      Perfect long weekend

Left on 05/20/2013 for a stay in May 2013

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at 1 Lobster Cottages. It is in an excellent location just a short stroll into Kinsale, which is an idyllic town, and within easy driving distance of the scenic West Cork coastal route - the views from the cottage are beautiful. The cottage was perfect for our group, mum + 2 daughters in our 30s, it is in excellent condition with everything provided for, plus the owners Ian and Susie are there to welcome you and on hand should you need anything. We are already planning our trip back!!

Left on 03/11/2013 for a stay in August 2012

We stayed at 1 Lobster Cottage for a week last august.
It was just perfect. It was spotless, well equipped and 5 minute walk to the wonderful town of Kinsale.
We were welcomed by the owner Ian on arrival who proceeded to show us around the cottage as well as orientating us to the town of Kinsale.
The views out over the harbour from the cottage are lovely. We were blessed with the weather over our stay which allowed for lovely early morning walks along the water front.
A great week in a wonderful cottage.
I would highly recommend 1 Lobster Cottages as a holiday destination.

      Fantastic

Left on 02/27/2013 for a stay in February 2013

A lovely, clean very well equiped cottage. Plenty of information regarding the area, its history and the local amenities could be found in the information pack left in the cottage by the owner Ian, who was very pleasant, and accomodating. The cottage was like home from home in a perfect location for getting around, the village centre only a 5 minute walk away. We were very luck to have a cold but sunny long weekend, but as cold as it was the cottage was very well heated, with a gas fire in the lounge and storage heaters in all the rooms, we were very toasty after a long day out. Although out of the main holiday season some shops where closed, there was still plenty to do and see in this lovely town, and the surrounding area. We ate at some lovely places and with the local fish and chip van providing an excellent fish and chip supper, we did not take advantage of the excellently equipped kitchen. This cottage and the village was a perfect location.

If i have to find a fault it would be the lack of outdoor space, which as it was February, and cold, was not a problem for our party, 3 adults a 3 year old and an 18 month old, but had it been in the summer, and after putting the children to bed we wanted to sit outside and enjoy the view with a glass of wine there was no outdoor space to do this.

This is a good place to stay. The house was charming and well equipped.
We were very grateful for the extra effort made to accommodate our late arrival and it was a delight to settle down and enjoy the cottage, the scenery and the town of Kinsale.
      Thanks to Ian and Susie.

Lovely cottage, great views, close to the heart of Kinsale

Left on 07/31/2012 for a stay in July 2012

We rented 1 Lobster Cottage in Kinsale for 1 week for 3 people as we wanted to have a relaxing week off. We were the first people to rent the cottage for a short break after a long term rental of 2 years, and owners Ian and Susie had just refurbished the cottage. They also made sure that the kitchen was very well equipped. The house is clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay there.
The house is next to the river Bandon and it has great views with a lot of boats and wildlife passing by. The only drawback may be the traffic as the house is on a relatively busy road, but it didn't bother us at all.
It's only a 5-10 minute walk from the cottage to the historic and picturesque centre of Kinsale with its many pubs and restaurants.
