Hungerford, UKGreat home for a short stay
Left on 01/09/2013 for a stay in December 2012
The home was perfect for a short stay and had everything that we wanted and needed. There was a good amount of space in the villa and the outside space was also useable, with a good small pool, hot tub and patio all under a big airy bug screen.
The location was OK, nice and quiet, but a long-ish drive from the main attractions. Disney is closer, but Universal is nearly an hour away in traffic, and Orlando has a lot of traffic!!!
The service provided by Gemstone Properties was also great, everything was organised and just as they had promised. It all worked out perfectly and made for a very enjoyable short break. Thank you :-)

Saint Marys, GAWe had a wonderful vacation staying at this wonderful home!
Left on 12/05/2012 for a stay in November 2012
Oaktree is a really great house in a really great location! It took us 5-10 minutes to get to all of the Disney parks without fail. It was a lot closer to the parks than we thought it would be. There are tons of grocery stores and two Wal-Marts withing minutes for easy shopping. The house itself was perfect for our family of four. It would easily sleep 8 and not be too crowded! We probably wouldn't have survived 5 days at Disney World in a cramped, tiny hotel room! Gemstone was a great choice for us!
Had a little trouble with the pool temperature but Gemstone tried everything they could do to resolve the problem and when they couldn't get the temp up to a warm level, they refunded the money we paid for the heated pool. Great business to support! -

The nieghbourhood was quiet and the house was clean and well maintained. The home had every thing that we needed and the kids enjoyed the playstation and the T.V.s in all the rooms. We really enjoyed the screened in pool both in the morning and after a long day at the parks. The location was super, it was close to all the shopping that we needed.
We really had a great time and would stay again. We have been telling all our friends and family to give it a try because they wiil not be disappointed.

I was treated very well when I up to check in. Every question was answered. While staying at the house, there was never a time that I felt like it was not my own home. Everything I needed or wanted was avery short drive. (5 minutes).

Hamilton, Ontario, Canadaseriously needs comfortable beds.
Left on 05/25/2012 for a stay in April 2012
Oaktree, like all of the homes we have had the pleasure of staying at with Gemstone was wonderful, clean, lovely and accessible. The only complaint that needs some serious consideration is the beds. Three rooms and not one comfortable bed! Please take this seriously. After busy days, either at the parks or exploring any vacationer needs their rest.

Asheville, NCOaktree is a great house for a spring training baseball trip.
Left on 04/11/2012 for a stay in March 2012
The house is very nice, well maintained, and had a completely stocked kitchen. We especially enjoyed the pool/ lanai area with the TV. Only a couple of negatives: the sofas (being hide-a-beds) weren't very comfortable for sitting; the mattresses were a bit hard; and who was it that fell in love with wallpaper borders?!
I want to thank Mark Bass and Nancy Bass for all their help with getting baseball tickets and giving directions. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. -

Left on 03/02/2012 for a stay in December 2011
This is our second time to stay in this house.
The location with the park so close is great.
There has been some upgrading done but it still needs some more.
A garbage container with a lid to keep the animals out would be a great improvement. The dishwasher has seen better days.
We sure missed the clothes line in the back yard.
The new floor tiles, furniture and Tv's were a nice improvement.

Left on 02/15/2012 for a stay in February 2012
We enjoyed our stay at this property very much. The location was convenient, the house was clean and very comfortable. The pool and jacuzzi were a nice feature. The neighborhood was quiet with the exception of planes passing overhead quite frequently. The planes seem to stop at night so it didn't disturb anyone's sleep.
A couple of notes for future guests: The game room is actually the garage. My son had a blast in the game room but travelers in the summer may find it a little warm in there. The Jacuzzi was cold the first night, make sure to tell the property management to up the temperature prior to your arrival. -

Delaware county, PAA wonderful stay in Kissimmee
Left on 09/12/2011 for a stay in August 2011
Our Family vacation started with a 5 hour flight delay which proposed some problems with checking in after hours. The Property Manager, however, made that process quick and easy. The home was very clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated which made unwinding after a draining first day of vacation, very very relaxing.(i.e late nights relaxing in the spa with a few margaritas.) The kithchen was fully equipt with counter-top applianes, extra china, etc. so breakfast in the mornings were actually a breaeze. We even spent 2 days at the house grilling and lounging around. The Rec Room was great for my kids and my husband, as we spent a lot of time playing pool, air hockey and darts. Our twins boys and daughter absolutley loved swimming in the pool while I relaxed on the Lanai or made burgers on the grill. There were plenty of towels and extra linens which was refreshing and the movie collection wasn't to shabby either. The wild boars seemed to play a few jokes on us every night will leaving tracks in the yard and knocking over the trash cans:-)!! and the tiny lizards were actually cool and my boys loved catching them! All in all, I would really have to say that Gemstone homes has set the bar very high for other area vacation rentals.

