The service offered by Lowery's was really efficient and professional. They were able to assist me when issues arised with the reservation. I enjoyed working with the staff; however, the house left much to be desired.
When we first arrived, on February 15th, the house was extremely stuffy, had the old, not lived in house scent. Since it was cool, we were able to open the windows to air the house out. Next, the television in the master bedroom did not work, tried to work with the a/V inputs, nothing worked! Didn't miss that too much since I don't have a TV in my own master bedroom at home.
Refrigerator! Past guests apparently put raw fish in the refrigerator and ended up putting the cooler in the front yard behind the hedges. Called Lowery's about the problem and while I was out, they came over with baking soda to absorb the smell! Really! I actually cleaned the refrigerator out with bleach (that I bought) to get rid of the smell (it worked).
In my opinion, when the home is cleaned, everything should be inspected. This should not have been a problem. But I graciously took care of it and didn't call them again.
Master bath - there were ant/roach baits throughout the bathroom! Extremely tacky for a vacation home! The owners should consider having it exterminated monthly instead of dropping cheap baits in the house.
The home's size is pretty good, there were 5 couples and everyone had enough space/privacy! The game room is sufficient. The decor? Well, when considering the price, you don't expect luxury and it's definitely not luxurious.
Location - absolutely fantastic! Traffic can get really congested on 192 in the morning, but you are right near everything! Food, fun, grocery stores, etc. The location and price of the home attracted me to it, because I was traveling with a group. We would like to thank you for posting a review of your stay from February 15 – 17, 2013
We appreciate when a guest advises of any concerns they have during their stay
so we can take care of anything you feel may not be correct.
On April 15, 2013 at 5:05 pm you called our offices to advise there is a fish type smell
in the refrigerator of the home. We immediately called the cleaners to go to the home
to check on this and do the necessary as needed. The cleaners reported they had recleaned
the refrigerator and also left a fresh box of baking soda in the unit, as this is done on every home.
On your review you noted some concerns on the master bedroom. We have been to the
home and have found the flat screen tv to be working 100% as the guest before and after your
stay had not reported any concerns with this. Also, you noted some concerns with bait traps.
We have been to the home and could not find these in the home. Noting, all homes are treated
by pest control services monthly both exterior and interior as this home has never had a pest concern.
On the above items, we could have been advised of your concerns and addressed them
immediately for you. However, you opted not to call us during your 2 day stay.
Our goal is to make sure all of our guests are taken care of at all times and to make sure the
home they are staying in is well kept and comfortable for them during their stay.
