the fifteen minute walk into the town of Killarney.
Killarney is a wonderful place. There are lots of great restaurants, and we took a carriage ride through the Killarney National Park to the Ross Castle. It was amazing. The driver took pictures of the family in front of the castle, in front of his horse, and showed us much of the history of the area.
We also visited the Muckross House and Gardens. The weather was horrible, so the gardens didn't get our full attention, but the house certainly did. What a beautiful structure. It was a magical experience.
The sites, the food, and above all the apartment made this one of the best holidays we've taken. I look forward to visiting again. -

Corkgreat stay yet again

Every time we travel the short distance to killarney we stay here in the Killarney Haven Suites, from the moment you decide to stay here you are guaranteed a hassle free experience. We always book by phone which lines are only open from 9am to 1pm monday to friday but out of office hours you can book via the internet or if you leave a message on the machine they will always ring you back.
Killarney Haven Suites us ideally located right bang centre in the middle of the town, just a mere throwing distance to the nearest pub, shops, restaurants, fast food outlets. The Haven Suites boasts a onsite car park which is monitored! peace of mind for those staying in the back apartments with no view of their car! Initial entry to the car park may be hard to locate as its a laneway right across from the Bricin restaurant and as I say down a very narrow laneway! but this is only for your initial arrival once you get into the apartment you will get a fob for the electronic gates. Reception is located the Furniture store adjacent to the apartments which is handy enough unless you arrive between 1 and 2pm then they are closed for lunch and you are forced to take refuge in one of the pubs until their return! What a hassle... Not!!
The apartments themselves span two floors, all decorated the same, at this point i think i have probably stayed in every single one at some point! but all have the same comfort! if you are lucky enough to get a car park facing room at the front of the building there are some breathtaking views of the mountains and the cathedral. The apartments have fully fitted and stocked kitchen sachets of milk, coffee, sugar, biscuits! the lounge opens on to the kitchen area and again there is a pull out couch for the option of a second bed, a 32 inch tv with dvd. In some apartments there is a balcony and decking area. Linen and towels are supplied and there is also a fully equiped laundry room!
If there is a disturbance during the night or loud music etc mobile phone numbers are on hand for guests to contact no matter what time it is! the room also comes with handbooks and guide books to all the places to see, eat, drink in Kilarney! my own personal favourites are Corkery's Pub the Guiness here is creamy and i can totally recommend the food as well. Also Quinlians fish n chip shop in on the same side as Corkerys again i can highly recommend the prawns.
I would highly recommend Kilarney haven suites to anyone travelling to Killarney! you can come and go as you please, sleep in as late as you want without the hassle of having a chamber maid knocking on your door as early as 11am!!
