I stayed here for 2 nights (10-6-12 to 10-8-12). Check in was fast and the check in location was not too far from the rental. Upon entering Windsor Hill you need to go through security they give you a parking pass you need to use to get in and out of the complex. The two days i was there they were having issues with this system and a guard was scanning your passes for you. I had booked a 2 bedroom condo, not knowing what to expect, I was impressed with our accomodations. We actually received a 3 bedroom unit on the first floor. The condo was simaliar to others i have rented in Ocean City Maryland. It was clean, it was not a 5 star resort nor was i looking for it to be. There were some little things that could be corrected, the towel rack in the second bathroom kept falling off the wall and the one bedroom did not have a remote to the TV. The unit we were in had a very old door knob and locking mechanism, I was somewhat concerned with that but we were only staying 2 nights and figured we were in a gated community so we should be fine. The price we paid was great and would not hesitate to use Palm Tree Vacations again in the future.

My family enjoyed everything about our stay. The 2 bedroom unit was spacious, very clean when we arrived; well stocked with dishes, towels, 3 TVs, and plenty of linens. The security was excellent at the gate and the complex was very quiet. The pool was very comfortable. The location was a short drive to all the parks. The price was roughly 100.00 a night. Why stay in a small hotel room when you can stay in a gated complex with spacious condos?

The master bedroom doorknob fell off when we arrived..none of the lights in the kids room worked ..no cable for kids room and the DVD player was broke so the cute Mickey TV was useless...plastic pieces of trash were all inside the pool..more we took out they just kept floating up...wish it had a lockbox..but besides that it was fine..we did call mngmt Co.about all above didn't want to get charged for anything but didn't see how these things weren't checked before arrival..

Service is good, but could be better, the home was completed and all the equipment worked very well, the location was a bit fareway.
The best was the pool, my children play there, and the least was the location, because my wife had to take a taxi to move while we went to disney with my children -

Left on 01/10/2012 for a stay in December 2011
I was skeptical about renting a home for such a low price per night, assuming there must be some 'catch' - but this place was absolutely beautiful!! The condo itself was lovely and well equipped. The pool area was resort-quality. The key pick up and drop off process was simple and close to the condo. We had 4 adults and a toddler and, since the place was so close to Disney, we easily went back and forth for naps as needed. Also, prior to our trip, one of the adults was injured in a car accident. The folks at Palm Tree made sure we had a ground floor unit to accommodate wheelchair access. Could not have been a better experience!

Left on 01/09/2012 for a stay in November 2011
We are so glad that we decided to stay at Windsor hills, and extremely happy that we decided to book through Palm tree vacations!!!. It was extremely important to us that we choose a unit that was located in building 8 (closest to the pool/clubhouse) and also to be on the ground floor. Not only were we just steps from the pool/clubhouse, the condo itself was very comfortable and inviting. It was an absolute bonus being only 3 minutes to Disney!!! The condo far exceeded our expectations. Picking up the keys from Palm tree was a breeze!! Only 2 minutes from the Condo!!
Even though we had 2 weeks in Orlando, it just didn't seem to be enough . During our stay we used 9 of our days visiting all of the parks (some twice)and our legs were burning each day from all of the walking. Thank goodness for the pool and hot tub!! Each night we would take our kids to the pool so they could enjoy a nightly swim, and soon after we would kick back, relax and soothe our tired legs in the hot tub .
Our trip may be over, but we will never forget the fun and excitement of our fabulous vacation!!! We just can't wait to start planning for our return in 2012. We definitely will be contacting Palmtree to reserve 2 more weeks in the same beautiful condo.
Thank you for being a part of our "Magical Dream Vacation!!”

We had a wonderful time staying at the beautiful, comfortable second floor condo at Windsor Hills near Disney. We walked to the zero entry pool and clubhouse which was very convenient. My kids enjoyed the bunk beds. Some kitchen pans and bowls need to be replaced. And the carpet was worn out, but that didn't put a damper on our experience. In fact we would stay there again in the future!

Left on 12/21/2011 for a stay in November 2011
I liked the Windsor Hills community a lot, because the gate and the people manning the gate made us feel very safe. The pool was lovely and my daughter loved the giant slide. The apartment was well equipped, comfortable, and restful. My only complaint was that the cookware was all nonstick (I don't use nonstick cookware) and kind of scratched up. But we didn't really do much cooking anyway. My only other complaint was that there were some people smoking at the pool area and I don't think that should be allowed in the enclosed pool area. But it was brief.

