Jasper ABBeautiful, Peaceful and Relaxing!
Left on 03/24/2012 for a stay in March 2012
I recently just stayed at Timberstone Lodge with my boyfriend for a little holiday to get away from the real world for a couple of days. It was everything we were expecting and more. The unit was beautiful and clean and luxurious. It had everything we needed plus a beautiful view of the ski hill. Its pretty insane to look out your living room window at night and see the groomers grooming your back yard. It was amazing. The hot tub was very appreciated. Its off the back with a view of the ski hill and exactly what you need after a long day. The whole experience felt like a dream and i would definitely recommend it to anyone needing a nice vacation or getaway! Thank-you RMa!

ThebrookMissed the mark.

Firstly, I understand that grouping people together makes it much easier for staff to perform their duties, but I find it frustrating trying to park in a confined space when so much of the condo complex is empty. I especially appreciate having to schlep my luggage and gear an extraordinary distance to accommodate condo owners who obviously detest guest/renters by parking on angles to ensure they have an easy & unspoiled access to their own place.
The unit itself was nice despite the weird layout. The gas fireplace worked occasionally despite following the vague instructions, and the plethora of entertainment devices were much like Christmas ornaments,...nice things to look at, though they didn't do anything. Thankfully we brought our own entertainment devices to fill the void.
Eventually, we got used to hiking up and down the stairs to the bathroom(s) from the main living area, and convinced ourselves it was part of our skiing warm-up/cool down circuit.
Pros - The unit was well stocked with cookware, utensils, glasses, etc. The beds were extremely comfortable, the hot tub was clean, and in perfect working order.
* The last two points nearly made it worth the stay.*

CalgaryGreat place - true ski in - ski out

The ski in - ski out condo was very nice. I would stay there again and highly recommend it. Neat, clean, new. You ski down to the lifts and take the t-bar back to the room - keep in mind for end of day. We went back mid-day for lunch, very easy. Two nice bedrooms (very comfy 1 queen, 1 king beds) and two bathrooms are on lower floor with access to nice private hot tub on lower deck. Good laundry facilities. Bring a pad lock if you want to lock up your skis in the ski locker on lower deck - likely not needed to lock up - we put ours in our ski box. Kitchen well equipped. Tv set up over the fireplace was too high for comfortable viewing. We could not figure out the rest of the complicated set up, not sure how to get stereo, dvd etc working - no instructions. Tv in master bedroom did not work, or could not figure out how to turn it on! The furniture was not well placed for TV viewing, but great for comfortable visiting. They should put pads on the bottom of the furniture for moving around (everyone does this), else the wood floors will get very scratched - already slight evidence of that. There is no "office" nearby, so you are on your own if there are problems, there is a number to call, but had no problems.
The key pick up and drop off in town was very easy. We did not ski on the last day, so I am not sure what time the key had to be dropped off, if you were skiing for the whole day.
