We had a fabulous week at the Coleman's Holiday home. It met our needs perfectly...clean, spacious, beautiful, well-stocked and ideally located. The owner, Valerie, is so sweet and a complete joy to work with. After long days of hiking and exploring we looked forward to "coming home" each day. We highly recommend this beautiful home and our host Valerie.

We had a wonderful 5 days at Valerie's vacation home. The house was very comfortable, roomy and well stocked with necessities. We liked the locations because we could easily take day trips to places like Dingle Bay and Blarney Castle. And we were able to walk to the Muckross House as well as a couple local pubs. I would highly recommend it.

We absolutely loved our stay at this holiday home. Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable beds and furniture, flat screen tv, wifi, all the comforts of home and a short walk to Killarney's town centre. This holiday home is in a great location and is a terrific value.
Upon arrival we were greeted by a kitchen table covered with delicious treats and baked goods. After a long trip it was a very welcome sight.
Valerie and Fintan are thoughtful and caring hosts. We look forward to returning again soon.

We visited Killarney for a long weekend break and we were very impressed with the accommodation of this holiday home. First impressions were just as you on the website and the house was very welcoming after our journey down. The home was spacious for our group of four and was really clean. The bedrooms were very comfortable and loved the blackout blinds.
The owners seem to have equipped it with all you could ask for, never been to a rental with an expresso machine before and we were pleasantly surprised, not to mention books and DVD;s too.The owner had some nice treats waiting for us on arrival which was a very nice touch indeed.
We visited Muckross House and walked around the National Park which is very easy to access on foot from the holiday home.Next time, we intend to come for a longer stay and we will probably hire bikes as the park is awesome. Killarney is one of the nicest towns to visit and we had plenty choice of restaurants and pubs.
This holiday home is one of the nicest homes we have stayed in and we have no hesitation in recommending it.Response from Valerie Coleman - 04/04/2013

We spent a long weekend in Muckross Lakeside Holiday village in the middle of December as we were attending a concert, and also wanted to see Killarney during Christmas.
The home was perfect for us, much more than a holiday home, more like staying at a good friends house. The decor was gorgeous, I actually took photographs as there are several things I'd like to copy for my own house. The TV had loads of channels, there were Dvds, board games, good up to date books. The owners really want their guests to have the best time possible.
The complex is right next door to a lovely hotel (I forget the name) where we ate on several occasions, and across the road from Killarney National Park which has breathtaking walks and views. I don't think you could stay anywhere in Killarney and be nearer to the lakes without getting your feet wet!
We were able to walk to our concert at The Gleneagle which was a great bonus as it meant we could enjoy a glass of beer too!
We both really look forward to returning.

Hi Holiday Lovers,
It is lovely to read such a nice review of our holiday home starting out in another New Year for 2013. We are very happy to hear you seemed to greatly enjoy your weekend break in our holiday home and that you found our home to your expectations.
You have summed up the proximity of our holiday home to the Lakes of Killarney in a nutshell. We are very fortunate to be just across the road, only a five minute walk into the National Park where the beautiful Lakes are situated.
Also delighted to hear you enjoyed your concert in the INEC at the Gleneagle hotel. This venue provides outstanding entertainment from concerts to comedians to dancers and singers all year long and once again we are most fortunate to be sited only 500 yds away.
We do thank you sincerely for taking the time to post such a nice review of our holiday home and we would love to welcome you back anytime you are in Killarney again.

This house was conveniently located on the edge of town. It was spacious, quiet, extremely clean and contained everything you would need for a comfortable stay. There are good restaurants close by and plenty to see and do. Valerie, the owner, was delightful and left us enough good food to feed us breakfast for a week. I would definitely recommend this house for one or two couples or a small family.

I loved my 3 weeks in the Coleman's townhome. It was large enough (3 br, 2 1/2 baths) to accommodate my whole family; is almost right across from the national forest where we walked (or some of us, ran) almost every day; is next to a hotel with bar and restaurant where we ate often; down the road from another hotel where my son went to work out and he and my granddaughter went to swim (special rate arranged for Coleman guests); a block from a store to buy gas and groceries; has internet access and 2 TVs (we never used the one upstairs); lovely large kitchen. Cannot think of anything we needed that was not either included or was close.
It is a long walk or short ride into town, and that worked for us.
The couple of times that we needed to contact Valerie, she was readily available and very helpful. Whatever she said she would do, she did.
We also really liked being in Killarney. It is small enough to be able to get around easily and but large enough to have a variety of pubs and stores and things to do. We especially enjoyed the abbey (in the forest) and Muckross House and farm. Ross Castle also interesting.
It is also a great place location for day trips to Ring of Kerry, Dingle Peninsula, Cork, Tralee (Rose Festival), Puck Festival (Aug. 10-12), Blarney, etc.
If there was any negative to the home, it is that the upstairs floors creak. If someone is going to sneak around, that could be an issue. It wasn't an issue for us.
I would love to go back for another extended stay.

Dear Sue,
It was just a pleasure from start to finish having you and your whole family as guests and I would like to thank you sincerely for the lovely review of our holiday home and the Killarney region.I was delighted to hear your son spent time running in the National Park across the road and that your grandchildren used the leisure centre facilities just a few mins walk away, it is very popular with kids and adults alike.
Yes we do have hardwood floors upstairs which can creak a little as most hardwood floors do, but our guests just like yourself don't have any problem with it and it has never been an issue at all to date. Great to hear you would like to return, we would love to have you back some time if you get the chance again to escape the Texas sunshine.
Thank you most sincerely for your custom, your kindness, taking time out to post your review and I hope to meet you all again sometime.

