Quiet, comfy, nestled in a quiet neighbourhood in the heart of Kingston. Mr Muir is a gentleman with a warm smile and passionate personality. He ensured that we were well taken care of. The place is clean and well kept. Will definitely recommend it to anyone who seeks privacy and the amenities of home.

I stayed at this apartment for my vacation 3 years in a row. It is very convenient, safe, & affordable. The staff is reliable, friendly and apartments are very clean. I would & have recommended these apartments to my family & friends . This apartment has become my favorite place to stay in Jamaica. The owners now know me by name. Its has always been a pleasure staying here. :-)

Peter and Rosa are wonderful and very helpful!!! The apartment was very centrally located, clean, well equipped and comfortable. Peter makes sure that all appliances are in working order prior to move in and he is very responsive if you have any questions. We were able to walk to supermarkets and to my alma Mater Ichs!! Other amenities were in walking distance but we chose to drive and could get to most attractions like Devon House within a 10 minute drive. We enjoyed our vacation tremendously and will definitely stay at this guest house again.

My experience while staying at this residency was great beyond my expectations. It was so peaceful and quiet and the scenary was just beautiful. Mr.Muir and Rosa were so kind and inviting. The condition on the apartment was tidy and well kept. My fiance and I felt right at home. I would recommend anyone to stay here.. I've only been away for 4 days, but I am already looking forward to returning in the near future.. Thank you Mr. Muir and Rosa for your great hospitality. See you guys soon God willing.

Mr Muir was very welcoming, the location was ideal, short distance into Kingston. The property was clean, safe, quiet and a good size.
I would stay there again and would definetly reccommend this to friends and family. -

I loved my stay here, nice & clean, hot water, safe, quiet, roof deck, veranda with cooking utilities. It was a place I can truly say I will venture back to stay over and over again when I visit Kingston Jamaica. The owner Peter was really cool, down to earth. He even took me to his other rental location in Ocho Rios which was another win win decision. I've been to Kingston, Jamaica numerous times, stayed at hotels, apartments, houses but this by far is the better in price, privacy and extended stay (week + ) or short stay. It's easier on the pockets and you're not getting short changed in any aspect. Air conditioned room or if you like that natural breeze just open the door & let it flow thru. The location is key, New Kingston is a 5-6 minutes ride a car, half a tree is 1 bus ride ( 2 minutes from here ) away 3-4 minutes. You can also walk to both locations 20-25 minute walk. It was my daily workout. lol.. Trust when I say this is a great place to rest your head at night and know you are safe & sound. You can even sleep with the door open, I did! I travel to party, enjoy the culture and the people. Please contact me with any questions if you need additional information. Trust it's a excellent pick!!! I had a fantastic time staying in Flat 1!! It was not small for me it was perfect.
It had everything that i needed in the apartment especially the aC, it was very clean and comfortable.
There were days that i woukd just stay in at watch Tv and at night time i felt very safe and secure.

I stayed with Peter from 1/26/2011 thru 2/04/2011.
The smaller flat is my favorite of the available flats here, and Peter is a nice man, who will do anything he can to help you out and make you feel at home.The location is secure, and central, so that moving throughout Kingston and Halfway Tree and New Kingston is easy. My only regret is that it took me so long to leave this review, so sorry for that Peter and Rosa! Just wanted to thank
you again for a wonderful time.
The only issues we had were that the internet service was down a fair amount of the time I was there...but otherwise, it was delightful. -

I stayed at Mr. Muir's place for two weeks with artists and their management from Poland. For the most of the time we occopied the whole house, all 3 apartments. I must say I will always like to return to this place - great location very close to the centre, quiet and safe place, comfort of stay, good welcome from the owner, everything was absolutely fantastic and I really liked this place. I can fully recommend this house and its owner. The best choice for Kingston, you can really feel there like at home. The owner is an interesting, nice gentleman who really takes care and is honest.

I stayed for over weeks in flat one it had everything i need wireless internet and cable tv, very important to me. the villa was very clean when I arrived, it was the perfect size for me and very comfortable,. In the day time the sunshines in when all the windows are open it has air condition and ceiling fans (which are very in important)and you can sit outisde in the front and just chill i love it. I had the opportunity to see the other villas but this one is the best. Home away from home is a correct statment, and as long as I can afford it, thats where i will always stay. Peter and his assistant are very nice and helpful. See you guys soon :)

Excellent Vacatin rental!!! I cannot say anything bad in this critique about Mr. Muir's properties. I can hionestly say that his home was a home away from home which I found very comfortable.
I stayed in both flat 1 for a week and the deluxe suite for a week, both are great and value for your money.
Flat 1 is yes smaller but was very comfortable and cosy. I could not complain. equipped with everything you need. My sister who I travelled with even passed the comment she would live there if necessary. The flat was secure and safe, leaving you no need to feel unprotected.
The deluxe suite where I stayed for another week was amazing!!! It had everything you could want. Very spacious and everything.
I have recommended place to my friends and definitely be using in the future.
Mr. Muir is easy going and not fussy at all and a excellent host.
I would like to Thank Mr. Muir and his assistant Rosa for their hospitality.
I enjoyed my time and hope to do business in the near future.

