AVAILABLE FOR WEEKLY RENTAL ONLY, the Classic Outer Banks weekly vacation rental cottage "Grogan" is located right on the beach with awesome views of the ocean and it has plenty of old style southern charm! This home is located at 4923 N. Virginia Dare Trail in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina at Mile Post 2. This home is elevated but has 1 level living. The Living area and Kitchen are on the West side of the house. All 4 bedrooms are just down the hall as you walk towards the ocean. On the right side of the hall are 2 bedrooms and a bath. We absolutely love the Grogan beach house!!! I've vacationed in OBX for the past 30 years and have vacationed there w/ my own family for the past 6 years. I have to say that the Grogan house has been the best house I have stayed at over all my years in OBX. With our big family, total of 6, we need a spacious home that is close to the beach so we can keep an eye on our children at all times. The Grogan home has just that...enough beds so all our children can have their own bed and 2 bathrooms which is always nice w/ 4 girls in the house. The kitchen and counter space is wonderful. The living area is very roomy. I love having the Washer and Dryer on the first floor. We love the screened in front porch where we like to eat lunch and supper. I especially enjoy the opened front porch where I can sit w/ my cup of latte and watch my husband and son fish and all the kids enjoying the ocean or playing in the sand. And on those hot summer days the kids can play in the sand under house to get away from the sun. The convenience to the beach and a spacious home is the most important to us and that's exactly what we have at the Grogan home. It would be nice to have central air in the home on those hot and humid summer days but the house fan and ceiling fans work very well and I just love opening up the windows and letting in the ocean breeze, smelling the salt air and falling asleep to the waves crashing on the shore. We are coming back to OBX and the Grogan house in June and are already counting down the days!!!

Very good older cottage, well equipped with a wonderful beach location. We have reserved this property again for 2012. Only drawback was no air conditioning.

We loved our stay in the Grogan house. Excellent location, plenty of room for our family of 6 and loved having the W&D; on living floor, also liked having 2 bathrooms and a dishwasher. Kids liked having Tv's in their rooms and what a beautiful view from the top deck. Everything was great @ this home and we definitely want to come back and stay there again next yr. Can't wait!!

Been staying at Grogan for years.
