When I called to do the reservation I wasn't sure about the house and it's amenities but I strictly requested the internet access and pool with spa. When we arrived the house we were supposed to get didn't have a spa neither the internet access so after checking it out we came back to the front desk and the customer service was great. They couldn't find any house at that time with internet but we got the spa and instead of 3 bedrooms they gave us 4 bedrooms in "Rochdale at Cumbrian Lakes". This house was great and had pretty much everything beside the internet access but we solved our problem with daily internet cafe. The location was good because was very close to Walmart and all the main shopping centers. We enjoyed our stay even with small baby around which most of all loved the pool. This was a perfect vacation which we repeat for several years already and we always deal with Magical Memories Villas because after many years of trying other expensive hotels we fall in love with separate houses with pool and spas from Magical Memories. That was the 4th year of vacation with them and was as good as when we discovered them at first year. We already are making reservation for summer 2010 and of course that will be with Magical Memories as well. I recommend this place and hope that everyone will have planty of fun in there.

Magical Memories staff was excellent...the house was nice..horrible beds and tvs though..they definitely need to be updated. I had a back ache for a week from the bed. Other than the beds and tvs, the home was very clean and well maintained! The pool area was nice...would recommend a BBQ grill.

We arrived at the Rochdale Sunday afternoon to an odor that indicates that the air is not circulated enough on a regular basis throughout the house or the carpet in the bedrooms had never been cleaned outside of normal sweeping. The cleaniness of the house was at best par as the edges of the white baseboard were also black.
The supplies in the house were sub-par as dishes were cracked, there were not enough utensils, bakeware, cookware, dishes etc. If you love to grill - guess what no grill. The beds were lumpy and there was no sweeper in the house to pick up dirt brought in from the outside. Tile in the kitchen area was cracked, the plastic on the chairs were ripped and half torn off...you had to put a towel on the chair and sit on that so you would not scrape or cut your body because of the ripped hard plastic on the seat cushions.
If anything nice came out of our stay at this property it was that we were close to Disney and it was quiet at night. The area was nice, it is gated (I truly believe everyone has the same code t...just by looking at which buttons were clean and which ones were dirty), never got to use the pool because it was cold. Although we did pay Magical Memories to heat the pool, but they decided since it was too cold not to turn the heat on. By Wednesday, I called and they said they were not going to turn the heat on....but guess what when we checked in they made me sign the form showing that I was charged for paying for heat. If I would have never called and demanded my money to be refunded, they may have kept the money for the pool heating. Upon check-out they did refund me the cost for the pool heat.
Overall, I would not recommend the property and would second-guess my-self from using Magical Memories for other properties in the future. We stay twice a year in Hilton Head and use ResortQuest and the service ResortQuest has blows Magical Memories out of the water. Thank you for taking the time to contact us regarding your concerns. It is extremely unusual and honestly disappointing to hear that one of our homes was in this poor shape. As a Resort Quest partner and a management company that takes a great pride in its product, we take significant steps to ensure the quality of our homes. This Winter has been unseasonably cold, creating a problem for Florida pools. The decision to not turn on pool heat is based on experience that tells us when it is this cold we are simply not able to generate enough heat for our guests to notice a difference in the water temperature. I am sorry that this was not communicated to you more clearly and we have addressed the situation internally to ensure future guests are clearer on the process including the fact that you will be refunded for any unused days. I hope that you will give us another opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to uphold the Resort Quest experience.

This is the third year that we have rented the same home in Cumbrian lakes. It's a spacious 4 bedroom, three bath house which is close to all restaurants and a great base for our annual golf trip. We request the same home every year and always are very satisfied with the cleanliness and upkeep.
