We think this home needs work. The walls need painting, carpets need cleaning, mattresses need to be replaced, outside weeds and landscaping needs help. It needs a
general cleaning and refreshing. Loved the pool, kitchen, and layout. We had parking for 6 cars, quiet street, good views. -

This unit needs to be upgraded. the downstairs area has rotten wood by front & back doors with ants, There are large spiders & cob webs thruout house. the kids were bitten by the spiders. the blinds do not go back down. The ac unit can not keep up on the top level. The hall bathroom on upper level would not flush properly, sevevice was out twice while we were there but could not fix. light bulbs out all over. a 4 person tub for a unit that holds 16 people & the jets not working. the unit had 2 hot water heaters & one was not working. leaving 1 hot water heater for 15 people to shower, can you say cold shower. I have beeen to the OBX twice before & had no problems at all. after setting up a family reunion I was embrassed by this house. we paid over 3,800.00 for this house & it was not worth it.

Disappointed renter

For the price of the rental, in my 8 years renting house in Kitty Hawk, I was disppointed. Kitchen had empty cabinets and seemed under-stocked for a house that claims it serves 16. Water pressure outside was better than inside. Two hot water heaters and not enough hot water. Smelled musty or moldy upon entering, could have been the attempt at cleaning. Key did not work except around back, or at least not easily. Hot tub cover was already damaged, as was one screen on the upper deck area. Huge bath in main bedroom had water w/weak pressure, so it was pointless to have such a huge tub because it took forever to get enough water in it to even take a bath. I'm assuming the price of the rental, respectfully, covered the mortgage on the house if there is one, but the rental experience itself was never one of "this is worth it" compared to other houses we've rented in the past. Truly disappointing, and it appears little effort is made to keep this property in top shape. If you pay for a rental, everything should work and be in quality working condition for your week's rental fee. It's just good business and a reasonable expectation.

The house was beautiful but lots of steps to go up and down
can hear traffic from the main road.Can not walk to beach too far and busy highway.Paid for pool to be heated and they waited to the day before we left to tell us the heater was broken.The first few days was OK but water was cold then it got cooler and windy so one of the things I rented the house for -heated pool the grandchildren could not enjoy.One of the stove in the kitchen did not work and one of the queen bedrooms bathroom toilet water was turned off when turned on it ran all the time called twice about these problems but no one came to look at them or fix them.Alarm clocks didn't work alot of the lights didn't work and bugs came in door on lower level.
