This spacious duplex apartment in Kirkbymoorside sleeps six people in three bedrooms. Rooftops is a comfy duplex apartment in a Georgian building in the heart of the market town of Kirkbymoorside. The apartment has three bedrooms on the second floor - a double with en-suite basin/WC, and 2 twin bedrooms. There is also a family bathroom on this floor. On the first floor is a well-equipped kitchen, a dining room, and sitting room with electric fire. Outside, parking can be found on the roadside, and there is a rooftop terrace for guests to relax on. Rooftops makes a very convenient base for families or friends to enjoy so much of the area, fro...m abbeys and castles to railways, markets and of course, stunning scenery.

Amenities: Gas central heating with electric fire in sitting room. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher. Washing machine and tumble dryer in utility. 2 x TVs with Freeview, DVD, radio, WiFi, small selection of books, games and DVDs. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair on request. Roadside parking outside property (first come, first served basis). Rear rooftop terrace. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 1 min walk. Note: Apartment is accessed via one flight of internal stairs.

Region: The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Town: Positioned on the edge of the North York Moors National Park and set between Helmsley and Pickering is the attractive market town of Kirkbymoorside. Full of traditional Yorkshire buildings, this pretty town is the centre for all local farms and villages. Visitors to this lovely settlement will find a variety of tea-rooms, pubs and restaurants in addition to a number of high quality antique shops. There is also a market every Wednesday. Nearby Pickering is also worth visiting as the base of the North York Moors Steam Railway. With excellent walking and cycling routes though the magnificent scenery of the National Park, in addition to villages of Hutton le Hole and Lastingham all within easy driving distance, visitors to Kirkbymoorside will be spoiled for choice.Read more

Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  We had a wonderful time in Rooftops- the owners were very friendly and the flat offered everything you could wish for-household equipement as well as games and dvds for the children.The rooms were pretty and cosy and we had a lot of things to see- James Herriot World in Thirsk or a very interesting tour on the North Yorkshire Moor Railway.We never had such a nice stay before!