We really enjoyed our stay at your property. It was very clean and spacious. When we were driving off the highway to the property we weren't sure of what to expect because it seemed in the middle of nowhere and the scenery wasn't too impressive. However, we were happy to find the house to be what we thought it would be. We didn't use the pool because it was too cold and we decided not to add to our expenses by paying to have it heated. The hot tub made up for it. We were disappointed that the oranges on the tree were too bitter to eat.
The location was good for us overall. We spent 4 days at the Disney parks which was about 20 minutes away.
There were lots of great restaurants to choose from and it was great having Wal-Mart so close to buy groceries.
I would like to have seen dishwasher and laundry detergent provided as we ended up buying supplies that we couldn't take with us.
Overall, My husband and I, and our 3 teenagers had a great time at this property. We would definitely recommend it. -

GuatemalaGreat place, not luxurious
Left on 04/14/2010 for a stay in April 2010
The place is located about 20 to 25 minutes from the
main theme parks. We found the house clean, except
for the pool, enough linens, all appliances working
and in good shape. We had many mayor grocery stores
around and were near the known outlet malls. The neighborhood was OK and quiet. I would highly recommend the house to family's with children
visiting the parks. The house is not fancy nor has
the best location, but lacks nothing and a 20min ride
can save you enough to be worth a while. I never saw
anybody from the rental company, and did not need to
see anyone, everything was working well. -

This is our 3rd time staying with Gemstone. Each experience has been wonderful. The Oaktree is a great house for families. The game room, pool, and hot tub are perfect to keep kids busy and happy. This house is very close to Disney. It is a perfect place to relax after a long day at WDW. The house is comfy and cozy and a great place to just hang out and enjoy. I have always had the best vacations when I stayed at a Gemstone property. Ray and his staff are always helpful and there for whatever you need. It's the only place I want to stay when I go to Florida.

ColoradoNice Home After the First Night
Left on 06/03/2009 for a stay in May 2009
Our family really enjoyed this home during our five night stay, after the first night. When we arrived on Sunday evening (the night before Memorial Day) the next door neighbor was having a karaoke party on their patio with loud music that you could hear throughout our house. After a few hours my wife went over to ask them to turn the volume down. The neighbor was not very responsive. We also had problems getting on the internet access, and there were no instructions for doing that. I thought that I had made a really big mistake in renting this home, and was very depressed.
Fortunately, after the first night we did not hear any more noise from the neighbor. Gemstone's offices were closed on Sunday and Memorial Day, so they were not able to help us with the internet access until Tuesday. We were finally able to get my wife's computer online (mine never worked) on an eithernet cable. There was no wireless connection available.
Our kids (age 17 and 21) loved the pool and the large amount of space in the home. My wife thought it was nicer than a lot of fancy hotels she has been in. With a few minor execeptions, the place was very clean. The kitchen is nice and open and very usable. The tap water and the water from the dispenser on the fridge tasted like sulphur, so we used bottled water for drinking.
The home is away from the main highway (US 192) and backs on an orange grove, so it is very quiet (except when the neighbor is playing loud music). Drives to Disney World were pretty fast and there are a lot of good restaurants and grocery stores in the immeditate area. It was a handy location. In the end, we wished we were able to stay longer.Response from Gemstone Properties - 06/11/2009

We are very sorry that the neighbor's party disturbed our guest on the first night's stay. As you can see from other guest reviews this is typically a very quiet community. Unfortunately during this stay the neighbor was having a holiday weekend party. The guest did contact us on the emergency number and we advised them that the police department could be contacted however they did not elect to.
Once the guest contacted us regarding the internet we quickly rectified the issue during normal working hours. It is our policy to provide the best possible customer care with any and all concerns a guest may have. -

This is a very comfortable, well equiped house. The location is on a quiet circle and a nice walk to the new park.
We had two sets of Grandsons visit and they think the new play room and PS3 is a wonderful addition.
The entertainment of the birds in the orange grove behind the back yard was a great addition while having our breakfast outside in the mornings.

Merrimack, NHMuch better than a hotel
Left on 03/05/2009 for a stay in February 2009
My wife and I stayed here with our three teenage boys over school vacation. The house is gorgeous, and is close to the area attractions while at the same time being private because of an orange grove behind it. We used the hot tub just about every day, and the kids loved the game room and the pool. There was even a PS3 there to keep them interested. It was very economical for us, we would have had to get two hotel rooms to accommodate every one, and I think it's better than a hotel because of the privacy. I definitely recommend it for families.

Bowling Green, KYone of my favorite Gemstone properties
Left on 01/28/2009 for a stay in January 2009
Lovely, comfortable home, new game room perfect for family with kids, nice pool and hot tub, neat neighborhood with an orange grove in the backyard. I even saw deer and wild boar on the drive back to the subdivision. Has an out of the way feel while being close to everything. Nice floor plan, very roomy. Have stayed here twice now and its one of my favorite Gemstone properties and I have stayed at 5 different Gemstone properties in this size/price range.
Will most likely stay with this one from now on when I visit Florida.