Left on 12/21/2011 for a stay in November 2011
Again, I loved the place, the experience for the family was wonderful, but there were a lot of roaches. This really needs to get under control. It leaves a bad first impression and the explanation found in the guide book stating, "This is Florida, there are insects common to the area..." Sorry that's unacceptable. I lived in Orlando for 2 years and we did not have a roach problem. That being said, I can tolerate that sort of thing, but having a wife and 2 girls who cannot tolerate them is problematic.

Condos were very nice. My only problem was with the company not letting me know until a few days prior to our arrival date and after they had received the final payment due for the condos that our requested accommodations would not be able to be met. Needless to say, I had some very upset travelers, as well as me. Ptvh's prices were higher than others. Even though it's advertised that the condos have towels provided, not all of them did--we had to go purchase either additional or all extra towels, so bring some with you.

We enjoyed our stay at Windsor Hills. The price was perfect, and allowed us to save more money to spend making sure the children had a great time at Disney and other nearby amusement parks. The value for the location and amenities was unbelievable. The condo was very clean. The only things that were not cleaned = the coffee pot, shower curtain, and the baby's highchair in the unit. That coffee pot clearly has not been cleaned in 5 to 10 years. It was very disgusting! But again, everything else was perfect! We had an issue with the tv remote controls in the unit, and when we called the maintenance crew - they were there very quickly to repair them. The guard stand staff was very cordial, accommodating, and helped us feel secure on the property as well.

I would definitely recommend Palm Tree Vacation rental to my friends and family. I needed to rent six units for my group, Palm Tree was able to provide all with nice units and a great price. The one thing I didn't like was the linens (mainly the towels) did not in the best condition. I did not feel comfortable using them, so I had to buy my own. Windsor Hills Resort was beautiful, for the price we paid can't beat the accommodations. It was only a five minute drive to Disney. All in all, it was a very good experience.

Left on 08/04/2011 for a stay in July 2011
Within 4 hours of walking through the front door my wife and I had killed about 8 roaches (with others escaping). The place had not been cleaned properly: Hair on the bed linens, used tin foil in the outdoor grill, beer cans, cigar and cigaratte butts by the splash pool, dirt on the rugs and carpet, etc. The safety screen for the splash pool did not close entirely thereby defeating the purpose of setting it up to keep our toddler safe. The list goes on.
The until was recleaned the next day but we still found roaches throughout the week. I've stayed in many rental homes, and condos in Orlando over the years and never once had to kill a roach or call to have the cleaning service come back. We always look for something different to try and have stayed at some wonderful places.
I would not recommend Windsor Hills or any unit maintained through Palm Tree Vacations to any of my friends.Response from Palm Tree Vacation Homes - 08/29/2011

Clearwater, FLHassle!
Left on 07/22/2011 for a stay in June 2011
Check in and check out are a hassle. Palm Tree's office is probably 6 to 7 traffic-filled miles from the house. There is a form that has to be filled in and returned within 24 hours and the keys have to be returned to the office when leaving. We were headed in the opposite direction and it was a hassle to get the keys back to the office. It would be so much easier if the keys could just be left in the house when checking out.
The pool water was cold and the bottom of the pool was dirty so we did not swim. Internet was advertised but not wireless.
There were a few problems that were promptly addressed the next day.
Overall, the house and furnishings are nice but the hassle with checking in and out did not make for a good start.Response from Palm Tree Vacation Homes - 07/22/2011

Windsor Hills was an excellant place to stay. They condo had everything we needed and was located close to a store where we could pick up items not in the room. The location was great and we were able to get to the malls and parks with ease. I only had two complaints, the first being that the rental office was not near the resort. We left at 5am and had to drive out of our way to drop off the key. And second getting out of the resort was kind of difficult with traffic coming in both directions. I would highly recommend Windsor resorts and plan to stay there again.

