      Perfection

Left on 04/02/2013 for a stay in June 2011

Our large family traveled to Ireland to celebrate my mother-in-law's 70th birthday. There were 10 of us ranging from 5 to 70 and there wasn't one person who didn't absolutely love this house. It was perfect for us and our needs.

The mountains are just gorgeous and the walls of windows in the back just make it the perfect backdrop. It was amazing to sit and have breakfast everyday with the stunning view. The cows and dog were just bonus to our animal loving family!

Shane the owner is so accommodating and delightful. We actually went to his parents house because we passed the house and they helped us out! We had trouble figuring out the whole hot water thing, but it all worked out. That was more us than anything! You do pay for your electricity when you leave. It was quite reasonable.

The house was everything we needed and more. Every bed was comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and neat. The whole house was clean and neat for that matter! The kitchen was amazing and had absolutely everything you could need. One of the best memories of the trip was our whole crew making a big spaghetti dinner and eating at home one night!

The house is just a little ways from town, and we loved that it was a bit in the country so we could enjoy the views but had a very quick trip into town. The location was perfect for exploring the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula (our favorite!).

This would be a difficult home to stay in if you had anyone with disabilities. You walk into the front door and you go up steps the the living room/kitchen area or you go down steps to three of the 6 bedrooms. The washer and dryer are in a basement area that is only accessed by going outside. This wasn't a big deal, but I want to make visitors aware.

We fell in love with this house and the area. I would stay in this lovely home again in a heartbeat!

      Beautiful cottage

Left on 10/11/2012 for a stay in July 2012

We travelled with a group of 6 adults total. Arrived in Dublin and drove to Killarney. The house was difficult to find, but eventually we did. The house was well equipped, had a beautiful view, plenty of space, close to the town center and shopping.

We took "Navy showers" because we didn't want to use too much electricity. At the end of 5 days we ended up owing about $5 us in utilities. We could have taken much longer showers!

      Great place to stay.

Perfect family holiday – comfort, convenience and a stunning vie

Left on 06/09/2012 for a stay in May 2012

With so many rentals on offer in Killarney, I feel very lucky that we chose this one for our family holiday. Staying for ten nights with 7 members of my family aged between 2 and 71, this house was perfect for all our needs. It is exactly as it is in the photos, only maybe a bit better!

The house is really well equipped, the bedrooms are very comfortable, and the living space is big and open plan. Local shops are not far away and we were able to easily prepare meals and do washing (really important when travelling with a 2 and 4 year old) in between exploring the beautiful surrounds of Killarney and the Ring of Kerry, and further afield to Cork, Blarney and Dingle.

The house has everything for comfort and convenience. The layout worked really well for us but the absolute highlight is the view over Mangerton Mountains – words fail me, so I have included a photo.

Shane the owner is friendly and helpful, once he had settled us in he gave us privacy (although I get the feeling that if if anything had gone wrong he would be there in a flash).

I couldn’t have asked for a better place, the adults are all still gushing about it, and the kids and still talking about the cows and donkeys we saw every day driving down the hill. Perfect.
