This newer home has 2 large decks overlooking 3rd green of the Old Brockway Golf Course. The main floor has a kitchen, great room, laundry room, bedroom and bath. While upstairs has two bedrooms and one bath. Conveniently located: walk to the beach and Recreational Center; 10 minutes from Northstar ski slopes; and just 5 minutes from north shore casinos & nightlife. This delightful vacation rental is clean, comfortable, light, bright and comes fully furnished.

Reservation & Cancellation Policies
A deposit of 50% of the total amount and a separate check for $300, which is a refundable security deposit, is required to reserve the home. The balance is due three weeks prior to your rental date. The 50% deposit will be retained, following cancellation, if the cancelled time is not rented again.

Thank you for your wonderful rental home in Kings Beach. It was amazing! The house was beautiful and the location is fabulous. I enjoyed how prepared the house was as we were there for snow and sunshine. Having the sleds was wonderful for our kids and the hot tub was wonderful for the adults! I really appreciated how well stocked the kitchen was, along with all the bathrooms. The washer and dryer were a bonus as was the stocked pantry and spice cabinet.
Thank you for your wonderful emails as you were always so quick to respond. I would recommend this place to any of my friends and hope to stay here again soon. Thank you again. -

Our extended family stayed at the Mashie house a week before Christmas. The house was great, and everything described by previous reviewers. It was close to a grocery store, clean, and stocked with everything, including firewood, and laundry soap. The Mashie house is not "fancy" like some others that we had looked at, it felt home with a great location. The hot tub was super-clean and overlooked the snow covered 3rd hole of the golf-course. It was great for us because we had 2 small children, who wanted to play in the snow...for about an hour. At the Mashie house, they had their own winter wonderland, right down to the sled under the house. The grandchildren made a snow cave, came in to use the bathroom and get hot chocolate, before going back out to sled. The location made it really easy for a family of small children. Every bedroom had TV and Disc, so when a grandchild needed some downtime to get away, they could just retire to their room. The owner was wonderful, Diane was very accommodating and understanding for schedule changes. It is not your "basic rental". For example, the house was stocked with a coffee pot, grinder and filters! We roasted marshmallows over the gas grill, in the hot tub! Our family made many memories there and will return again. Close to Northstar and Squaw Valley, great location, near a major Hwy, but quiet on a end-end street of a golf course.

We have been coming to this cabin for about 7 years. We have three kids (ages 8, 6 and 1)..and we could not ask for a better house and location. We walk everywhere ...beach, grocery store, resturants, miniture golf, movies, etc. The house is a perfect house for families and very comfortable. We look forward to many more family vacations!

My family and I have been renting the Mashie house from Diane Dahl Rye for approximately 7 years, and we are renting it again in February 2011. The house is extremely conveniently located to all the ski resorts. Also, since it backs up to the golf course, there is all sorts of wonderful snow activities that we enjoy right out our back door. The hot tub on the back porch is a fantastic place to ease the sore muscles from skiing and to just relax and enjoy ourselves.
On the inside, the bedrooms are all comfortable and well set up to allow individuals to retreat a little from the entire family.
The kitchen area is marvelous. I have never stayed in a rental with such a well-equipped kitchen, with so much cooking and storage space. The common area is also very conducive to major family fun, relaxation, and socializing.
It has always been easy to rent, and if problems arise, the solution is only a phone call away. Diane has people in the area who are available to fix any problem that might arise.
2 years ago we were not able to rent the Mashie house because I didn't contact Diane in time to get the days that we needed. We ended up with another house that was much more expensive-and we hated it! Since then, we always try to make sure that we can rent the Mashie house. -

We have stayed at Diane's Kings Beach resort home more than half a dozen times in the last ten years. Each time we found ourselves relaxing and enjoying all the conveniences of our own home. We love to stay in June or September when the Tahoe area is not as crowded with summer vacationers yet the weather is usually perfect.

Not only do I adore Diane ( the owner) but this rental is my home away from home. We have been vacationing here every year for the last 8 years ( sometimes twice a year). The home is like our second home. It is so comfortable and clean an spacious. The outdoor deck sits on the Golf Course and is a beautiful setting. You can walk to the beach or Safeway bothe being rite down the street. Diane and Jerry have kept the unit up to date as far as appliances and furniture. The beds are so comfortable. I will be headed back again this weekend Labor Day to finish out our summer. I totally recommend this house. It has everything and then some .