This is a nice place. My husband and I came with our three kids, my parents and my brother. It was great that the kids had their own room. We were extremely close to Disney and saved money by cooking our own meals in the kitchen. The condo was clean and i even let my kids walk around the floors in bare feet! (something I never do in hotels) Although we didn't use the pool (we were busy doing Disney activities) it was very clean and the slide was great. I would recommend this condo to anyone! Melbourne, AustraliaBest accomodation closest to Disney
Left on 01/06/2011 for a stay in December 2010
Arriving in Orlando after 3 days of travelling from australia we picked up our hire car from the airport and then found our way to pick up our keys from the rental agency. That was not an easy feat, as we drive on the "right" side of the road and not used to 8 lane "roads/highways". We used the GPS and made it in record time to Windsor Hills Estate and the apartment which we had previously booked.
The apartment was on the 4th floor overlooking the volleyball courts to our left and other apartments to our right. The three bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment was exactly what we hoped for. Clean, great furniture & accessories and extremely welcoming beds! The estate has it's own pool and water slide. Unfortunately, the water slide was being repainted at the time so it was out of action. Actually, we hit the coldest days on record in Florida, so who needed a pool !!
The estate is situated within a 5 mins drive to the Disneyworld turn off. I must say, after looking up and down the highway 129, we chose the perfect place to stay. There are plenty of excellent restaurants on the highway, well priced and a great variety of cuisines.
My only critisim was that the sheets on the beds were obviously not changed since the previous guests had stayed - I found a few hairs on the pillow cases and they werent "crisp" - you know what I mean.
Overall, we would stay in this apartment again in a heart beat and highly recommend it to any one who wants to stay at an extremely reasonably price place so close to the "Parks". -

Windsor Hills is a beautiful resort with excellent amenities. Our major complaint was with the supplies in the townhouse. There were no extra towels, bedding, toilet paper, garbage bags, paper towels and a host of other items. We at least left it in better condition than we found it.
Whebn we brought these deficiencies to the attention of the rental agent we were told that was the way they kept the prices down. Not a satisfactory answer! You do not keep your prices in line with demand by sacrificing service!Response from Palm Tree Vacation Homes - 01/12/2011

Thanks for your response, we always appreciate the feedback! We are very sorry that you feel that it was poorly supplied. Left on 12/05/2010 for a stay in November 2010
We enjoyed staying in a home with so much space where everyone would have his/her own room. What a treat compared to a cramped hotel room. I was surprised that it truly was very close to Disney. Also, the zero depth entry pool was nice for our younger kids.
We were disappointed that we paid a cleaning fee when the home itself was not very clean upon our arrival. We found peanuts on the carpet of one bedroom and remnants of a diaper change on the carpet of a different bedroom. We were left a nicely folded dishtowel in the kitchen that had matted lint/strings in it, but we were given no washcloths for the bathrooms because they were "not hygienic." (??) When I informed the man at the check-in office, he seemed indifferent to my concerns.
I would be very interested in checking out a different unit within the Windsor Hills Resort, managed by a different company. I would not stay here again.
Response from Palm Tree Vacation Homes - 01/12/2011

Thanks for your response, we always appreciate the feedback! We are very sorry that the cleaning was up to standard and we wish you'd have notified us promptly, so we were given the chance to make right. Washclothes are very unhygienic, having seen people wash cars, bbq with them, seen them caked in makeup, and other stuff. We just feel a washcloth is a personal item, similar to that of a toothbrush. Left on 11/24/2010 for a stay in November 2010
We stayed in a spacious three-bedroom three-bathroom townhouse at Windsor Hills Resort for a very reasonable price (partly due to it being the off-season). It worked out very well for us and our two teenagers, who each had their own bathroom! The pool (which is beautiful) and clubhouse were only a four-minute walk away, and we also used the fitness centre. They have a fairly well-stocked DVD rental machine at the clubhouse and a small movie theatre, although we didn't watch any movies there.
All in all, it was a great experience. -

Thanks for your response, we always appreciate the feedback! We spent our entire week at the Disneyworld Theme Parks and Water Parks. The location at the Windsor Hills condos was an excellenr choice. On most days, it was a 10 minute drive to the Disneyworld entrances. The gated community. pool and clubhouse are excellent amenities. On the downside is the return of the rental form to the office. If you arrive when the office is closed, then the form has to be completed and returned in two days to the office. We found this to be a time waster. A suggestion would be to provide a box to deposit the form at the Winsor Hills clubhouse. Other small improvements in service would be better trah collection and aadditional face soap amd dishwasher cleaner

Thanks for your response, we always appreciate the feedback! Under the license we need for vacation homes, we are required to have a check-in office, and technically going straight to the condo is not allowed. Unfortunately, many people break this rule, whereas we just try to follow the license requirements. Also, the form you speak are also required by the state. Our office is only 7/8 mins from Windsor Hills.
Unfortunatly a drop box at Windsor Hills wouldn't work as its not that kind of resort, all the condo are privatly owned and run by management companies, so they would need hundreds of drop boxes.
Thanks again and come back and see us soon! -

We stayed at Windsor Hills in Mid October. The condo was very cleand and nicely decorated. We were fortunate to be close to the pool which was very nice. Loved that the front desk was available until 10pm. The entrance is under construction and you do have to wait to be allowed in the gates which is fine if their isn't someone in the wrong lane with guestions which can hold you up... just a minor annoyance that happened twice during our stay. My husband used the gym and said that it was adequate since he only wanted to use the treadmill and the hot tub was clean and warm. It is also a straight run from the office where you have to pick up the key so it wasn't really inconvenient having to stop for the key. There is every chain restaurant near by along with the grocery store, walgreens and a million gift shops. Windsor Hills does not provide transportation to the parks but they will give you the number to a service who can provide transportation, we drove to the parks. Overall it was a very nice stay and we would use them again.

