This comfortable property is a stone-built, character cottage with lovely countryside views, providing accommodation for up to four people. Designed around a courtyard, this thoughtfully converted farm building has been finished to a high standard. The accommodation is all on ground level and open plan, making it light and airy. The well-equipped and modern kitchen has a generous dining area which leads to the warm and snug sitting area with its log effect electric fire and French doors opening onto a private garden. The two bedrooms feature a stone wall and are decorated in a tranquil and pleasing style. There is a modern ‘wet room...217; style shower room, perfect for a refreshing morning shower to wake up for a day’s activities. The cottage has beautiful oak floors and combines contemporary features with traditional styling to make this a great property for a holiday in this spectacular area.

Amenities: Oil central heating with electric stove in sitting area. Electric oven & hob, worksurfaces with run under areas for wheelchair users. Microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, TV/DVD, WiFi, stereo/CD, selection of books/games/DVDs. Washing machine & dryer available in separate shared utility area on site. Region: The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Town: The delightful old market town of Kirkbymoorside lies on the edge of The North Yorks Moors National Park between the towns of Helmsley and Pickering. The town has a broad, cobbled main street and it is bordered by beautiful Georgian houses and other historic buildings. There have been two castles in the town over the years and small remains can still be seen in the area. Stones from one of the castles were used in the building of the Toll House, which can be found in the centre of the town. The town has a variety of shops and eateries, and locals and visitors can enjoy the delights of the Wednesday Market. Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.   We really enjoyed our stay at the Cottage. The owners were really helpful and very welcoming. The garden was the best bit for us! We could have stayed out there all day if it wasnt for the rain we probably would have done! We loved the surrounding area, so much so we felt completely at home even after just one week of staying there. We would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to escape for a week and have peace and quiet and relaxtion.

  This was mine and my husbands first stay in East Yorkshire, my parents had been a lot and wanted to show us some of their favoutrite places. We could not have chosen a better place to stay, we were within easy reach of the moors and fantastic coastline. The cottage, converted stables, was lovely very comfortable. There was a tea tray and the most delicious home-made cake waiting for our arrival. Mr and Mrs Lee were really friendly and my father, a keen gardener, enjoyed a tour of thier garden. I did an on-line shop with Tesco prior to our arrival and this worked really well, arriving five minutes after us! A great holiday was had by all!

  Lovely cottage in a super place. We loved the walks in the area and were really lucky with fab weather which added to our stay. The cottage was well equipped but lacked a few mod-cons (like somewhere to play music which worked!) The bathroom needed a bit of tlc but bedrooms were lovely and the rest of the cottage fine - we particularly liked the pigs in the next field!!

  The accommodation was quiet and peaceful. The owner was friendly and helpful. The scenery was breathtaking. There was a huge choice of things to do and places to see. If walking is your interest then it is a wonderful place but just as good for a relaxing break, plenty of shops,and museums etc.
