kentHome needing some much needed TLC!

this pool home was booked via USa vacation homes over the telephone back in June for a November vacation, so can appreciate that many of the more desirable homes wouldve been booked up by then.
this home does what it says on the tin - pool home, 5 beds, sleeps up to 12. this home is in seriously need of attention to detail when it comes to cleaning, and refurbishment and safety aspects throughout the home.
Out of the 15 trips we have made to the sunshine state - this was the poorest quality villa we have stayed in. We have stayed in different price brackets from the cheap and cheerful to the top of the range homes dependning on our length of stays and this fell well below the expectation to fall into the 'luxury' division.
the homes carpets in the bedrooms were dirty, previous tenants rubbish were under beds and furniture - found used ear plugs, tissues when we were doing our final checks before out departure.
the electrics in the house were somewhat to be desired with missing parts on plugs, and loose fittings and non existant fitting cover in the tinkerbell bedroom where our 3 year old was sleeping, and our 1 year old roamed at times - very dangerous.
the kitchen had other bug inhabitants that liked to live in the dishwasher or appear from under neath the toaster - my thinking is the monthly pest control visits had not been actioned for some time, or the villa had not been cleaned.
other things were wardrobe doors not running on the runners, just general maintanace things that make up the whole "experience".
the house felt like it needed a good clean all over and some paint applied, and carpets cleaned/replaced.
the toilets were dirty (black mould) and the toilet brushed and holders - eeew.
we will not use USa vaction homes again.
to us it felt that no one was checking up on cleaning/maintance standards in the property between clients, which i can appreciate that this can be difficult at peak/busy times of the year.Response from USA Vacation Homes & Spa - 12/11/2012

We really enjoyed our stay. When we come back we will request this home again. It was close to shopping and very easy to locate. This is our first time using this company and you're by far the best. I recommend this company to everyone. Thanks for making our vacation great.

we have been staying with usa vacation for the last 4 years we come every December and be here for the Christmas holidays. we rent a 5 bedroom home with a jagauzzi and a pool. the home was lovely alot of space for the kids to play and the kitchen was very spacious i think if the pool was glassed in for the winter months the heat on the pool would last long but it didn't stop the kids because the weather went right along with the vacation to make it the best yet i recommend any one to stay at this home and book through usa vacation home they are the best yet!!!!!

I was very happy with the stay at this house. The location was nice and close to the attractions in the area and resturants. Place was in great condition when we arrived and the whole setup great. I will do this again in the future. If you have a group of 6 or more this is the way to go. Better than staying in a hotel and also cheaper.

The house was in excellent condition, just a few minutes away from the park and the price per person was unbeatable. The house was a five bedroom luxury home that fit 11 people and a baby (crib provided at a small cost). Highly recommended.