The Windsor Hills community is extremely close to Disney and the particular condo we rented was in the closest building to the pool. So, altogether our location was very convenient. The condo was really clean and comfortably furnished. Everyone having their own bedroom was worth the extra money and still way cheaper than staying in a hotel on Disney property. The only pain in the neck was we arrived in Orlando late and had to pick up the keys from a lock box at the rental office and then return there the next day to drop off a rental form. If I had been told this in advance I would have filled out the form in the car before going to the condo because this was out of our way the next day.

we enjoyed the stay, the condo offered alot of amenities including proximity to the parks. overall we are pleased with the investment and experience. the downside: killed two huge roaches within an hour of arrival, found the fire alarms were missing in places (we think the roaches ate them), very few linens / wash clothes / soap, etc (didnt expect this), the main pool / water slide area was very nice, felt very secure with the guarded entrance!

The condo we had was lovely. Everything was clean and there were plentiful of towels. It was very roomy. We weren't too far from the pool. The kids loved the pool, especially the waterslide. The entrance to Disney is literally a few minutes away.
My only complaint would be there wasn't any dish detergent and some of the basic condiments. I know this is picky but we arrived late and wanted a cold drink and there were no ice cubes.
We plan on coming back -

If you do not desire to lodge at a Disney Resort, then Windsor Hills may be the place for you. Extremely close to all of the Disney Parks and other local attractions. Tons of stores near by as well. For the price, it cannot be beat. Pool looked nice, but we honestly did not have time to use it due to a busy Disney schedule. Booking the condo was super easy, and communication was excellent. Our only gripe regarding the interior of the condo would be the carpeted dining area. A very light carpet + kids = disaster. Overall, nice place for the money and you cannot beat the location!

The mattress on the fold out couch was so bad we put it on the living room floor with stacked blankets on top for my daughter. I was dead tired by the end of the week

We stayed in a 3 bedroom towne home that was nice. Nicely decorated the normal ementities were included. A Down side for us was we had the tube tv's in all the rooms. Where as the other 2 towne homes that we rented during this stay for the rest of our group all had flat screen tv's. I found some trash from a previous guest on the coffe table next to the sofa. Other than that it was a nice place to stay. We enjoyed our stay. The house was close to all the places we went. The bathrooms were very clean. The people at the gate were awesome!! So helpful with whatever questions we had, always waving and nice. The pool at the club house was soo nice. I loved that children could walk in and it didnt get to deep to fast. That area was so nice. The movie theather and game area was an awesome addition.

Columbus, OhioWonderful Vacation Rental
Left on 10/06/2010 for a stay in September 2010
My parents, my three adult siblings, our two children, and I all (8 people in total) stayed at this condo from September 26 through October 2. When we first walked into the condo, we were completely thrilled by how clean and comfortable the place looked. We had no issues while we were there. The condo is within a very close proximity to the Disney parks, and it is easy to get to a grocery store, Target, and Wal-Mart. We've decided that every trip to Orlando will include a stay at Windsor Hills (and hopefully this same unit). The complex is clean and in a gated community. The pool is clean and fun for all ages. My dad even took advantage of the workout facilities a few times. It just was a great place to stay.
Our only issue came with check-in. The directions given to the Palm Vacation offices are somewhat incomplete in that they don't detail exactly where the office is. The road that the directions tell you to turn onto doesn't exist (or at least we never saw the road sign). We drove up and down 192 a few times trying to find the office. Once we did, we had no problems getting checked in. In fact, we were there at 3 pm and even though check-in didn't officially begin until 4, the guy in the office let us go ahead and have our key and check-in. This was great for us, since we drove 17 hours through the night before to get down there and had already been walking around Disney since 7 am that day.
Anyway, will definitely recommend to others and will definitely stay again! Thanks so much!! -

We stayed at Windsor Hills resort. The location to Disney was fabulous. It took us no more than 5-10 minutes to get there. The amenities were also great (minus the love-bugs that were in swarming season). We had an issue with a chain broken in one of the toilets, and the problem was solved promtply while we spent the day at Universal Studios. My family loved our vacation!

