What Past Guests Are Saying
Beautiful retreat in the most beautiful setting!
We had an amazing long weekend away with our extended family (grandparents, kids, and 5 grand kids) Bonnie Doones had something for each generation to enjoy! We all had a fantastic time, the home had lots of room- giving the older folks the quiet area they needed, but it was also a wonderful balance of cozy, making our family weekend away very memorable. The bedrooms were spacious, the kids loved the bunkbeds, the grandparents loved the master suite and the middle generation loved the well equipped kitchen and hot tub! There was lots to do and see all weekend, rain or shine! Would definitely go again and willing be recommending to family and friends!
Awesome place if you love your privacy!!!
When my family and I first arrived we were taken aback by the beauty we had right outside the window. The house was big and we loved it. It was beautiful inside and out. From the hot tub and pond to the tennis courts and air hockey table, it filled our day and night with something fun to do. Even taking a walk around the property was a nice way to wind down the evening. All in all, this is the place to stay and we definitely want to do it again!!
Bonnie Doones is absolutely lovely
Bonnie Doones is just perfect, exceeded all expectations, and provided my friends and me with an unforgettable getaway. Nothing within this property was left forgotten. From the fabulous kitchen, to the relaxing hot tub, the stylish, spacious, and clean rooms, to the high end electronics and sound system, there was not a single thing overlooked.
Comfortable, relaxing and lavish, the cottage home is unbelievable. The surrounding property is also gorgeous, nestled in a valley directly across from a forest home to animals, hiking trails, and beautiful flowers. There is a swimming pound, large grass area to play soccer, volleyball ect, as well as a basketball and tennis court. The location is much excluded that, if you are a large group, you do not need to worry about disturbing neighbours, or if you are just a couple you can really appreciate the time alone listening to the sounds of the wilderness.
Janice, the owner, was a delight and very helpful. I highly recommend this property, you will not be disappointed!
Luxury house + heavenly surroundings = one amazing rental!
Our annual girls weekend was phenomenal at Bonnie Doones, this amazing rental. Casual but luxurious, huge, beautiful surroundings, all the amenities you could ask for. Steps from great hiking, beautiful views, very nice and accommodating owners. Thanks J & J! Aly and the girls
Another Great Visit!
This was our 3rd time back at Bonnie Doones and we can't wait to book our 4th!
From seeing the deer, to relaxing in the hot tub, to reading by the fire, there is something for everyone to do!
Great location, with lots of outdoor adventure possibilites.

A Little Slice of Paradise
Each year we search for a suitable getaway for our large group of friends, and every year things have kept getting better. Until next year. Next year will not be any better, because we are pretty sure that is impossible.
Bonnie Doones surprised us with its sweeping views of the rolling Grey County countryside, it's warm inviting ambiance, and all the little luxuries this holiday dream home had to offer.
The residence was very clean, nicely decorated, and the rooms well kept. The Great Room was amazing to curl up with a good book and a roaring fire, or get a raucous round of Headbandz going (Board Game). It made the perfect Crazy Eight space, impromptu cocktail bar, relaxation area, and comfort lovers dream. The games room was a fantastic addition, and the Television room was well stocked with a great media selection. The kitchen is a cooks dream, and the appliances great to work with, even for feeding a large group, including one member with an insatiable appetite. The praise could continue to pile, let me assure you.
The owners of the property were gracious and kind, as well as very helpful with all our questions. To top things off they even suggested that we try dogsleding as an activity, which turned out to be a truly unforgettable experience.
We look forward to returning in the summer to further explore the property and make use of the gorgeous pond. Thank you again for sharing your little slice of paradise with us!

When can we go back?
I have had the great pleasure of having two weekend experiences at this amazing vacation retreat. Two different groups of lady friends each visit, both groups of friends absolutely awe struck and committed to annual returns.
This is a beautiful spot for friends or family to gather and share the joy of being together.
This home is beautifully appointed. From the moment you walk in the door you will be delighted with your decision to visit. Everything is immaculately clean, inviting, grand and yet cozy. Snuggle up by the fire, read a book, soak in the hot tub and watch deer graze in the distance.
Book your retreat now. You won't regret it!!

Bonnie Doones Beckons!
Our stay at Bonnie Doones was absolutely lovely. The house was beautiful, spacious and welcoming. We felt at home right away. The view from the hot tub was breathtaking; we took a "dip" every day. The children loved it, even when it was snowing! The grounds are wonderful for daily walks and exploring, and the challenging but worthwhile Old Baldy trail with panoramic lookout is just around the corner. The local Kimberley General Store is iconic, and has just about everything you could need, including community, camaraderie and local history. We also loved The Flying Chestnut Kitchen just down the road in Eugenia with its unique ambiance and exceptional food. A hop, skip and jump from Scandinave Spa in Collingwood and the beautiful towns of Flesherton, Markdale and Thornbury - Bonnie Doones is a Beaver Valley gem. Already looking forward to our next visit!
A True Gem !!!
You can see pride of ownership. The house is beautiful and very spacious, clean and well equipped. There are great views outside. There are many areas outside to sit and relax and enjoy the views. You can take long walks along many trails on this property. I would recomend Bonnie Dunes for anyone looking for a fantastic relaxing retreat.
Beautiful weekend getaway
From the moment we entered the house we were very impressed by the architecture; the rooms are very spacious and with big windows. The deck at the back is also a fantastic place to enjoy stunning views of the surrounding hills and the pond. The hot tub is another very nice feature of the property. The fall colours were spectacular. We loved walking on the many winding trails on the property. We would love to come back for a longer stay.
My friends and I have had the pleasure of staying at Bonnie Doones for the past two summers. Each year has yielded great weather, an assortment of activities for the group and an opportunity for us to escape the hectic life of the city. The property is beautiful inside and out and we are always impressed each and every time we visit. At the end of each trip we are always a little sad to leave but look forward to potentially returning the following year.
Even better in real life. We had an amazing time and enjoyed the awesome views from the house. Wish we didn't have to leave. The only downfall is its too big! Lol
My friends and I really enjoyed our long weekend at Bonnie Doones! The cottage is absolutely goregous and full of so much space if you want to have alone time away from everyone. There was always something to do, from tennis to air hockey to swimming in the pond. We had gorgeous weather and enjoyed a camp fire every night and found ourselves suntanning on the deck or hanging out by the pond. I would recommend this cottage to anyone! Its a very beautiful and relaxing place to go!
Paradise Found at Bonnie Doones
The space, the comfort, the atmosphere - all top notch. As exhausting as the tennis, swimming and hiking can be, the relaxation found at the deck, hot tub and hammock heals all. A rare gem indeed.
I stayed at Bonnie Doones with 8 friends and family in early June. The cottage was spacious, well laid out and beautifully furnished. We also lucked out with great weather - aside from an early morning thunderstorm which you could watch through the entire valley. The views are amazing - there isn't a single residence as far as we could see - just Beaver Valley and Talisman chairlifts to the distant right and left.
The cottage, swimming pond, hot tub, etc were all clean and well prepared for our stay. We appreciated touches like the outdoor speaker system for enjoying bbqing, hammocks on the swimming pond deck, the well laid out and equipped kitchen, etc.
It's a great place to relax, but between swimming, hot tub, volleyball, hiking, tennis, ping pong, air hockey, foosball, Stanley Cup finals on the big screen tv, we all wished we were there for a couple more days! It felt about as close as you can get to renting a mini-resort just for you and your guests.
We'll be back!
