Additional Location Information
Decidedly un-touristy, the area around Kato Samiko is one of the best-kept secrets of the Peloponnesus. The beach is vast, stretching out over 100 km in an unbroken curve of golden sand, backed by sand dunes and pine forest, without any major developments or resorts-you can normally find your own private stretch of beach without difficulty. Ancient sites include Olympia (25 km), The Temple at Vassai (30 km), the hot springs and spa at Kaiafas (3 km), as well as a wealth of smaller archaeological sites including our own Acropolis, just 2 km away. Shop at local markets in Zacharo (12 km) or Krestena (8 km), or the city of Pyrgos (25 km). Mountain walks and superb cycling and mountain-biking routes abound, and island-hopping day-trips to Zakinthos or Kefalonia from Kylini (50 km) for those who wish to see more than just the Peloponnesus. Virtually all the main archaeological sites of Greece are reachable by car, with the new bridge across the Gulf of Corinth making even Delphi accessible.

Weil am Rhein, GermanyA lovely quiet place with very friendly people!

The landscape and view to the sea is great. Just far away of village and road to be very quiet. The beach is wonderfull and just a few minutes by car or a bit more by bicycle. Bycicles are available. The people are very friendly, have a lot of helpfull hints, live close by the house and far away to guarantee your own privacy. The house is very clean (all rooms and kitchen!) and comfortable (very good mattress for a recreative and relaxing sleep, dvd-player, etc.) A great terrace with flowers and shadow completes the house and the natural surrounding area. The only points not comfortable: Last few meters to the house are unpaved road, but common in Greece. Internet access could be difficult/slow.

Milton KeynesWow ! peaceful, beautiful setting, escape from the rat race.

very comfortable, everything we needed was at hand. The house is in the most secluded location giving us a break from the madness of life. Made to feel very welcome and hosts available for anything we needed and information about local amenities. But left us to enjoy our stay without being bothered, having reassured us that they were on hand should we need them.
Excellent beaches nearby, lovely local town and villages offering everything we needed.
Wished we had booked longer as our little break went too quick. We recharged ourselves ready for more of the rat race, but want to re visit again this year if they have availability and maybe will take friends with us next time. I have a feeling we will return again and again...its that sort of place and just what we need.