I have been visiting Florida since 2000 every year. This was the first time I saw bugs in a resort. I noticed them on the wall in the hallway. My friends had them in their condo one level lower. Not a good thing! Yes I know it's Florida! But I categorize this as a poor management. -

I liked the townhouse and felt that it was a very fair deal for the price paid. It was certainly roomy and clean. The things that I did not like were the private pool (too dirty to swim in), the check in and check out (too far from the property) and the need to rent a card that provided access to the pool, game room etc. Most bothersome, however, were the repeated reminders/notices etc. about how we could get fined i.e. turn up the air conditioner, didn't remove items, flushed things in the toilet etc. It was everywhere and detracted from an environment that, overall, was very pleasant.

We are a family with 3 kids and it was the perfect size for us. There is a bathroom for every bedroom and a tv in each bedroom. The house was clean and very close to the club house and pool (the kids loved the slide there). It was a short drive to Disney. On the second morning we discovered that our toaster wasn't working. I left a message with the management office and went out for the day. Upon our return we found a brand new toaster on the kitchen counter.

Thank you for a wonderful stay at the Windsor Hills Resort. Our apartment was lovely and just as described and was excellent value for money. It had all the facilities we needed for our stay in Orlando to be perfect. The cleanliness was excellent and we felt very welcomed by the nice touches around the apartment with the towel arrangements and table dressing. The resort was quiet and felt safe, security was good and was reassuring to have someone on the gate at all times. We would stay in this resort again and would recommend friends and family to stay here. Thank you for a wonderful stay from booking right through to check out.

While our rental townhouse was an overall good value, it was sparsely decorated, not super clean, and the beds were cheap, noisy, and very uncomfortable. The location is great, and our townhouse was close to the clubhouse, which has a great pool. Also very close to the Disney parks and the expressway for an easy drive to Universal. While we will likely stay in Windsor Hills again, we will not stay in the same unit. Ask for testimonials before you commit to a particular unit based solely on what you see on the website - looks can be deceiving.

The resort was very comfortable. Big enough for our family of 6. The check in office to get the keys took us 30 minutes to find because there was no sign and the directions did not show us the road the buisness was on. also, our door handle didnt not work and was hard to get in (you had to wiggle the handle and push the door in really hard to open it) other than that, the stay was enjoyable; the pool was amazing. We would definitly come there again, hopefully next summer. overall it was excellent! you have a great buisness and we enjoyed the resort :)

We have stayed at Windsor Hills in the past and like the location, close to Disney and outlet malls. The resort itself is very child friendly and we enjoyed the community pool. The townhouse we stayed at was generally well equipped and the children (3&5) enjoyed the splash pool and character decorations. The bed in master was somewhat hard and the carpets are starting to show signs of wear, they could probably use a good steam cleaning - other than that it suited our 3 night stay.

Clifton Park, NYDirty Condo Palm Tree Rental Not Respectable
Left on 08/20/2010 for a stay in July 2010
When arriving in our condo, I was shocked to see it so filthy. The rug had huge stains and the toilet and Shower (main bedroom) were filthy! The worst of all was the filter to the air conditioner - it was grey! When I phoned to have someone come to clean, they sent someover but only cleaned the shower, toilet! I had to phone 2 other times before someone came to change filter! And the person that came was annoyed, instead of apologizing for the delay and the condition of the filter, he acted we were the problem. The rug was never vaccumed nor cleaned. Plus, cigarette butts were in the screened in area! The next time I stay here I will not go through Palm Tree rental agency, I don't believe they care enough about hiring cleaning people that clean! I would however stay at Windsor hills! It is a beautiful community and sooo close to Disney

The condo was clean, comfy, and in a great location off rte. 192. Renters might like to know that Diane and Jerry's 2 bedroom condo had hairdryers in both bathrooms and dish and laundry detergent (I wasn't sure if these would be in the condo, but they were!). Size and comfort was great. Very let down with bathroom and kitchen furnishings. Unit had 2 half rolls of tissue paper, crumbly tiny bar soap and only bathtowels. No hand towels or wash cloths. Kitchen linens smelled sour. Kitchen untensils were very basic and cheap. Dishwasher soap left behind from prior tenant. Promoted as a vacation home, it was quite disappointing that the basics one would even find in an inexpensive hotel were not provided. Having to purchase these missing items was a real pain.
