We just returned from Florida and a very busy vacation. The townhome is close to the parks, the splash pool was great for our family. The resort was clean and the community pool was wonderful as well.
The house is dated in appearance and was less than stellar clean. Little things - noticable dust clumps on vents, dirty light switches, etc. Nothing huge, but add everything up it turns this house into 3 stars, not 4 or 5. Also, an annoyance, none of the switches were labeled and were placed oddly around the house. The pool porch light was behind the couch. The pool light was by the dining room table, etc
also, there is no DVD player in the house as stated on the description. Every beach/vacation house I have rented in the last 12 years, have had tvs in most rooms (this one does not have tvs in the bedrooms, only the family room), games, toys, cards - something for the family. This had none.
Now, for the biggest unexcusable offense is no pool alarm. I went with five children. I called the rental office, but it was not fixed. Needless to say, I did not rest easy and woke up early in the mornings because I was afraid one of the toddlers might open up a door.
Overall, it was okay. Not the worst, not the best. I would probably rent from villa direct again but I would not rent this house again.

We are sorry that you found the home to be less clean that you would have expected (and we would have wanted!). On checking, this home had been cleaned by a sub-contractor, and we failed to perform a full inspection prior to your arrival, for which we apologize.
We were surprised by your comment regarding the DVD player. We checked after you had written your review and found one in the family room under the TV. It is possible that the owner has bought a replacement and installed it after your departure, but our records had showed that there was one there, so we're not sure what happened.
Unfortunately, the light switches are installed by the builders and we must agree that this is a continuing process for VillaDirect to label all the switches in all homes, so thanks for pointing this one out to us.
Your complaint about the pool alarm is very concerning to us and to the senior management team also, and we have raised this internally for further review/investigation as to why it was not installed and also why the problem was not addressed during your stay. All homes managed by VillaDirect are typically installed with a switchable pool door alarm (or a built-in alarm) positioned at a 5-foot height (to stop toddlers tampering). In addition, most of the homes we manage have a pool safety fence installed which, while difficult to erect and take down is the state required barrier to avoid pool accidents.
We note from our reservation notes that our field service team did address some of the issues you raised during your stay and that our Guest Service Team tried to call you during the day - but you were presumably at the parks have a great time. We hope that these issues that you experienced didn't spoil you vacation and that you'll try one of our other homes the next time you visit the Disney area.

My family and I absolutely loved this vacation home. It had more space than the four of us needed. The private splash pool was awesome. It was great to come "home" after a day at the parks and let our kids enjoy the water.
The unit was clean and well furnished. It was especially nice having a washer and dryer to throw our clothes and towels into at the end of a hot, sweaty day. The decor was simple, yet pretty. Quite tasetful!
The home was close to all the Disney parks, Univeral Orlando and Sea World. It was also located in an area with many restaurants and stores, which was helpful when we needed a quick meal or some supplies.
The staff at VillaDirect was professional, friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out were a breeze.

This is a beautiful home. The location is very close to all the attractions. The Villa staff were all so friendly and helpful. This was our second stay in this home and it was worth the repeat. This may become our home away from home. This type of home would be great in other locations also.

The home was well kept, but had an unpleasant odor. It was very convenient to the parks and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Spent very little time in the home, because we were at the park all day. They offer Dial Up internet service which is a joke, or give you the option to pay extra to rent a wireless card. My phone service was spotty at the home (tmobile) and we could have used wifi for service. It would have also been useful to plan our days at the parks. We paid for heated pool, but never used it (not their fault). Great Location. Reasonable Priced home. I am sure they can fix the smell, and they should definitely add high speed wireless internet.

We are sorry that the home had an unpleasant odor when you stayed. We have since been and checked and we couldn't find a problem, so we must assume that it was something local and not a problem within the home.
We are concerned that you felt that VillaDirect should provide wi-fi internet access for free. VillaDirect does offer many homes which include this feature, but they do cost slightly more per night. On those properties whose owners do not provide such an amenity (despite our recommendations), VillaDirect offers the 4G MiFi internet hub service, which costs money that we regret the company must pass on to guests. However, it does offer a reliable service for those guests who need to have internet access at higher speeds. We will recommend to the owner of the property (again) that they upgrade to offer wi-fi access in their home, and we thank you for your feedback.
Hope that this issue wasn't too problematic and that you will book with us again soon.

The overall experience. Having three full baths and three bedrooms gave the entire family enough space to move around and get ready quickly in the morning. We made good use of the kitchen, for breakfast and occasional dinners. This saved money and time. Of course, we enjoyed having a little private pool in the backyard. One minor issue occurred during our stay - the thermostat stopped working. The thermostat was replaced quickly. The other issue I had was that the price for the stay was slightly higher than what I would have expected. Otherwise, very enjoyable stay.

Regarding the price, the dates that you stayed were in one of the busiest (and therefore most expensive) times of year. Guests can rent this unit from as little as $110 per night during off season - and with current special offers and discounts, that can be dropped by as much as 30% to below $80 per night. This was our second stay with Villa Direct and our first time at this townhouse and both experiences were top rate. We will not travel to Florida or any other extended vacation area another way. The kids enjoyed the pool and basketball court and the community was pleasant and felt like home away from home.

This was our first time staying at a Vacation Rental intead of a hotel. We simply loved the experience. The "Sun Mantra Villa", was all we hoped for and even more. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. The villa came equipped with all the appliances and furnishing needed to ensure a complete and relaxing stay for us.
My family especially enjoyed the private pool, although they spent a great deal of time in the community pool as well.
