Enjoyed our stay at Hampton Haven. Would have been helpful to know that the only way to walk to the beach was to walk along the side of the by-pass road to get to a side road. Evidently there had been a footpath a one time, but this now has a fence blocking it off. With small children, the by-pass was a little scary. The house itself was nice, but could have been cleaned better. Found hair in bathtubs and looked to be pet hair on floors and furniture.

In the future, please call us and we will be happy to send housekeeping back out to rectify and issues. Unfortunately, access to the beach does become altered by new construction etc. and we are not always made aware of these changes. Your input is helpful and appreciated. We truly enjoyed our home. There was entertaining for everyone. The pool and hot tub were such a treat and the play station and game room were fun for the younger family members. The home is decorated and furnished nicely. This is not our first time to this home all I know is it made us want to come back. I was a little disappointed with the way the last people before us because the floors were not swept so before we settled in we cleaned up first.

Deck railings were loose. Bedroom sliding door lock broken.
Home was dirty, carpet torn, baby gates broken, futon broken, moldy shower curtains.
Cigarette butts around outside of home and in volleyball area.
Pool and hot tub were not clean.
Trash was not picked up for first two days of our stay.

We do not get to have our dtr & her husband, or our son and his wife and our only granddaughter all under one roof alot. So this was the perfect place to do it. A great week also, had my bff & some of her family stay two nites.

First I would like to say the keyless entry was wonderful. No one had to remember a key! The pool was very refreshing as the heat index was 105 when we were there!!! There was plenty of room

The house was very nice. Plenty of room for two families. Loved pool and hot tub. The house had everything that we needed. The location was nice. Central to many activities and food. Not far from ocean, short walk was nice. Checkin was not good. Was told over phone would probably get in house early so arranged travel from pa accordingly and had to wait past 4 oclock. The checkin lady was short with us. Did not get good first impression with checkin. Also the volleyball court was filthy, couldn't use it or the horseshoe pits and we wanted to. Overall the house itself was great.

The house was so nice. The house was a treat, also we so appreciated being allowed to bring our dog Baxter along. The decks were great and the pool, hot tub and all the furnishings were great. Thanks to the owners for sharing their get away paradise with us.

We truly enjoyed out visit and the home...the house was stocked well from kitchen to the beach gear. The kitchen could use more "skillets" there were only 2 and they were both old and small. As for our departure we were very upset when the house keeping showed up at 8:10 am and came into the home and woke up 2 of the children...the home was clearly still occupied with vehicle in the driveway.

We stayed here over the labor day week. Easy check-in. Great location...each access to OBX. The home new and really clean. We came with another couple. We loved the wifi; easy access to the beach; and pool and hot tub. It's centrally located to the restaurants and outdoor activities...easy to zip to Duck or down to Nags Head. I'd highly recommended it.

First of all Resort Realty has excellent services. This was the first time I have dealt with them. And plan to use them many more times in the future. Everything from looking for a place to stay, to booking the property, to the picking up of our keys (which we were late after the office closed and never called to let them know), to checking out by telephone; went as smooth as you would want it to go.
The house was beautiful. Plenty of room for the 12 of us that stayed there. We loved the layout of the house,the game rooms for the kids,the beautiful view from the third floor, and a personal favorite of my two year old, the pool. There was only a short walk to the beach. And the all-terrain wagon was awesome to haul all of the chairs and boogie boards, that the house included, to the beach.
The only complaint or should I say suggestion for the tennants who stay there would be that when you use the grill that they have provided, please take care of it as if it were your own. Clean the grates after you use it. And when you are finished with it, please clean your old ashes out for the next family that will be coming in.
All in all, this was the best family vacation I have ever had. And would definately come back to the same house again. Hopefully next year! -

We have been vacationing in the Outer Banks for ten years and have rented homes from Nags Head to Corova (4x4 only) through different agencies and Resort Realty has been one of the best. A nice, friendly staff and easy check in/out (love the new phone check out procedure!) are only two of the many things that impressed me.
Hampton Haven was a well-equipped new home with a nice pool and furnishings. While the price was reasonable for three families and we had plenty of room, access to the beach was difficult, the two bunk-beds were terrible because of broken frames and poor mattresses, the noise from the four lane highway was very loud; i.e. sirens, large trucks, etc. (house is directly on Croatan Hwy), and garbage pick-up was inconsistent with posted information.
We always enjoy our time at the beach but would not rent this house again. -

The home was very nice. The linen was a problem. WHen we got there the bin was full and come to find out it was DIRTY LINEN after we had dug through it. We had to call to get new, clean linen. The housekeeping department was EXTREMELY Nice in getting us clean linen. It just took 2 hours to get it. We didn't get it until around 8pm. For the most part, we really enjoyed the home. The staff at REsort Realty was very nice. THe linen would be the biggest confusion that we faced that week.

Our family enjoyed the terrific kitchen. It was well stocked with everything we needed. The house has a great layout. The pool was a nice size. There were a few things that could make the house better. The queen beds had poor mattresses (you can see and feel the springs in the mattress). The pyramid beds could use better mattresses as well. The king bed, however, was great. Even though we were on the main road, we did were not bothered by the traffic. We would definitely visit the outbanks again.

What a great place to stay. To start, we realized that everything you could
need was planned for and prepared for you. Everything from can openers to
extra razors. The game room is a lot of fun, the pool was quite convenient,
and the hot tub was well worth the extra fee--it provided much amusement
while the weather wasn't quite up to snuff for swimming in the ocean.
Speaking of the ocean, it's a 3 minute walk from the house. Everything in the
house is gorgeous--I would rent this house again in a heartbeat. I am actually
having trouble thinking of any negatives for this house whatsoever. If you're
on the fence with this house, book it now. It's great. You won't regret it. -

Our overall experience here was great. The staff was great and the house was very nice. About a 2 block walk to the beach. Swimming pool was definitely a big plus. Very nice ammenities and furnishings. We will definitely stay here again in the future.
