If your idea of a perfect vacation involves tall pine trees, a babbling creek, and a private condo then this is the spot for you! This unit is tucked back next to the creek and is fully equipped, including high speed wireless internet.
The kitchen and bathroom are remodeled with granite counter tops, new cabinets and new kitchen appliances. The two decks off the back of the condo overlook the creek, and in the summer the upper deck has a gas BBQ. The living room has comfortable recliners, a full size sofa sleeper, TV with DVD/VCR and a new gas fireplace. Three story townhome with 1 bedroom + loft (with a TV/DVD), one full bath with tub/...shower. This condo does have two foam sleeping pads that could accomodate two sleeping children if needed.
The complex offers pool, tennis courts, fitness room and sauna during the summer. . Northstar ski area is minutes away for winter fun and if summer is your season then a sandy beach, golf, restaurants and shopping are less than a mile away!
Please no smoking, no pets. Please note - while this is a no-pet unit the owner does bring up her non-allergic dog with her.
GREATTHE HOME IS NICE . IT IS VERY NICELY FURNISHED. THE POOL IS VERY CLEAN. THE LOCATION IS THE BEST, WITH THE CREEK IN THE BACK.
We chose this because the location was central to all amenities as well as to all the shops and eateries dotting N. Lake Blvd, but bear in mind that you would have to drive if requiring more than two hands. Walking is doable in nice weather, however. A little less than a mile down to the Safeway off 267 and N. Lake Blvd. This is perfect for two couples (two beds, one on the lower level and another in the loft area) or a family with children staying in the area for more than two days given that the rental offers access to the pool/gym, has a washer/dryer, and a full kitchen. There is only one bath/toilet on the lower level, but the couch in the living room folds out into a bed. Both rooms offer TV and basic cable, and the loft upstairs has another bed + cube tv/dvd-in-one. Decor is rustic/old school/80's and not modern, but personally, it doesn't matter since it was basically a place to spend the night before heading back up into the mountains. The gas fireplace was especially useful and nice during the evening when temps hit the low 40's. Parking is plentiful and access to 267 is quick. Property is clean/maintained and we would definitely rent again. I would recommend this for anyone staying longer than 2 days.
Additional amenities include: suitable for children, laundry, watersports, tennis, vacation, golf nearby, tennis access, skiing, on-line book.Read more
Fireplace was broken, owners not responsive at all

The fireplace was not working. We tried to contact the owner and the property manager, but neither were helpful. The owner was not responsive at all when we contacted them about it. Given we were traveling there during the winter, we were all looking forward to a warm fireplace! I would have appreciated at least an apology from the owner, but they didn't even respond to my calls or emails. I don't like to write bad reviews, but I go to Tahoe every year and I definitely won't be staying with this rental again.

3 days in north lake tahoe
Left on 10/28/2008 for a stay in August 2008 | Olivia Sanchez
We really had fun. This is our third time in Lake Tahoe and Kings Beach is the perfect vacation place for a family or even for a couple. The condo was close to a local supermarket, shops, Kings Beach. We also went river rafting on the Truckee river which was only about 3 miles from Kings Beach. That was awesome! You can take a cooler with lunch and it takes about 3 hours to go down the truckee river which is very mild except for the end which was fast and very fun! Then we went to South lake tahoe for shopping and souveniers there is a great steakhouse called Womacks. We grilled burgers and hot dogs the next day on the deck of the condo and then enjoyed the pool. The water at Kings Beach in August was warm and so clean I wish beaches were like that in Southern California. We didn't go to the casinos but we will next time.

Amenities card was missing. So no access to pool. Evidently card had been missing with previous tennet. No response from management after numerous attempts.