My mother rented this holiday home for three weeks. We visited for 10 days and fell in love with Killarney! It is right across the street from the Killarney National Park, which is great for hiking, bike-riding, jaunting car trips, and just plain walking. The nearby Muckross abbey, inside the park, is an incredible find and only a 15-minute walk from the Home.
Six of us, including 2 young kids, stayed comfortably in this home. We cooked most meals here (looove the Barry's Gold Blend tea!) and washed all clothes in the convenient washer and dryer.
Weather was wonderful throughout our stay! Access to a nearby gym/indoor swimming pool was a plus! Killarney is a wonderful place to explore, but also makes it easy to access Dingle, the Ring of Kerry, and other sites.
While we had a rental car, which we used to drive into Killarney Town, my mom made the walk multiple times and had no problem carrying her purchases back.
Valerie was always available and had an answer for any question we threw at her. I loved our stay in Killarney and at the Killarney Holiday Home and would recommend it (actually, I already have recommended it!) to anyone. -

We drove Ireland, which was an experience in itself, but once arriving in Kilarney and being greeted by Valerie, her place was perfect. With four adult children we had lots of room to spread out. The townhouse was very spacious, clean, the beds very soft, towels and linens superb...it was all that it was represented to be. Perfect site for two night stay as we explored the Dingle pennisula (highly recommend that as well). We cooked in one night and found the kitchen to be very nice and well stocked. Most impressive were the incredible touches Valerie had for us upon arrival - flowers, morning pasteries, jams, coffees and teas, as well as a really nice Irish welcome gift. All just made the arrival and stay that much better. Her recommendation for dinner our first night was fantastic. We can't say enough good about Valerie, her service to us, and her residence. Fabulous!! The only negative was we didn't realize how much there is to do and see in Kilarney. We would definitely come back and stay longer. A really neat town and area of Ireland. We'd have no reservations about staying with Valerie again. Ease of transportation, safe, beautiful location. Thanks Valerie for all your touches and kindness afforded to our family. We hope to return one day.

We received very good instructions on how to get to Killarney, how to reach the house and how to enter it. First impressions of the house where great - it was clean, bedrooms made up very nicely, there was fresh tea and freshly grounded coffee there, and we had some pie waiting for us upon arrival. There is a dishwasher, washing machine, kitchen fully stocked with appliances, plates and pots. Locations is very good - very close to the National Park, bike rental next door. Only Killarney town is a bit too far to walk, unless you are looking for a relaxed exercise. Very pleased with everything in general.

Had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay here again if traveling with a group again. Valarie was very helpful; from making sure we knew how to get to the home, how to work the heat/shower/etc, local restaurants and pubs, to golf courses.
We arrived to a spotless apartment with various pastries waiting for us on the table with a very nice welcome note.
The location was perfect for us. It's a very short drive/taxi into town (it is walkable) and the National Park is right next door. The Ring of Kerry and Dingle are close enough to make a nice day trip. There are various hotels close by that have restaurants and you will be able to get a discounts with them as well (One is next door and a few are within 1/2 mile.)
Bike rentals are close by and you even can have access to one of the hotels health facilities. We spent most of our time traveling around Kerry, so we did not get to take advantage of the many nearby amenities; however if one wanted to stay local, there is plenty to do.Response from Valerie Coleman - 06/02/2012

Our family party of five, stayed in this holiday home for a week’s break while we explored the Southwest region of Ireland. The house was spacious, lovely and reasonably priced. Our rooms were spotless and very nicely decorated. The holiday home is very well stocked if you want to cook in, though alas we didn’t make a lot of use of the kitchen apart from the coffee make and toaster, as we were too busy enjoying the beautiful breath-taking sites of Killarney and Kerry.
The location of the home is ideal really as you are beside the Killarney National Park with its beautiful walking and hiking trails. We did enjoy walking by the Lakes and hired bikes one of the days to tour the park and Ross Castle, all less than five minutes away. Muckross and the National Park are the gem of Killarney so really I don’t think you could find a better location for a holiday rental.
We visited the Inec very nearby to sample the entertainment on offer and thoroughly enjoyed it. We didn’t have to take a cab, the walk home took all of three minutes! This venue is certainly impressive and worth a visit.
The scenery in Killarney and the area especially the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula is simply beautiful and is probably of the most spectacular areas of Ireland that we have visited. We really enjoyed our vacation and we can highly recommend this home to you if you need space, comfort and location, location, location! The owner was very helpful and kind and the home is exactly as you see it on the photos. We can highly recommend this holiday rental. We spent a long weekend in Muckross Lakeside Holiday village at the start of this month and, despite the less than brilliant weather, had a fabulous time. The holiday home was fabulous, fully equipped to a very high standard and there was nothing we looked for that was not available. Taking our two children (10 and 12) with us we felt that Killarney is ideal for a family break, with more than enough to keep two 'would be teenagers' busy. The location was perfect, we could walk from the house to Killarney National Park and the gorgeous lakes, and the children hired bikes which they loved. On one of the wet days we went swimming at The aquila Club Leisure Centre, for which we received a discount as we were staying in Muckross Lakeside Holiday Village, which was a nice touch. It was easy to enjoy the night times as the house had an enormous flat screen TV and DVD player, which kept everyone happy and meant we only had to go out to eat when we wanted to. All in all 10 out of 10 for a great break in a spotlessly clean and up to date holiday home. We will be back.