I would like to thank Brittany for an excellent review. She had to move to the more expensive deluxe suite because Flats 1 and 2 were reserved and occupied for her second week. I am pleased that she and her sister enjoyed their stay so much. The guests in Flat 2 remarked that they hosted a big party one night, disturbing their sleep and therefore should have invited them to the party!

As much as I would like to keep this little "gem" to myself- I have to consider the owner who was an excellent host! This little place is perfect for accomodating the short term and long term vacationer, it was fully equipped from the laundry basket in the bathroom to the cutlery in the kitchen. Excellent location, by bus less than five minutes from uptown Kingston! Taxis responded immediately! I was surprised that I did not need the air conditioning as the ceiling fans were very effecient!need I say more? loved it!! loved it!!

Mr. Peter Muir is a gracious host and we highly recommend booking accommodation at one of his flats if your travels take you to Kingston, Jamaica.

When I asked her for the dates she replied that she would advise me when she decided, and did not need a receipt since she trusted me! I insisted on giving her a receipt for future dates.

I stayed at Washington Court for a few months and the first representation of what my stay was going to be like was made through the owner, Mr. Muir. He is such an affable, reasonable man. First of all, the location and the price are unheard of! I was shocked with the combination of the two and thought surely the place would be a dump, but much to my pleasant surprise, the accommodations were very comfortable. The fixtures were not all updated but the flat was clean, fully equipped with a tele, a microwave, furniture, stove and all that jazz- once i got in there I was beyond pleased with my find. I had secure parking space and peace-of-mind-giving bars and grills!
Ideally located from pretty much everywhere you want to go in Kingston, it was 8 mins from new Kingston which is around the road from Mona, about 10-15 mins from cross roads and half way tree is right there...my stay was not only affordable but supremely practical for ups and downs. I would recommend this spot for a single person or a couple, its a bit tight for more people than that, though i had many fun nights with a bunch of my friends on the veranda. Also, enjoy the rarity of a good person in the owner, Mr. Muir- fair and jovial and not bothersome in the least!Response from Peter O Muir - 11/30/2010

i stayed at this location for a month and its was the best time i had in Jamaica since i,ve been going there. the house was clean and decent. with great service from peter and Rosa even the rastaman was a great help. staying there was great and well worth the money.
my daughter who a diabetes was look after with alot of comfort. peter don't give no problem he so down to earth he was like a father more than a landlord. i will be using them again no doubt i cant wait to go back there. i just want to say thank you for having us and were are mising you guys like crazy. tell Rosa to kiss her daughter for me. and to anyone lookng to stay there take my word for it u be more than happy there you won't be dissapointed. -

We came from a beach in English Harbour, Antigua so if I write about my feelings, well it felt like going into a prison. But that's the security measures you need to take in Kingston. And Security was good enough for me. Felt safe.
Fast web, cable tv, cooking, nice firm double bed, working airco. It's a good little base for Kingston.Peter and Rosa are two very special people who made us feel welcome and looked after us, Peter even brought in a new cooker just for us!
Amenities good nearby, try the Jerk Pork from the jerk shack just round the corner.

I did not request nor expect a review from Philip Dobbie. This review is wonderful particularly because Flat 2 was not yet ready and had not been rented before. There were no drapes, kitchen cupboards or adequate patio furniture and supplies. When he phoned he was arriving tomorrow when I would be away on the north coast. I advised him of the conditions but he insisted on coming. However, Philip and his Italian wife seemed quite at home and comfortable during their stay. My recent trip to Jamaica was wonderful. I stayed at Peter Muir's one bedroom apartment from 9/18 thru 9/24 with my other half. We were very comfortable and felt right at home. The one bedroom was equipped with several ceiling fans as well as an aC which kept us feeling quite cool, Cable and a kitchenette for cooking. I had access to a washing machine was most convenient as well. Peter was extremely helpful to us and very kind. I will definitely stay at this location once again.

This was a wonderful getaway. The property more than met my expectations. The area is in an upscale part of Kingston and because it is both commercial and residential I found it very easy to access my needs (grocery store and restaurants). The flat was lovely; very clean and cozy, with a modern flare. The fridge and stove were immaculate almost like brand new. It felt very homely. I like to cook so I took special notice of the pots. They were heavy duty none stick pots, nothing rusty or that you would not want to use.
The owner peter went the extra mile to accommodate me. I wanted a CD player and he brought one right over, I had clean sheets and towels, and most importantly I had my privacy. It is definitely a "must stay” and as for myself, I am definitely going to stay there again before year end.
