Comfortable lake view condo for family or friends
The Brockway Contemporary was beautifully located with a view of Lake Tahoe. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils. All components worked well, including TVs and DVD players. Towels and linens were of good quality, and the place was comfortably furnished. Highly recommended on all those counts. The only drawback was that we couldn't figure out how to heat the two levels properly. At night the upstairs would be freezing while the downstairs felt too hot.

Wonderful condo with special touches. We arrived with a welcome basket of wine & goodies that set the mood. Nice deck with a beautiful view of the lake. Comfy furnishings! We will go back again!

I wish they would have been honest
All my comments have been discussed with the poperty management co. This property is not as it was presented and is overvalued.
1- The tea kettle was old and rusted and may have had mold and we drank out of many times before we realized it.
2- I got hit on the head by a door frame that was not attached.
3- None of the sliding windows lock and you have to make sure to use a rod to secure them.
4- Carpets have water stains.
I thought they would reduce the rate after I complained and left it for them to decide and have not heard back as of yet.

Thank you for your review. After speaking with you about your concerns I was in direct contact with the owner. The owner came into the property just a few days after your departure. The tea kettle has been replaced. He checked for any loose door frame or loose anything near any of his doors but could not find anything to repair. Many slider doors have this lock issue and many owners simply put a dowel rod behind the door as a security measure because the owners are gone. Many owners do not see t his as an issue but as a extra measure of safety and we have never had any complaints about this, however we are getting the slider locks fixed as soon as possible. The carpets are cleaned often. Last winter after such heavy snows many ice dams formed on corners of roofs, which is the case here and as the ice dam melted the water leaked into the floor and stained the carpets. The HOA at this complex has been informed and we are currently working on a resolution for this but please know that the carpets have been cleaned and are cleaned frequently. Nice Location
The location of this property was great to overlook the lake. The home itself is in need of updates - carpets need to be cleaned as well as upholstered barstools. Beds were uncomfortable.

Wonderful location and great condo
From the ease of the lock box key to get into our condo to all of the necessities already included in this beautiful condo, we had a wonderful time. There was a brand new Weber gas Bar BQ on the deck and we enjoyed our first night there first walking out on the private dock for a great sunset and then enjoyed the rest of evening with dinner on the deck and the ever present wonderful view. The kitchen was well equipped and we did cook half of the time, so that came in handy. I think the only thing that might be missing is a TV in the 2nd King bedroom and directions for the DVD player. Restaurants and beach are walking distance. Overall...we will definitely plan to stay here again.
