Description from the manager
Cottage Profile Three bedroom Viceroy Cottage located in private setting on the shores of Lake Huron. This cottage sits on a private lot with no cottages on either side. There is one cottage at the base of the long winding driveway but there is plenty of screening from it. A large wooden deck stretches across the lake side of the cottage and provides a great view of the lake. This deck has a patio table, umbrella, and four chairs. A propane barbeque is also provided here for your outside dining pleasure. Adjacent to the deck is a six person hot tub that has a great view of the lake. Imagine sitting in the hot tub looking up for the big dipper...Read more

Orleans, OntarioA very relaxing place to vacation.
Left on 10/22/2011 for a stay in July 2011
Went with our kids, ages 19 and 21. Enjoyed the view of the bay, and having a washing machine and dryer was a huge bonus, since they had been working at camp. The waterfront was as described ie. marshy and unswimmable. The kayaks are a nice addition. The water was choppy one day and we were afraid re safety and currents etc. but it was not deep quite far out. Cools down at night and the hot tub was used well. Beautiful sunsets. Beds were fine and the place was clean. Enjoyed relaxing together with the skylight and comfy couches. The biggest drawback is no beach there, and the one at Inverhuron had lots of floating scum that day. Kincardine beaches are beautiful though.

Had a great time. Quiet, clean, and spacious. The shallow water that went forever was great for dogs and non swimmers. Lot of things to do at the cottage and in the area. Highly recommend!!

London, ONGreat Getaway!
Left on 08/04/2010 for a stay in July 2010
The cottage was a nice getaway from the daily grind. A very quiet area right on the lake. It would have been amazing to visit this cottage years ago when the water level was higher! It was definitely a cottage that we would love to rent again.

MississaugaGreat First Wedding anniversary
Left on 08/04/2010 for a stay in June 2010
We spent our first anniversary at Gemello Festa and had a great time. We were able to bring our dog which is a must, she's a part of our family. The weather wasn't great, but we did manage to see one gorgeous sunset. The amenities were perfect and the location was very private. We had a very relaxing vacation.

OntarioClean, Quiet and exactly as it was pictured!
Left on 10/30/2009 for a stay in September 2009
As with the other cottage we rented throught this site the place is exactly as represented on the website. They have the most customer oriented representatives I have ever dealt with. Considering their business is renting out various other peoples homes to have such a high level of care is almost impossible but they pull it off with the look of ease.
The home was exactly what we saw in the pictures and the area was just as nice.
This location is far enough from city life yet not so far that you feel isolated. The perfect cottage experience.
We would suggest this cottage to ANY ONE looking to just relax and enjoy the surroundings. -

Toronto/Hamilton/Sarnia - OntarioRestful and peacefull
Left on 09/22/2009 for a stay in August 2009
Located off the highway at the end of a concession road, the cottage is in a very small sub-division. A very quiet and peaceful place?great for resting, enjoying a book, the hot-tub or have conversation as we watch the sunset. No car traffic, no neighbour right next door, only the occasional walker on the path. No noisy boats operated in front of the cottage.
There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out during the day--in the living room or on the deck.
The kitchen was very well equipped and the barbeque worked great!
It is located a little far from town-about 25 minutes to downtown Kincardine.
The grandparents loved the cottage too!

Dartmouth, NSLovely Sunsets
Left on 02/06/2009 for a stay in September 2008
The cottage was quiet, well situated and well appointed. The hot tub was a big bonus ... while the late September weather was on the cool side, you could always enjoy the outdoors from the warnth of the hot tub.
The cottage is only a short drive from either Southampton/Port Elgin or Kincardine and within driving distance of Toronto - this made it an excellent "central focal" point to stay at and then go out and explore the region. The cottage is also quite close to Bruce Power and its "Visitors' Centre" which we all thoroughly enjoyed.
All in all, it was a good place to stay and easily accessible by paved roads ... we all thoroughly enjoyed our vacation time there.

Left on 01/24/2009 for a stay in September 2004
We really enjoyed our stay. The owners provided all the necessities for a great vacation - including bbq, bedding & wood. It was our own oasis, quiet and we thoroughly enjoyed the fireplace, walking along the shore which is just steps away and the out side hot tub ended the day of relaxing perfectly. Lots of room for a small or large family. Clean and in a wonderful quiet area with good privacy.

Left on 01/23/2009 for a stay in October 2006
The cottage was beautiful, clean and comfy. The water entry at the cottage was not good, but this is what they described it to be so I was not shocked and it was not far from sandy beaches. Great hospitality by owners although we never met - we could tell that the guests were thought of.
I would love to go back, (but the prior cottage rental company would not process my application teh following year due to their policies as I now have a dog and wanted to vacation with it.) Although I have stayed at other cottages with my dog and have been welcome and encouraged to return!
Otherwise I would go to this cottage every year as I loved the location and the cottage itself! Does this request for feedback mean the cottage changed cottage rental management companies and that I may be able to go there with my dog now? Do let me know! Thanks
