We have been to Orlando/Kissimmee many times before but in the past have always stayed at a good hotel. This time we decided to stay for a few days at Scotch Corner on our way south. What a great decision that was! The house is beautiful, and the location was perfect.We were delighted to find such a peaceful, well appointed and lovely home, with all the theme parks and attractions on the doorstep. Thanks Paul and amanda for allowing us to stay in your lovely home.. we most certainly plan to return!

My family and I have traveled to Florida several times and it is always an enjoyable holiday for all of us - but the right place to have your base during your stay can make all of the difference. I can certainly say Scotch Corner was the best base!
The house was perfectly located a mere 15 mins away from all of the Disney action including Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Downtown Disney for some evening entertainment. For a step out of the Disney bubble Universal Studios, Prime Outlets and International Drive itself were only a 5min drive further - all this within close reach of a peaceful location where my family and I were more than happy to spend some of our days relaxing by the sun-trapped pool.
In addition, I cant say how relieved I was to be able to run around the corner to Walmart and grab the essentials upon arriving in Kissimee - what a convenience! The 192 is a great link to anywhere you want to get to easily in Florida.
The house itself is the ideal balance between luxury and comfort. It was so nice to come to a home from home where my family could feel comfortable to live yet still treated by our surroundings. It's little touches like the well considered decor which set this home apart from the rest.
All of our requirements (even ones we didnt think of) were met without question - from a childs car seat waiting for us; to toys for the pool; to maps and directories to every theme park and mall we could think of in the area!

Nothing More Then Basic Lodging

This was basic lodging. The descriptions on this property are misleading. We were only able to take advantage of the pool for one day of our stay because the pool turned green due to a filter problem. The outdoor grill in the description is misleading. It was not gas or charcol. It was an electric fry grill. As a person that grills often this was very disappointing. The property provided only small hand soap patties and only one roll of tp per bathroom. We had to provide our own bath soap and shampoo. We also purchased tp and dish soap. These are items that should be provided. The aC worked well. The carpet in the property was filthy and need cleaning very badly. The tiled areas were kept cleaner then the carpeted area. We enjoyed our time in the Orlando area but if we decide to return we will seek other lodging in the area.

This is one of the most tastefully furnished and equipped homes of this type on any resort. It is a pitty the above guest expectations were of a completely different grandure. Past guests who have reviewed our home have comended the property for their requirements and fedback the quality of the service and cleanliness provided. Our MC provide toilet roll and soap for each bathroom although it does seem the guest wanted additional provisions which our MC don't provide The pool did have a filter problem which was rectified and I can garauntee is serviced on a weekly basis. When completing the booking form the guests can view all the equipment and provisions we provide for their stay as this has a link to our home. An electric barbecue is stated with the details that all of our guests receive and at no time is a gas or charcoal barbecue mentioned. . This is a wonderful home and we want to make sure our guests vacation experience is uninhibited. We are sorry that our home didn't live up to your expectations and hope it doesn't put you off visiting Disney in the not so distant future .
We look forward to welcoming guests new and old to Scotch Corner.

My family and I stayed here for 3 weeks and had a fabulous time. Paul was very helpful before the trip, recommending various sights, restaurants, etc and was always happy to answer any questions we had. The house, and the beds, are very comfortable and it’s easy to think of this place as a home from home and much better than staying in a hotel any day!
The resort was very quiet and the main pool, with the outdoor spa, was usually empty. There wasn’t much going on but as you spend most of the time here doing the parks this really isn’t a problem. Within an easy walk to Walmart and Medieval Times it’s also easy to find!
There is a slight issue getting taxi’s from here because of Walmart, as taxi drivers assume that’s the pickup and therefore not worth much in the way of payment for them. Therefore I would recommend getting a taxi drivers personal card if you need the occasional night off driving!Response from Paul MacLellan - 06/24/2011

Just the ticket. Alovely place to come home to after a long day at the parks. The kids loved the pool and my 12 year old son thought he had the best room in the house with his own tv and on- suite bathroom. Fantastic holiday, lovely villa would highly recommend it

I was a little concerned about staying in a townhouse. Despite the fact that it was just me, my husband, and our 2 grandchildren (6&8) I wanted us to have room to spread out. We did, the house was spacious and as attractive as the website photos. The bed in the master bedroom was amazing! When I say I slept like a baby I'M not kidding! The kitchen was fully stocked and everything I needed was already provided. Several times we had company for dinner and the large dining table was perfect. The children loved being in the pool and we enjoyed lounging Inthe comfortable chairs or sitting around the patio table eating and chatting. The neighborhood was clean and very peaceful. Having a 24 hour Walmart right next door was the icing on the cake. The townhouse was so convenient that trips to the parks, restaurants, and stores were effortless. We enjoyed our stay immensely! We look forward to returning to scotch corner in the future:)

We enjoyed our 2 1/2 weeks at Scotch Corner very much. Although it was located just off the busy Rt 192, it was quiet, and the South facing pool had privacy as it faced a conservation area. We were very close to a super Walmart where we could walk. The villa itself was well equipped and easy to take care of, and easily accomodated four adults and two children when our son and family visited for a week. The pool was a big hit. Even though the weather was chilly, the pool was heated and the chidren loved playing in at after days at the "Worlds".
The location was just 15 minutes from Disney, and there ware several golf courses nearby that we took advantage of.
WiFi was available at the Clubhouse as well as a fitness center which we used often. The staff there were very helpful.
All in all, we were very satisfied with our vacation at Scotch Corner. -

We recieved a 100% quality service. The villa has everything you need and more. The location is great not to far to any of the parks, nice restaurants in the surrounding areas. It is in a lovely location and all amenities are on hand.

This house is well located with regard to shopping, theme parks and local amenities. There are numerous restaurants nearby, The Olive Tree Italian restaurant and Longhorn steakhouse both excellent. Walmart 24 hour store ( McDonalds have outlet in store ) is within walking distance of the house.
The house is well located in the development, end of terrace townhouse, ample parking adjacent, not overlooked from rear. The interior of the house is clean bright and well maintained, as was the swimming pool area outside. The furnishings are of good quality and all appliances were in working order.
The management company provided an adequate service when required. During our stay we had an issue with the front door which was dealt with within 40 minutes, and resolved within 2 days. However, we felt that the issue of an emegency key was not covered in the Guest Information folder in the house.
The pool area had a poolguard/fence that could be removed if required, and there were plenty of toys for the children to play with in the pool. I was surprised when I noticed there was no lock on the mesh door into the pool area, maybe that is a local requirement, but it does mean that anybody can access that area.
There is a large pool in the development that residents have access to, and the pool is child friendly, max depth 3'6''. There is a small palyground and volleyball area adjacent to the pool. There is also a wi-fi hot-spot there, (though not 24 hour), however a bar facility would have been nice.
We had a car rental which would be essential for this location, we found the rates with Hertz reasonable. Can't comment on public transport as we never used it.
Overall we would reccommend this house and we enjoyed our stay there. It was great to come back after a long day to the air-conditioning and the pool! -

Both my husband would recommend this rental home for a nice relaxing vacation, it was close to everything, especially Walmart, which was so nice to be able to get groceries. Disney was really close, lot's of restaurants and my favoutire thing, lot's of shopping. Thanks for telling us about The Loop Paul. The home was beautiful, very clean, and lovely furnishings. My grand-daughter didn't want to leave. We really enjoyed our stay and Paul was so easy to deal with, he even called a couple times to make sure everything was going okay. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there on another trip to Florida. Thanks Paul and Amanda for letting us enjoy your home. We had a glorious month.
