The cottage is in a brilliant position, 5 mins walk from the town. Its clean, warm and cosy, well equipped and has parking right outside the door, perfect!! We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Lobster Cottage. We sat having breakfast on the first morning watching the sea crashing against the jetty, but by the time we were ready to venture out it had calmed down and the Sun was shining. Ian's eateries & trip recommendations were spot on. I can still taste the Mussels and Chowder at the Bulman. Have already recommended this place to friends of ours. Thanks for the stay. I stayed here with my family my mother, my daughter, my sister and her 2 children came over from Scotland. Although we were six in all Ian ensured a extra bed and was very accommodating. The description of the cottage is very accurate. Its warm , it has all the facilities you need , it even has wifi if you cannot live without it. We felt comfortable as soon as we got there. The location is ideal its a short stroll from the centre of town, Its true although its quite near the road its not loud. There is parking right next to the cottage. We all loved it and hope that when we have another re-union the cottage is free so we can all meet here. Read more

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful, comfortable and very well equipped cottage. It is perfectly situated, overlooking the harbour in Kinsale with beautiful views and is close to the many wonderful restaurants in the town.
The house was very well presented and we had a warm welcome when we arrived, even though we were running an hour late. The cottage is very roomy with a well equipped kitchen and everything you need and expect when self catering.
Kinsale is a beautiful, unspoilt seaside village with gourmet restaurants, stunning views brimming with history. With so much to do, see and eat (!) we wish we had been able to stay longer.
Very highly recommended - we had a wonderful time and would definitely stay there again if we were visiting Kinsale again. Read more

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at 1 Lobster Cottages. It is in an excellent location just a short stroll into Kinsale, which is an idyllic town, and within easy driving distance of the scenic West Cork coastal route - the views from the cottage are beautiful. The cottage was perfect for our group, mum + 2 daughters in our 30s, it is in excellent condition with everything provided for, plus the owners Ian and Susie are there to welcome you and on hand should you need anything. We are already planning our trip back!! Read more

We stayed at 1 Lobster Cottage for a week last august.
It was just perfect. It was spotless, well equipped and 5 minute walk to the wonderful town of Kinsale.
We were welcomed by the owner Ian on arrival who proceeded to show us around the cottage as well as orientating us to the town of Kinsale.
The views out over the harbour from the cottage are lovely. We were blessed with the weather over our stay which allowed for lovely early morning walks along the water front.
A great week in a wonderful cottage.
I would highly recommend 1 Lobster Cottages as a holiday destination. Read more

A lovely, clean very well equiped cottage. Plenty of information regarding the area, its history and the local amenities could be found in the information pack left in the cottage by the owner Ian, who was very pleasant, and accomodating. The cottage was like home from home in a perfect location for getting around, the village centre only a 5 minute walk away. We were very luck to have a cold but sunny long weekend, but as cold as it was the cottage was very well heated, with a gas fire in the lounge and storage heaters in all the rooms, we were very toasty after a long day out. Although out of the main holiday season some shops where closed, there was still plenty to do and see in this lovely town, and the surrounding area. We ate at some lovely places and with the local fish and chip van providing an excellent fish and chip supper, we did not take advantage of the excellently equipped kitchen. This cottage and the village was a perfect location.
If i have to find a fault it would be the lack of outdoor space, which as it was February, and cold, was not a problem for our party, 3 adults a 3 year old and an 18 month old, but had it been in the summer, and after putting the children to bed we wanted to sit outside and enjoy the view with a glass of wine there was no outdoor space to do this.
