The location was first rate, ski-on, ski-off excellent. It is a great home, lots of space, but showing it's age. Overall, excellent rental, would rent again.

James, Thank you so much for your kind words. The property could not be in a better location. Granted it is one of the older properties in town but you won't get a better value for your location than Trailside Treasure. With Kind Regards, Kent

The large great room, kitchen and dining area are wonderful for large groups. The sauna was a nice treat, although most wanted a hot tub. The beds are not the most comfortable and the squeaky floor boards need fixing, I don't need to hear every movement from above. Ski in and ski out was great.

Dana, Glad to hear you enjoyed yourself. Thanks, Kent

Amos, We wish more tenants were like you. Come back often and we will hook you guys up with a firefighters discount. Thanks for all you and your group do. The owner here has family in Boston. Hopefully you never meet them during a shift but if you do I'm sure they'll be in good hands. With Kindest Regards, Kent Hower.

My group of grad school friends travels up to Killington every year for a long weekend. This year, instead of renting two condos, we rented Trailside Treasure. There was many things we were dissappointed about.
We were told it was a ski on/ski off property which would be ideal for us. However, when we arrived, we found out the trail we were on was closed. There wasn't any shuttles to bring us to the mountain, and since the driveway was a steep hill covered in snow and ice that we could barely get up - we walked. Saturday and Sunday we were able to ski to the mountain without any issue. Friends who did not drive Suvs could not get up the driveway...one of my friends actually got stuck in a ditch on the side of the driveway and we had to call aAa to tow him out. There was a shuttle that would bring you to the Wobbly Barn & a few other places on the access road.
With it's high ceilings and huge windows - it was freezing, even with the heat on. At night, with fires roaring it was comfortable, but the mornings were especially tough.
The house is beautiful, however, it hasn't been updated except for a new fridge and oven in years. We could not find a skillet or a baking sheet in either kitchen...that being said, the upstairs kitchen functioned perfectly fine. We didn't really use the downstairs kitchen, mainly due to the fact we didn't need two...and there were a few mice in the basement.
My biggest gripe with the house was the sleeping situation! The house actually sleeps ten comfortably, not 14 as we were told...there are two pull out sleeper sofas in the basement that were in horrible shape and could not be used. Thankfully, someone brought an airmattress that we used for sleeping (although it's a shame to think that people who paid money thinking they would have a bed ended up on an airmattress in a living room).
There was a sauna (we didn't use it, but it seemed great) but no hot tub. There was also no WiFi and only basic cable channels. I believe there was a DVD player. The house came with a washer/dryer on the 2nd floor. The house also came with basic linens, but no maid service until after we left. I would suggest bringing your own towels, as theirs are thin and rough.
For the amount of money we paid, we expected a lot more - next year, we will go back to renting two condos at Killington! -

The house was very big, with a huge fireplace that we loved. Great for a large group, especially if some want to go to bed early and some want to stay up late, as there are two living rooms. The house is clean, and there is plenty of room for ski equipment. The sauna was also a nice addition. We will definitely be back!
