The Emerald Island Haven suited our family of fourteen perfectly. The location was ideal for visiting Disney World, which was our main reason for traveling from Michigan to Florida.
We arrived the day after Christmas and our six grandchildren were delighted to find personalized stockings waiting for them. What a nice touch!
Villa Direct was very responsive to a couple of problems that we encountered with the house.

Everything about the holiday was excellent from picking up the keys through to the end of our week at which point no one wanted to leave.
The house location is great, close to all the attractions of Orlando yet quiet if you just want to swim or sit outdoors.

The home was so immaculate and the rooms were decorated so nicely. The home was so spacious and no one wanted to leave at the end of the stay! The Villa Direct team are so great to work with and were always available to answer questions and prepare us for our vacation. The lay a way plan was a great idea because it gives alot of families time to pay. I have recommended Villa Direct to others and my family and I would stay at one of their resort homes again in the future.

The property could have been cleaner throughout and does suffer from wear and tear.
A lack of cooking trays etc for the oven.

Thanks for your review of Emerald Island Haven, following your stay in late August 2010.
We are sorry that you felt that this home was not cleaned to a high enough standard and that it suffers from wear and tear. Following your review, we performed a detailed inspection. Each property is subjected to a deep clean at least once per year and the homes are also cleaned immediately after a guests departure. We have forwarded your comments regarding the lack of cookware to the owner for them to replenish the cookeware, utensils and kitchenware for future guests.
As you say, we responded to your calls on consecutive days regarding the pool. Unfortunately, some guests don't realize that in Florida, sand in the corners of the pool does not indicate a dirty pool. When it rains, the sand that sits on the top of the pool enclosure is washed in to the pool, and then gradually goes in to the drain. As you are aware from the pool technician, on both visits the pool was found to have no particulate matter and was also chemically balanced.

This was our first family holiday in a private villa - and certainly will not be our last! We will have no hesitation in returning.
Our children 11, 8 and 3 were blown away with the pool area, which was private enough for even me to don my bikini!!
We had hours of fun in the games room too.
Spotless, well decorated, superbly located - we couldn't have asked for more! The pictures don't really enable you to gain a full appreciation of the place.
