Description from the owner

The Gallery Inn is spacious loft style accommodation filled with contemporary art that honors it's twenty year history as an art gallery. It's very sunny and airy with windows on three sides letting in plenty of morning and afternoon light. Located just a few blocks from the historic Kingston waterfront in a 1860's historic brick building where you can visit the Hudson River Maritime Museum (the new winter home of sloop Clearwater), the Trolley Museum of New York, several art galleries and antique centers, marinas, a seasonal water taxi, and the new Kingston waterfront promenade, and many great restaurants and cafes.

      Submerged in art!

Left on 08/07/2012 for a stay in July 2012

We absolutely loved our stay at the Gallery Inn! The space was beautifully renovated, yet comfortable and homey. Terrific artwork decorates the walls. The location is amazing, just steps away from the Hudson River and the fantastic boutiques that line the streets. Nancy Donskoj, the owner, is absoultely terrific. And bonus, there is an art gallery in the first floor! We are excited to return in a few weeks!

Great base for visiting Kingston: near shops, galleries and rest

Left on 11/20/2011 for a stay in November 2011

The Gallery Inn is conveniently located near the shops, galleries and restaurants of Downtown Kingston. (There are no city or county buses on Sundays, but that's not the innkeeper's fault!) The property is spacious and well-furnished, with a small refrigerator, kitchenware and bedding. Wifi and cable TV are included. There is no elevator, but that was not a problem for us. The staff was friendly and helpful. It would have been useful to be able to book the property online, but the owner was easily reached by phone and email.

      A Lot For The Money!

Left on 10/06/2011 for a stay in July 2011

For my solo trip to Kingston, staying at the Gallery Inn was a style of accommodations that pleased the senses and my pocketbook. Spacious rooms, clean and comfortable. The bedroom was super large with a bed that could not have been any more comfortable. The rooms were accented with fine contemporary art that really set the mood for my goals of checking out the arts and antiques of Kingston. The Inn's location eliminated transportation costs as I could walk to the Hudson River's edge while checking out the various art galleries and antique shops. Resturants and Bars were really close, clean, friendly and reasonable. As a history buff, I could not get enough of the museums and Dutch history that commanded the area. What a Great getaway, Thanks Gallery Inn.
